I Took A Succubus's First Time-Chapter 70: I’ll Do My Very Best!
Yuuna's sharp gaze locked onto the glowing red magic circle in front of her, the eerie light bathing her face in crimson. Her eyes flickered with intensity, searching for answers as if the swirling energy might reveal its secrets. Every flicker of the circle sent a subtle chill through the air, the anomaly it emitted setting her instincts on high alert.
The rest of the student council sat in tense silence, fully aware of the gravity of the situation. The Sarushima group's control over the area should have prevented any kind of breach. Yet, somehow, an anomaly had occurred, and its presence loomed like a storm cloud over their heads.
Normally, any disturbance within the Sarushima group's territory would be detected and dealt with swiftly. The fact that angels and fallen angels had slipped past their defenses was both unprecedented and alarming. Yuuna couldn't shake the thought that humans might have played a role in aiding these intrusions, their meddling potentially opening the door for the angels to cross boundaries they never should have breached.
The room felt heavy with unspoken tension. The idea that the heavens were becoming aware of their secrets was terrifying enough, but the thought that the angels might have uncovered the existence of the child of anti-prophecy, Kouhei, sent a cold knot twisting in Yuuna's stomach.
Her chest tightened at the thought of him in danger. Protecting Kouhei wasn't just about his significance as the child of anti-prophecy—it was something far deeper, rooted in the raw, consuming love she held for him. That love burned in her heart, driving her to do whatever it took to keep him safe.
Misuzu broke the silence, her voice low but firm. "I guess the heavens got tipped off by the Demon Hunter Association," she said, her golden hair shimmering under the dim light. Her piercing blue eyes never left the magic circle as she leaned back in her seat, her expression both focused and fierce. "It's no wonder they're brazenly stepping into our territory."
"Okumura-san is in serious danger," Yumi said, her tone heavy with concern. "Not just outside the Sarushima group's rule but even within it. If we don't act soon, it wouldn't be a surprise if someone ambushed him out of nowhere. He could be stabbed before he even knows what hit him." Her words were blunt, but her worry was evident. While Yumi's concern stemmed more from her duty to safeguard the child of anti-prophecy than any personal attachment, her determination was no less intense.
Yuuna's voice cut through the room, steady but laced with urgency. "I'm going to investigate this anomaly myself," she said, her gaze never wavering from the circle. "I'll head to the area where it happened and figure out what caused it. But being there alone would draw suspicion—one girl wandering around like she's looking for something would stick out. Not to mention, if delinquents notice me, they'll take their chance. That's why I think we should go as a group."
She knew investigating alone wasn't just risky. It was also inefficient. Having the others with her would increase their chances of uncovering the truth while keeping her safe from any potential threats.
"Fufufu... It's because you're so damn tasty to those kinds of guys that they can't help but want you, President," Nagisa teased, her glossy lips curling into a mischievous smirk. "Too bad for them, though—your heart already belongs to someone, doesn't it?"
The room went silent as the others exchanged puzzled glances. They had no clue about what went on behind the closed doors of the Saonji Mansion. None of them knew that Yuuna and Kouhei were already lovers, much less that their relationship included some undeniably explicit moments. Naturally, for those who weren't privy to the mansion's secrets, confusion was only to be expected.
But one of them wasn't so easily fooled. Misuzu Yuki's sharp eyes flickered with understanding. With her knack for observation, she had already picked up on the subtle signs, even if she kept her thoughts to herself for now.
Nagisa, however, had her reasons for making such a bold statement. She wasn't one to let tension linger, and as someone who had fully embraced her gyaru persona, keeping the atmosphere light was practically second nature to her. Her golden hair swayed as she leaned back, radiating an infectious energy that seemed to ease the mood instantly. Yuuna couldn't help but admire how effortlessly Nagisa carried herself, even in moments like this.
"Actually," Yuuna said, her voice calm but with a faint edge of calculation, "there's a karaoke place near the area we need to investigate. Why don't we stop by while we're at it? It'll serve as the perfect cover. If we look like we're just out for fun, it might keep those annoying pickup guys off our backs. Well, mostly. A glare or two should handle the rest."
