I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess-Chapter 145: Second Layer of the Forest of Disruption? [6]
A dark figure, contrasting with the greyish fog, walked through the fog. Its body was blurred, but it was large.
Roughly the same size as the Beetle itself. It was also wide and had multiple spindly limbs on either side of its body that pushed it through the fog.
The ground shook slightly at its imminent arrival.
Lillian gritted her teeth and crawled from under the Beetle. She then used the Odachi as a crutch to push herself up before pointing it towards the large entity.
Her eyes narrowed when a part of it finally came into view. The thing that broke through the wall of fog was a long, thin leg made of black chitin.
It was similar to the Beetle's in a way, except it seemed less made for stabbing and puncturing prey. And also the fact it had a frightening amount of joints.
It made it seem like some kind of rope rather than a leg due to how limp it looked. Lillian waited and watched as another leg arrived through the fog.
With its two front legs now out of the wall of fog, it pushed itself through, showing its face to Lillian, which left her shocked.
It was a nightmarish display of twitching mandibles and layered eyes—eight to be exact. They were like glistening black orbs that shone with a predatory light. Between the jagged fangs, a wet, pulsating maw was hidden...
Drip... Drip... Drip...
... Dripping in a reddish thick liquid that was mixed in with a purplish venom.
Lillian's eyes glanced down at the venom that sunk into the ground before looking back up to its face again.
Above its maw were two small, hairy appendages that twitched like cautious fingers.
Lillian soon tore her eyes away from it and looked at the rest of its face.
It wore a black chitinous armour like some sort of medieval knight with heavy ridges and abnormal symmetry that left her a bit irritated. Its body was bulky and covered in the same exact chitinous material.
She moved her gaze onto its back and found metallic quills growing out from it, growing through its black armour. They twitched as though they were alive and smacked against each other, causing small...
Click... Click... Click...
... Clicking sounds to happen. It was like a porcupine crossed with an arachnid.
She then moved her gaze down, staring at its bloated abdomen that seemed to pulsate in a disturbing manner.
And then she brought her eyes back to its eight nimble legs that seemed to bend at an abnormal angle but still moved elegantly nonetheless. Eventually, it came to a stop.
The Spider stared at the two, soon focusing its gaze on the Beetle that glared at it with unbridled hate for the damage it caused to its glossy shell.
Lillian watched as the Beetle curved its body around her and faced the Spider, who continued to stare curiously at it.
It then shifted it body around, stabbing its legs into the dirt and faced the Beetle as well, engaging in an unexpected stare down with it.
The Spider was without a doubt taller than the heavily armoured Beetle. Even more imposing when it came to the aura they gave off. And yet the Beetle did not back down with its glare.
Lillian hid behind the Beetle, hesitant to engage. She didn't know why but she felt the aura the Spider gave off to be quite similar when it came to the Tree and the Cockroach back in the Trial.
She narrowed her eyes and held her chin. But why did it remind her of those two? What could be so similar about it?
"..."
While she went into deep thought, the stare down between the two horrors soon came to an end. And instead...
... The first attack was made.
The Beetle tensed the muscles in its legs and blasted itself forward, kicking up the dirt.

The Spider pulled its body back before using its limp legs to send it forward like a slingshot.
BOOM!
The Beetle's horn smashed against the chitinous face of the Spider, causing a like dirt cloud to erupt outwards from their clash.
Lillian, who was behind the Beetle, became dirtied due to its charge. As she brought up her head to glare at it, another wave of dirt washed over her.
"Oh, come on!" Lillian rubbed her eyes before eventually washing away the dirt on her eyes with water. After it had been cleared, she turned back to what was going on.
With their legs stuck in the ground, the two monsters pushed against each other, trying to get leverage over one another.
Skrrrrr...!
As the Beetle pushed its horn against the Spider's ridged mask, a low screech emerged from the scraping. At first, it looked as though it was winning this power struggle.
... And it was.
The Beetle's strength managed to push it back ever so slightly. This sight left it grinning malevolently as its teeth chattered in anticipation.
The Spider looked unfazed as the small appendages above its maw twitched at it.
Despite it looking to be leaning towards their win, Lillian couldn't help but think further. Why did this thing... have such an aura to it? She then widened her eyes.
She pulled the Odachi back into her Mana Realm as she rushed towards the Beetle—her arm stretched out towards one of its legs.
As this happened, the Spider's left front leg was then raised from the ground. At the tip of it, a long needle suddenly grew at an alarming speed. And then in a fluid manner, it flashed the needle into the Beetle's side.
Crack...!

Marionette held her phone, staring at its screen and at the arrow that was pointing in a totally different direction than the one she was facing. "Why is it facing the other direction...?" She asked before scratching her right cheek with her index finger.
"Did I get lost again?" Marionette wondered as she turned around again and began walking towards the direction the arrow was pointing.
