I Want To Move In Next Door-Chapter 1121 - 1118: Han Zhijin vs Song Youman 8 (Free - )
Song Youman, who had been clamoring all day to meet "Brother Xi," finally did so, but he did not arrive alone...
There was another man, who seemed to be about the same age as him, fairly good-looking, with a slightly mischievous smile.
Just like when they met on the highway that day, "Brother Xi" was still wearing a black mask that covered most of his face. He was dressed in a black tee, which made his already lean figure seem even more slender.
Dong Yi: "Brother Xi, you’ve arrived..."
As Dong Yi spoke, he started to get up to pull a chair out for the two men.
But before his hand even touched the chair, Han Zhijin spoke up: "No need."
Maybe it was because of the mask, but his voice sounded muffled; to Song Youman, he felt both familiar and indescribably strange.
Han Zhijin didn’t look at Dong Yi, but as if knowing the doubts in the latter’s heart, he spoke again the next second: "Have you finished eating?"
"We’ve finished, yes..." Dong Yi paused for a moment before adding, "Brother Xi, you told us to eat first, so Miss Song and I went ahead..."
Before Dong Yi could finish speaking, Han Zhijin took out his wallet from his pocket and said to the waiter who had led them up: "If you’re finished, then let’s settle the bill."
Settle the bill?
When Song Youman heard these words, her eyebrows instantly furrowed. She had been making a commotion all afternoon in his place, and it wasn’t just for him to come and settle a bill...
Song Youman instinctively started to speak: "Brother Xi..."
As Han Zhijin was paying the waiter and as if he knew what she was about to say, he slightly lifted his head, glancing in her direction: "Miss Song, if you don’t mind, how about joining us at the bar for a while?"
Song Youman swallowed the words she was about to say. She was somewhat at a loss about the man before her, uncertain whether he was indeed the person she had been looking for, waited for so long. She was unfamiliar with the people here, and her meeting with Dong Yi and the others was but a fleeting encounter. Following them to a bar certainly wasn’t a smart move...
But the thought that there might be a slim chance that this person was who she was searching for, Song Youman chose to take the risk without hesitation. She smiled at "Brother Xi" and nodded: "Sure, I happen to feel like having a few drinks myself."
Han Zhijin said nothing more, signed the bill, and then gestured to Dong Yi to go downstairs and start the car.
The bar mentioned by "Brother Xi" was not the kind of bar Song Youman often visited in Beijing, but more like a nightclub, filled with many attendants who were extremely suggestive in their manners.
It was obvious that Dong Yi and his party were regulars here; the wait staff treated them with great enthusiasm and respect, even ushering them to the largest and best private room.
The manager personally came over with an iPad to take their drink orders, but "Brother Xi" didn’t even glance at the menu, simply saying "The usual".
