I Received System to Become Dragonborn-Chapter 761: Upper Hands
Veyna's sharp eyes scanned Eccar. He was still bloodied, but his condition had improved significantly. His wounds had closed and though his body was still covered in his own blood he stood strong, seemingly unaffected by the injuries he had sustained.
She clenched her fists. There was no point in dragging this out any longer. Maybe this beast was as strong as he claimed to be. And while she had no idea how Laston and Dredge condition were, she couldn't afford to waste any more time here.
With a single thought, she summoned her strongest weapon.
A portal flickered open behind her, and from within a dark metallic cube emerged.
It hovered for a moment before breaking apart into several intricate mechanical pieces. Each piece shot toward her at incredible speed, seamlessly attaching itself to her body.
Sections of her synthetic body shifted and opened, providing slots for the pieces to lock into place.
Eccar watched the transformation unfold with mild amusement. Unlike the Elves with their glowing Magic or even his and Erend's raw elemental Dragon power, this was something else entirely.
The mechanical pieces moved with precision, a seamless blend of technology and combat efficiency. It actually looked… well, pretty cool. Maybe after this, he and Erend could take some of this technology for themselves.
The last piece clicked into place, and Veyna's transformation was complete.
She now stood twice her original size, encased in sleek, jet-black mech armor lined with glowing crimson energy and runes.
Her shoulders bristled with weapon attachments, her hands now reinforced with heavy gauntlets, each one equipped with devastating firepower.
Veyna raised her arms, her new weapons humming to life. Her glowing red eyes locked onto Eccar.
Veyna wasted no time. With a surge of energy, twin blades of crackling crimson light extended from each of her gauntlets.
At the same time, the thrusters on her back flared to life, bright streams of energy propelling her forward at twice her previous speed.
Her visor now fully covered her head, locking onto Eccar's form with precision targeting.
Eccar, seeing her rapid approach. His body tensed as brown, earthen-like Dragon scales erupted across his limbs and torso, solidifying into hardened plates of natural armor.
His eyes shifted, pupils narrowing into slits as they glowed a sharp yellow, the predatory gaze of a true Dragonborn. He bared his fangs in a grin as he lunged forward to meet her.
Their clash shook the air.
Veyna's energy blades slashed down, but Eccar intercepted them with his bare hands, his scaled palms resisting the crackling heat.
Sparks flew as her blades met his defenses, emitting high-pitched whines like electricity surging through a damaged conduit.
He pushed back with a powerful swipe, but Veyna dodged with incredible speed despite her size, her thrusters adjusting mid-air to maneuver her.
They exchanged blows at a blistering pace, moving too fast for the untrained eye to follow. Veyna struck with ruthless precision, aiming to carve through Eccar's defenses, while Eccar met her attacks with raw strength, blocking and countering with explosive force.
Flashes of energy and bursts of wind erupted around them as they battled in the clouds, their struggle mirroring another fierce battle taking place in the sky that was already shifting the tides of war.
---
Below them, the battlefield stretched wide, filled with the ongoing clash between Elven warriors, Mages, and archers against the monstrous forces of Ogres and Daemons.
The chaotic battle raged on, but now, the situation had begun to stabilize.
The Elven generals, positioned at key vantage points, observed closely. Their forces were holding the line and with each passing moment, their advantage grew.
It was clear why—Erend, Eccar, king Gulben, and Saeldir had drawn away the attention and command of the enemy's leadership.
With their strongest opponents locked in combat high above, the Elves fought with renewed vigor, sensing that the tide was turning.
The battle was far from over but momentum had shifted in their favor.
---
King Gulben landed on the battlefield with a heavy thud, his sharp eyes scanning the chaotic warzone. The battle between Elves and the monstrous Ogres and Daemons raged around him, but his focus was set on Saeldir and Laston.
His gaze locked onto the duel in the distance. From afar before he had seen Saeldir pushing Laston back and forcing him onto the defensive. But now something had changed.

Laston's body pulsed with eerie, glowing red light, the unnatural energy radiating from his cybernetic enhancements. His movements had become faster and sharper as well. Even with his sword still lodged deep in his shoulder.
King Gulben didn't need to know what the red glow meant. He only knew that it was dangerous.
"I have to kill him quickly!" The thought burned in his mind as he prepared to charge forward.
But the moment he took a step, pain shot through his arms. He staggered as he glanced down at his trembling hands.
His hands he had used to block Laston's cannon blast earlier were in bad shape. The impact had torn into his flesh, and now, only his sheer will and immense Magic energy were keeping them functional.
Sweat dripped down his brow as he flexed his fingers. Even now, he was burning through massive amounts of energy just to keep them from failing entirely.
"Damn it!" He clenched his teeth. "I don't know if I can keep fighting at full strength like this."
But he had no choice.
Before him, Laston lunged at Saeldir with terrifying speed, the red glow around his body intensifying.
King Gulben leaped forward, closing the distance in an instant, and delivered a powerful kick to Laston's side.
Laston, who had been focused on Saeldir, was forced to pull back his hand to block the incoming strike. He gritted his teeth, realizing that he now had to fight both of them again.
With King Gulben's magical sword still embedded in his arm, continuously disrupting the flow of his power, he was unable to take the next step in his attack.
Seeing that King Gulben had arrived, Saeldir immediately focused on casting a spell to restrain Laston's movements.
King Gulben engaged Laston mostly with powerful kicks, while Laston parried with his one hand.
After a few seconds, Saeldir's spell was complete.
"Move, Your Majesty!" Saeldir shouted.
King Gulben swiftly retreated as Saeldir unleashed a wave of lightning toward Laston. The attack struck him directly, crackling violently as it wrapped around his body, ensnaring him in a web of electric energy.
