I Want to Die, But I Am Immortal-Chapter 109: Bully (2)
The teachers were very surprised. They did not understand why she was so calm. A small smile appeared on Adam’s face.
The principal came into the cafeteria. James Adam’s homeroom teacher was with him. James saw Adam and a small smile appeared on his face too. This was the chance he had been waiting for.
This was his chance to kill Adam. This was his chance to get the one-billion-dollar bounty. He had been having some doubts about it. Especially after Philips stopped coming to school.
But with one billion dollars he could leave this country forever. He could start a new life. He would not have to be a boring teacher anymore.
The principal saw Anderson and his friends on the floor. He saw Lily holding her stomach in pain. He was very scared. He knew who their fathers were. Anderson’s father was the very powerful police commissioner. And Lily’s father was a very rich man who gave a lot of money to the school. He was in big trouble.
The principal turned his angry eyes on Adam.
Adam was still smiling a little. He was happy about what Sophia had said. The principal walked towards Adam.
He lifted his hand to slap Adam.
But Adam’s hand shot out. He caught the principal’s wrist. He stopped the slap before it could land.
The teachers who were holding Adam’s arms were very surprised. They were using all their strength to hold Adam. But Adam was still strong enough to stop the principal. Adam then squeezed the principal’s hand very hard. The principal’s face twisted in pain. He fell to his knees on the floor.
"Let go of me!" he yelled. His voice was full of pain.
Adam held his hand for a few more seconds.
Then he let go.
The principal looked at his hand. It was numb. He could not move it.
James Adam’s teacher stepped forward. "This is a school!" he shouted. "This is not a place for thugs! I never thought you would do something like this Adam. Your parents would be so ashamed of you."
But before James could finish his sentence Adam turned his cold eyes on him. "If you say one more word about my parents," Adam said. His voice was a quiet and dangerous whisper. "You will not leave this room alive."
James was very scared. He took a step back. His face was white with fear.
The principal was very angry but his hand still hurt. He looked at the other teachers who had come to help. "Take him to my office," he said. "Now."
He then went to the nurse’s office. Anderson and the other hurt students went with him. The nurse looked at the principal’s hand. She told him that the bones in his hand were broken.
The muscles were also badly damaged.
The principal realized then that Adam was not just a normal bully. He was a dangerous criminal. He had to be punished for what he had done.
Anderson was also very angry. "Give me a phone," he said to the principal. "I need to call my father."
The principal tried to calm him down. He tried to tell him that it was not a good idea. But Lily and his other friends started to yell at the principal too. They all wanted him to call his father. The principal finally gave up.
Anderson called his father. The police commissioner was at his office.
"Dad," Anderson said. His voice was full of tears. "A boy at school bullied me. He beat me and my friends up. And he told me that he was the one who attacked us on the hill that day."
The commissioner was sitting at his desk.
He shot up from his chair. "Who is this boy?" he demanded.
"Uncle it’s a boy from my class," Lily said from the other side of the phone. "He’s Sophia’s boyfriend."
"Sophia?" the commissioner asked confused. "Who is Sophia?" 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"Dad just get down here now!" Anderson yelled snatching the phone back. "He beat me up really bad! The teachers have him now!"
The commissioner’s eyes turned red with fury. "Give the phone to the principal," he roared.
The principal who had been standing to the side listening in fear took the phone from Anderson. "Yes sir," he said his voice trembling.
"Don’t do anything to that boy until I get there," the commissioner said his voice a low dangerous whisper. "Or it will be your head."
"But sir he’s just a child," the principal stammered. "And these things happen between children."
But the commissioner was not listening. "We have a lot of cases going on right now," he shouted. "Including a new one where a lot of people have been killed and we can’t find a single suspect. I could easily add your name to the list of suspects. Even if you get off you’ll spend the next ten or twenty years in a courtroom."
"I’m sorry sir," the principal said his voice a pathetic whimper. "I’ll keep the boy here until you arrive."
He had planned on giving Adam a light punishment a slap on the wrist. But now he knew that Adam’s fate was sealed. He would be lucky to get out of this alive.
He did not want to see any of his students get hurt but he was also afraid of the powerful people involved. He was trapped.
The commissioner turned to his officers. "Come with me," he said. He stormed out of his office and got into his car. I was already dealing with this boy, he thought. But at least now I have a legitimate reason to go after him. I can finally vent my frustration.
Back at the school Anderson Lily and their friends were leaving the nurse’s office. "You guys wait here," the principal said trying to stop them from going to his office.
But Lily had other plans. "Didn’t she say she would be waiting for him in class?" she said to Anderson. "Why don’t we invite her to the principal’s office as well?"
