Once Lillian had finally managed to escape from Marionette’s... comfy lap... they left the quaint cafe.

The Academy Realm has four key areas inside it.

The first was the ever-so-busy Bazaar and its seemingly never-ending trade and offers.

The second was the gender-divided dormitory, which was surprising in its size and held a noteworthy number of students in acceptable quarters.

The third was the actual Academy Building for students to commute and study in as they get lectured by teachers, who would most likely curse them with work due in two days.

And lastly, the fourth was a grand...

"Holy guacamole! Is shit a Colosseum?!" Millis yelled in shock, pointing at the humongous Roman colosseum before her eyes.

This was where their next class was going to be held.

The Headmaster must’ve been quite the fan of historical aesthetics—for its exterior was a splitting replica of the one found in Rome back in her old world.

However, it was a replica that was without its damages and bruises from time. But that didn’t mean it wasn’t being used with its obvious signs of being used for entertainment.

After all—why build such a building that would’ve cost you hundreds of thousands or maybe millions to make, if you weren’t going to use it?

Lillian held her chin for a moment, ’I mean... if I was rich, I think having a colosseum made for the fun of it sounds pretty hilarious.’

She watched as Millis energetically ran towards the archway of the colosseum—guarded by people in eye-catching uniforms and wielding spears—before turning towards Marionette.

Marionette had her arms folded, scrutinising the imposing Colosseum with curious indifference.

"Pretty cool building, huh?" Lillian asked—slightly interested in what the raven-haired beauty had to say about it.

Marionette closed her eyes and thought about how to structure her words. This took her a few seconds.

"It’s big."

Lillian, although standing still, felt like she tripped in the air. Like some sort of invisible rope has suddenly looped itself around her ankle and tugged at it.

Even if she half-expected such an anti-climatic response, she couldn’t help but feel Marionette could have added just a bit more words.

"That’s... it, huh?"

Marionette raised an eyebrow, "... I... don’t think I can say much here, Lillian." She then tilted her head, "What exactly do you want me to say?"

Lillian rolled her eyes before chuckling, "Just wanted to see if something like this can get a reaction out of you. Like Millis."

She then turned towards Millis and found that—who was just talking to the guards—had disappeared. Already inside the Colosseum.

Marionette’s eyes widened slightly at her words, puzzled a bit.

"You want me to be like that woman?" she asked—oddly offended a bit.

"Hm? Not reall—"

"If you do then I absolutely refuse, even if it’s for you, Lillian. I’d rather not do something so inappropriate."

The thought of Lillian being groped was strangely still floating inside her head. Only now being more noticeable because of the conversation.

She then side-eyed Lillian.

"Or do you perhaps want me to fondle your chests like a degenerate?"

Lillian’s eyes widened. The usual blush returned to her face. Her face then twitched, "And pulling me into your lap wasn’t inappropriate?"

"... I suppose you are, right." Marionette nodded, reflecting on what had occurred a dozen minutes ago. "But my point still stands. And plus..." she then gave a small smile, "Would you not hug a rabbit tightly close to you?"

Lillian silently stared at her before turning and walking towards the archway.

She went up to the guards and just showed them the golden badge before heading inside—not speaking even a single word.

Marionette stared at her strangely before muttering, "Did I say something weird?"

The two swiftly made their way into the large open centre of the glorious pale-yellowish stone arena.

Lillian’s steps scraped against the gritty sandstone underneath her.

She looked around, discovering seven large separated crowds—distanced by a metre gap in between.

Her eyes eventually landed on Millis socially interacting within one of these large groups.

Lillian walked over, standing beside Millis and spoke up:

"You were excited to get in here fast." she snickered.

Millis smirked and rolled her eyes.

"Ya wouldn’t after seeing something like this?"

"Fair enough." Lillian giggled. She then glanced to the side, discovering she was talking to the Second Prince of all people.

He stood with a tired hunched-over posture with bags under his eyes as he stared at her.

"Oh! Uh... I greet the Second Pr—"

She was interrupted by the Prince’s dismissive wave.

"No need, Arius. No need... just call me Reph. You earned the right to anyway with how you’ve been able to beat the Roselle beside you."

"Hm? Roselle?" Lillian raised an eye, turning to the side before jumping in fright at the sight of a stoic Marionette.

Lillian dramatically let out a few rapid breaths, "Don’t scare me like that!"

"I didn’t try to..." Marionette stated before nodding towards Reph, who nodded back with his hands in his pockets.

Millis stood closely next to Lillian and whispered into her ear, "What is this class again?"

Lillian tilted her head at her, "I believe this is—" Before she could answer, a booming voice erupted at the very front of the Colosseum.

"Welcome to the Academy’s Colosseum!"

At the very front, standing on top of a wooden crate, was a short man with a large bushy beard and sharp eyes with aged wrinkles around it.

He was around the height of about 4ft11 and wore a set of leather armour with white fur coating the edges of it.

He also had quite a nasty scar over his left eye.

"I am Corran. The overseer and teacher of the Survival Combat class alongside a few others." he gestured towards six other teachers.

"Some of you may know this and some of you don’t. Fortunately, I am going to explain either way. Each of these classes will be held with others of the same year. This is the reason for there being seven separate groups which I hope are divided into your classes."

He said, scratching his chin through his beard before continuing in a gruff voice.

"Anyway, we as the teachers have decided that all of you have to be sparing with one another."

Once saying that someone then raised their arm, specifically one from the Aspirant class—E class.

It was from a timid young man.

"Uhm... will that be everyone here?"

The gruff man raised an eyebrow, "Will that be a problem?"

"Well... I find it unfair. What if we get matched up with someone from one of the higher classes?"

The teacher just shrugged, "Push through it and do your best."

This caused the young student to shout:

"Huh!? Just "push through it?!" shouldn’t we be paired up with someone close to our skill level like a person from their own class?"

"Life is unfair. The Trials you may face are unfair. The strength of the monsters you will fight will be unfair to you and so will their nature." Corran folded his arms.

"Just because you got into this Academy, be it through money or a recommendation. Just know that we—your teachers—will work every single muscle inside your body to the point they will snap.

"Why you may ask? It’s simple! Because we are your teachers! In a world like ours that can at any point be subjected to monsters possibly many times stronger than us, we hope that we can pass down as much knowledge as we can to the newer generation in hopes they can survive.

"So you better keep that "this is unfair" thought of yours deep inside that damn rich noggin’ of yours and keep shut!"

Corran then felt a pat on his shoulder. He looked back and saw a colleague of his staring at him with a tired expression.

He looked back towards the student he was berating and saw that they had already shrunk back.

"Ah...! It seems I had rambled on long enough!" he then coughed into his fist with an embarrassed look.

He then listened to the words of his colleague as they whispered into his ear.

"Apologies... we shall now be giving out some basic weapons. Please come up to your respective teacher and ask for what you would like. We will also make it so the Paragon class would spar amongst themselves instead."

Once saying that he comically hopped off the wooden crate and steadily ran over towards Lillian’s group.

Lillian’s eyes twitched, ’This guy just contradicted everything he just said.’

The other teachers chuckled at his run before going over to their group.

Lillian walked towards the back of the line. She kind of wanted to give herself some more time on what she wanted to use for the spar.

She had been "rocking" the sword and rapier for a bit. Should she switch to something else?

She was then snapped out of her thoughts once Millis closed in beside her and whispered into her ear while giving brief glances towards the short scruffy man giving out weapons:
