Ji Yemo’s eyes became much deeper, as if a still ancient pond, glistening with starlight, "Miaomiao, can you call me ’dad’?"

Miaomiao didn’t hesitate, calling out crisply, "Dad!"

To a child her age, there was much she understood, yet also much she did not.

She simply believed that as long as she was still the Ji Family’s baby, that was good enough; everything else, those incredibly complicated matters for adults, were not as important to her as a lollipop.

But for Ji Yemo, that call of "dad" was something he had waited over a thousand days and nights for, across countless rivers and mountains, finally reaching his ears.

Ruan Xixia watched this scene and felt her cheeks becoming wet.

She wiped it with her slender fingers and looked at the moisture on her fingertips, taken aback for a moment.

"Pretty sister!" Little Miaomiao’s sweet voice pulled her back to reality, "You like brother, brother likes you, brother became dad, pretty sister, do you want to be my mom?"

Ji Yemo glanced at Miaomiao in surprise; this little girl was naturally skilled at matchmaking!

Ruan Xixia bit her lip and a touch of bewilderment brewed in the depths of her eyes.

Words of refusal lingered on her tongue, becoming difficult to voice.

"Little Miaomiao, this is not just my decision, your dad has to agree too!" She smiled gently, casting a knowing glance at Ji Yemo, clearly implying: Hurry and settle this!

Ji Yemo, however, seemed not to comprehend, his voice calm and even, "I agree."

"Wow, pretty sister! Dad agreed for you to be my mom!" Miaomiao was so happy she wanted to throw flowers, clapping her little hands excitedly!

Ruan Xixia grew anxious, "I... I didn’t agree..."

Before she could finish, Ji Yemo pulled Miaomiao into one arm and wrapped the other around her, his gaze directly on her, his voice husky, "Such a cute daughter, don’t you like her?"
