"A delegation from the Tanada Kingdom will come to the Gipan Kingdom, huh?"

I can see my father nod his head and say.

"Yes. Because of this, I have already asked the diplomat from the Verlagan Kingdom to stay here for a week or two."

"Why? Isn’t this a good time to show them to the capital? You know, showing that we have other allies from the Western Continent and making the negotiation easier."

"A potential ally. The king asked me not to take them to the capital because we did not want the Tanada Kingdom to lure the diplomat from the Verlagan Kingdom to join them instead of us."

My father nods and says.

Before the sun even went out, we were already ready to go. I woke up at four in the morning., preparing to go to the capital. Hilda and Silva also woke up half an hour after I woke up. They are wearing their adventurer clothes for this journey and will change when we are about to arrive in the capital city.

Other than Jonathan and Jullian as our bodyguard, Freyja manages to persuade my father to let me bring her as my third bodyguard when we are in the capital. Three bodyguards will come with us to the palace, and fifty-seven knights personally picked by my father as our guards on the road.

I look at my mother and Sonia and see them waving their hands. My mother is already crying a river of tears because we only stay in Shadowfall for a short while and need to leave once again.

Sonia knew that I needed to perform my duty and did not look sad. She is a little bit upset that I did not bring her along but understands when my father explains it to her. Rachel, on the other hand... She cried all night last night. I need to take her to my bed to make her stop crying and promise to give her a lot of ice cream and cake when I return.

Lucky for me, she was still asleep and did not need to see me depart. Or is it a bad thing? She will get even more clingy when I return if she does not see me depart. Oh well. I will take care of it when I see her when I get back.

My mother hugs me tightly and looks at my face with her teary eyes.

"You cannot do that, Mother. He is our king, you know?"

"I don’t care."

I can only chuckle and give her one last hug. I walk toward and pat Sonia on the head.

"Take care of your Grandmother, okay? She might spoil you rotten, but I want your daily training."

"Of course, Father. I will not forget about my daily training."

"Good."

After saying goodbye, Silva, Hilda, and I get inside the carriage while Jullian, Jonathan, and Freyja use the horse just like the other knights. We are going full speed, which is why we all have horses.

King Hernandes, King of the Gipan Kingdom, looks at his friend and advisor, Duke Verqur, and says,

"Is that a letter from the South?"

Duke Verqur nods his head and says.

"Yes."

King Hernandes takes the letter, opens it up, and reads what is written on the letter. After reading it for a few seconds, Hernandes nods his head in satisfaction.

"How is it, my friend?"

"Grandmaster Gwyndolin will come. They will depart early in the morning. They will try to get here as fast as possible by using an all-horse convoy."

Duke Verqur mods in satisfaction as well and takes the letter. He reads the letter and says.

"This is great. With three Grandmasters attending this meeting, the Tanada Kingdom will get even more pressured to explain the real reason why they are moving their army to their western border." 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Duke Verqur nods his head and says.

"We need to do all of this because of the delegation that comes to our kingdom."

The king nods his head and says.

"The Diplomat Prince. The person who makes the Elven Kingdom agrees to open a trade between their kingdom. He is a shrewd, smart, and bold person who has a great instinct that lets him know if there is an opportunity. We need all we can get to win this meeting with him."