Nagisa tilted her head, skepticism flickering in her eyes. "You really think a glare is gonna be enough? Come on, President. We're all hot as hell. If anything, that's just going to make them come at us even harder."
She wasn't wrong. Every member of the student council was undeniably gorgeous, each with their own unique appeal. Anytime they stepped out together, especially when patrolling the Sarushima Group's territory, they inevitably drew attention. Pickup attempts were as predictable as the sunrise, and while they could fend the guys off, it was a constant annoyance that never seemed to stop.
"Then how about we bring Kou-kun with us?" Nagisa suggested with a playful wink. "He's a guy, isn't he? If he tags along, it'll probably scare off some of those creeps. He could be our unofficial bodyguard!"
The idea wasn't without merit. Having Kouhei with them would mean they could keep a closer eye on him while possibly avoiding some unwanted attention.
But...
"No, we can't let Kouhei-kun come with us," Yuuna stated firmly, her tone leaving no room for argument.
"Eh~? Why not?" Nagisa pouted, her glossy lips pulling into a dramatic frown.
"Because the area we're heading to is where the anomaly occurred. If Kouhei-kun comes along, we'll just be putting him in even more danger."
While it was possible that neither the angels nor the Demon Hunter Association had identified Kouhei as the child of anti-prophecy, Yuuna wasn't about to gamble on such slim odds. Letting him stay behind and dealing with a few annoying pickup attempts was far better than risking his life.
"Which is why I'm planning to leave him behind with someone to guard him." Yuuna's voice was steady, leaving no room for debate.
Nagisa's pout deepened, her lips forming a perfect picture of frustration. As much as she hated the thought, she knew Yuuna was right. Putting Kouhei in danger would be unforgivable, and she didn't want that on her conscience. But still, the thought of being apart from him made her chest ache. Worse yet, she already knew who would be assigned to guard him—Hina. The mere idea made her stomach churn with jealousy.
Yuuna watched Nagisa's conflicted expression, her sharp eyes catching every flicker of emotion. She understood all too well what Nagisa was feeling. That same longing, that unbearable ache of wanting to be with someone you love, had once tormented her too. Back then, she hadn't fully understood it, but now it was all too clear.

Still, Yuuna also had her responsibilities. As the leader of the Sarushima Group, she had to balance her personal feelings with the well-being of her team. "I'll assign one of our members to stay behind and protect Kouhei. We need someone here in case anything happens at the school. So, Nagisa, I'm asking you—are you okay with guarding him?"
Nagisa seemed lost in her own thoughts, her gaze dropping to the table as if she hadn't heard a word. "I mean, it's only natural. Hina's the one—"
Then her mind clicked, and her head shot up. "W-Wait, you mean me!?" she stammered, her voice rising as she leaned forward, pressing her hands against the table for support. "N-Not Hina?"
Yuuna gave a small, knowing smile. "I need Hina with me for this investigation. So, I can only count on you to protect him."
The disappointment of not being included in the investigation stung, but Nagisa couldn't help the sudden rush of warmth that filled her chest. Her heart felt full, as if it had been flooded with sunlight. She was being trusted to protect Kouhei—her Kouhei. The thought alone made her feel like she could conquer the world.
"I-I'll do my very best!" she declared, her voice brimming with determination as she bolted out of the student council room, leaving a whirlwind in her wake.
"And I wasn't even done yet," Yuuna muttered, shaking her head. Still, a small, amused smile tugged at her lips.
Watching someone fall for Kouhei wasn't something Yuuna minded. In fact, it only solidified how special he was. If others loved him too, it meant Kouhei was worth loving. Just like Hina, she didn't see any problem with Kouhei gaining more women by his side. Not only would it strengthen them—thanks to his ability to empower demons through their bonds—but it would also increase their chances of defeating the heavens.
Kouhei wasn't just precious to Yuuna. He was everything. Precious to Hina, to Nagisa, and probably to every woman fortunate enough to know him. That was why Yuuna had to protect him at all costs. She would erase anything and anyone who dared to threaten his existence.
