I Will Fulfill the Role of the Villain-Chapter 119
Luke's face was burning, and he could barely breathe.
It felt like something was pressing down on his chest, leaving him stifled. Slowly, he opened his eyes.
"......."
His vision was filled with fur.
Luke sighed heavily and picked up Monet, who had been sitting on his face, flicking its tail playfully.
"You almost suffocated me."
Lately, Luke had been sleeping with Monet. Every night when he lay down, Monet would scratch at the door until he let it in, and before he knew it, the little creature had claimed his bed as its own. Even Gwen no longer bothered looking for Monet whenever it disappeared, knowing full well it was with Luke.
Luke placed Monet back on the floor and ran a hand through his tousled hair. Outside the window, the sky was beginning to brighten. He had woken up much earlier than usual.
Playfully, he patted Monet’s rear.
"You woke me up too early."
But Monet just rolled on the floor lazily, swishing its tail.
Truthfully, the real reason Luke had woken up early wasn’t Monet pressing down on his face—it was because he had barely gotten any sleep.
And that was entirely thanks to his conversation with Leo last night.
"Because you and the commander are dating, right?"
"...Damn it, why did that idiot Leo have to bring up such nonsense?"
Luke let out a deep sigh.
Even after returning to the estate, he hadn’t been able to stop thinking about it—how others perceived his relationship with Theo and what that meant.
He had already recognized that his relationship with Theo had changed. But now, he wanted to understand exactly what his feelings were—except that wasn’t easy.
Theo was special to him.
He was the key to completing the original story’s happy ending. As a person, he was someone Luke genuinely respected. Watching Theo fully embrace his role as commander and excel in his position had made Luke feel an odd sense of pride and happiness.
But he knew that wasn’t the same thing as what Leo had implied.
And yet... his feelings toward Theo had become more complicated than simple admiration.
His heart had pounded like crazy when he learned that Theo had issued an order across the entire headquarters for his sake.
So... was that because he liked Theo?
Or was it simply because it was the first time someone had cared for him so openly, and he wasn’t used to those emotions?
Luke had never once thought of Theo that way before.
"After all that talk about figuring things out... I can’t even figure out my own damn feelings."
Luke flopped back onto the bed. Monet seized the opportunity to leap onto his stomach, curling up comfortably.
"What about Theo? What did he figure out about me...?"
Theo had said he wanted to understand Luke better—that he already knew quite a lot.
At the time, Luke hadn’t thought much about it.
But now, he was curious.
"If the commander confessed to you, would you accept?"
Leo’s words suddenly echoed in his mind, making Luke jolt upright.
Monet tumbled off his stomach, letting out a disgruntled meow.
"Why am I thinking about that now?"
Luke groaned, ruffling his hair in frustration.

If what Theo had "figured out" was that...?
Leo wasn’t the type to ask questions like that just for fun.
Luke found himself absentmindedly biting his nails before shaking his head violently. No way.
His mind was too jumbled. He needed a cold shower.
Originally, he had planned to go back to sleep since it was still early. But at this point, there was no way he was falling back asleep.
Luke left his room and walked toward the bathroom at the end of the second floor.
He sighed heavily as he opened the door—only to be met with a wave of hot steam.
The bathroom was still filled with mist.
Someone else used it before me?
Just as that thought crossed his mind, he spotted a familiar figure.
"Luke?"
Theo stood there, rubbing his hair with a towel.
Luke froze.
Not because Theo was in the bathroom.
But because Theo was completely naked.
"......."
His gaze instinctively traveled downward—broad shoulders, powerful muscles flexing under damp skin, scars etched across his torso making his already striking physique even more intense.
Then, without thinking, his eyes lowered further.
And the moment he saw the sheer size of what lay between Theo’s thighs, he violently spun around.
"...S-Sorry. I didn’t know you were here."
He could hear rustling behind him, likely Theo reaching for his clothes.
Luke bit his lip hard.
Why the hell doesn’t he lock the damn door?! And why is he using the bathroom on my floor when there are other ones?!
He wanted ❀ Nоvеlігht ❀ (Don’t copy, read here) to scream all of that at Theo.
But right now, he was too overwhelmed by the visual to get any words out.
The heat from the bathroom felt like it was sinking into his skin.
"I’ll wait outside. Take your time."
Luke bolted out of the bathroom and pressed his back against the wall, sliding down onto the floor.
"...This is insane."
The steam had made everything hazy, but not hazy enough.
It was almost worse that way—because the way things were only partially visible made it even more provocative.
What was even funnier was that this wasn’t the first time he had seen Theo naked.
During academy training camps, during their time in the military—they had shared communal spaces. Back then, it had been normal.
But this time, he had seen too much.
Every single detail stood out vividly in his mind—the way Theo’s muscles shifted as he moved, the way his damp hair clung to his skin, the way he had looked at Luke without an ounce of embarrassment.
That was... not safe for my sanity.
As Luke lay sprawled on the floor, Monet strolled over and rubbed against him.
Then—
The bathroom door creaked open.
"Luke, why are you sitting there?"
Theo stepped out, now wearing a robe.
His expression darkened when he saw Luke slumped against the wall.
"Are you feeling sick?"
"Huh? No, I just..."
The robe was loosely tied, revealing part of Theo’s chest.
Luke’s eyes almost drifted downward before he quickly grabbed Monet and shoved his face into its fur.
"If you’re done, go get dressed. I need to shower."
Instead of leaving, Theo crouched in front of him.
"Are you sure you’re okay?"
Luke was glad he had Monet as a shield.
"I’m fine. Just go."
"Why are you holding Monet like that?"
Theo reached to take Monet from him, but Luke tightened his grip.
He needed this cat to survive right now.
"Luke."
"......."
At that moment, Monet—deciding it had enough—effortlessly slipped from both of their grasps and scampered away.
Which meant Luke no longer had anything to hide behind.
Theo’s eyes immediately zeroed in on his face.
His very, very red face.
Theo hesitated.
"Luke... your face has been turning red a lot lately."
Luke stiffened.
Theo reached out, brushing his fingers against Luke’s forehead and cheek.
"Maybe you should see a doctor."
A doctor? What the hell am I supposed to say?!
"Excuse me, doctor, I saw a naked man, and now my heart won’t stop racing. Is this normal?"
There was no way in hell he was doing that.
And why was Theo still half-naked while saying all this?!
No wonder Leo had jumped to such stupid conclusions!
"I’m fine. Stop making a big deal out of nothing."
Luke shot up and yanked the bathroom door open.
As he stepped inside, Theo suddenly pressed a hand against the door.
"What now?"
"I’m just worried you might faint. I could at least wash your hair for you, like last time—"
"ABSOLUTELY NOT."
Luke nearly screamed, shoving Theo back and slamming the door shut.
From the other side, Theo let out a small sigh.
"Don’t use water that’s too hot," he said before finally heading downstairs.
As he entered the dining room, Gwen greeted him.
"Good morning, young lord. Breakfast is nearly ready."
Theo glanced at the table, then casually remarked,
"Add more tomatoes to the salad. Luke likes them."
Gwen blinked.
"And the soup?"
"I made sure it was seasoned the way he prefers," Gwen replied.
Satisfied, Theo nodded.
"By the way, young lord, your hair..."
Theo had always tied his hair back neatly while working.
But today, it fell naturally over his forehead.
"Oh," Theo said with a small smile.
"I’ve just come to like it this way."
Because Luke had told him it suited him better.
