Chapter 74: Mere Dirty Particle.

A sense of hope flickered on Victor’s face. ’I can at least touch his hair... killing him is a little too much, but touching his hair might be possible.’

He dashed forward, a roar left his mouth. "AHHHH!!!"

Draviel didn’t move, remained standing in one place.

Victor swung his sword, killing intent pouring into the strike.

Draviel merely raised a single finger, blocking the attack with effortless ease.

Victor’s will didn’t shatter. He pressed on, swinging his sword again and again at Draviel.

None of it worked; the outcome remained the same.

Victor took one step back, stood in one place as he started to channel his aura into his sword.

Soon after, the sword of his got completely covered in aura, and the blue waves were devouring the sword whole.

"[Resolute Break]" He muttered.

Victor’s breath turned low, and a blue aura gathered around his sword.

Became tighter than before, as his grip loosened slightly.

Then, he took a step forward, and with a controlled swing.

He released the aura towards Draviel in a condensed crescent slash, and the blue light travelled through the air.

The moment it reached near Draviel, snowflakes started to brush across his body.

It seemed as if the slash had grazed past the body of Draviel.

Victor was barely holding on; one of his eyes had already closed.

His breath turned ragged, felt as if he had used all of his energy in that move.

"I-I won..." He muttered, a small warm smile tucked on his lips.

"Won? Who declared such a thing?" Draviel’s voice echoed, deep and composed.

"Your attack never even reached me."

He lifted a single finger, giving it a slow shake as a few droplets slid off.

"That so-called ice... could not pass even this."

Victor’s soul trembled, his gaze widened as his grip tightened slightly.

’What should I do now? I have used all of my energy in that move...’

"Are you done?" Draviel asked, tilted his emotionless face slightly.

Victor’s gaze fell on the ground, gritting his teeth as his palm buried deep inside his palm, to the extent where blood started to flow out through the skin.

"It’s such a pity, seeing a knight like you lose the spirit to fight," Draviel said, taking a step forward.

Valleria lifted her hand, and dark purple mana started to swirl around her hand.

"Restrain yourself, girl."

"My purpose is to keep this one in check. Should you interfere in my affairs, your death will serve no purpose." Draviel said he didn’t even bat an eye at her.

A sudden surge of pressure fell on her, as blood shot out through her mouth.

She coughed, clutching her neck as she fell on her knee.

"W-What did you do?" She said, looking at Draviel with only one eye open.

"What did I do? Nothing at all. Your dark mana is simply too weak to withstand the purity of mine."

His gaze shifted towards Victor. "I’ll give you a quick death, human knight." He said.

Without wasting a second, Draviel quickly grabbed Victor by his neck. Lifted him in the air, his feet dangling.

Victor didn’t even try to struggle his way out of his grip. He simply remained there as if he had already accepted his fate.

Draviel’s claws buried deep into his neck, nails scraping against the hard bone beneath the flesh.

"It’s a pity your spirit broke," he said coldly. "I wanted to see you struggle a little more, like an insect."

"I know what you’re feeling right now. You want to spit in my face."

"But before you could even try, I had already sliced your jaw into thin pieces."

Victor’s jaw dropped to the ground, finely diced into several pieces, splattered with blood.

A loud, broken half-groan left from what remained of his mouth.

"AHHHH!!"

"Such a pity," Draviel continued calmly. "You’re still suffering like an insect."

He lifted his other hand and swung it down, ripping Victor’s neck open in one brutal motion.

Draviel didn’t stop there. His hand moved at precise angles, slicing again and again, reducing Victor’s body into thin, bloody cuts, like meat being carefully prepared.

Valleria gagged and gripped her mouth with the help of her palm. "Bleghhh!!"

Her waste came out through her mouth in the form of vomit; the horror that she just witnessed made her this way.

Leon was still against Jeffrey, trying his best to hold his ground.

His body had finally started to give up; exhaustion had fallen upon him.

A thought curled up inside Leon’s mind.

’I’ve to end this quickly...’

Jeffrey dashed towards him, and his sword remained in his grasp. "You filthy rat, you think you’ll survive after bad-mouthing me?" He said, clearly enraged.

Leon dodged his swing once again and kept dodging him endlessly.

But his stamina had finally started to wear off. The body was completely drenched in sweat as the battle scars kept bleeding endlessly.

’Draviel,’

"Yes? What do you need now?" Draviel’s voice came right away, deep as always.

’I’m going to gamble, finish the fight, and save others if I die here.’

Draviel didn’t say anything, but the silence answered for him.

’He’s a little too strong for me to handle... multiple times stronger than me...’

Before he could think any more than that, Jeffrey swung his sword once again, his tongue shot out through his mouth as he licked his lower lip. "I’ll not let you run anymore, little rat."

Leon didn’t move; he took his hit head-on.

The blade slashed through his chest, and a huge cut appeared where the blade had just cut.

His blood shot out through there, splashing all over Jeffrey’s face.

Leon fell on his knees, clutched his chest, and groaned. "Ugh!!"

Jeffrey leaned slightly and grabbed Leon by his hair. "You’re finally in the rat trap, little rat." He said, licking Leon’s cheeks.

Leon gritted his teeth, but he didn’t try to struggle his way out.
