Chapter 45: What Are You Doing Here?

Aren walked towards a man, he put his hand on his shoulder and gave a bright smile and said. "This is our Vice-Guild Master. His name is Zane, and he wields dual swords."

He pushed Aren’s face backwards, which made Aren stagger back a bit.

Aren’s voice came a bit shaky. "B-bro, that’s mean."

Zane extended his hand forward towards Leon, his voice came deep. "I’m Zane, 4th worldwide in sword rankings."

Leon grabbed his hand and said. "I’m Ragnar, a dark mage. Nice to meet you."

Both of them gave a nod at the same time.

They all just stood there awkwardly, no one was talking. Only Aren and Leon conversed a bit with each other.

Soon after, Aria’s voice came out loud, her tone had authority in it. "You all, we got our first task." She said.

She walked towards the rest of the guild, her steps were slow, and deliberate.

When she reached near them, she crossed her arms as she said. "The war is about to start."

She took a small pause and then continued. "Our role is to go from a different route to their camp."

Zane stepped forward, facing Aria. "Isn’t that a bit too dangerous?"

The moment he finished his words, Owen came forward and said. "I agree with him, this might be a suicide quest." He said, arms crossed next to his chest.

Aria shook her head slightly, voice of her voice came firm. "I don’t think so," she took a small pause and then continued. "The main forces of Moon Knights would be in the middle of a battle against Sword Knights. If we capture their camp, then it’ll be easier for us to capture the victory." She said.

Leon was listening to them converse. ’Capturing the camp? I think something is suspicious in this aspect.’

’It doesn’t regard me at all, I’ll be working alone anyway. I’ll be calling Draviel mid-battle, and I don’t want these players to know the details about my actual class.’ He sighed once and then said.

"Aria," he took a small pause, looked straight into her eyes and continued. "When are we taking initiative?"

A smirk tugged up on her lips as she said. "Right away."

She turned towards her guild members, crossed her arms, and her voice came out loud. "We’re going to start with our mission right away."

All of them agreed, no one dared to question the decision of the guild leader.

She then began decoding the plan to them.

"There are a total of four routes, we’ll be working in four groups." She said.

Her eyes shifted towards Leon. "Ragnar, are you fine with working with us?" She asked.

Leon shook his head slightly, his voice came firm. "I would like to work alone." He said, looking straight into her eyes.

She let out a small sigh from her mouth, turned her gaze back to her guild members. "We’ll work in five teams."

She then began telling everyone what their group had to do. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

When she was done explaining the plan, her voice came out loud. "We’ll move to our designated routes now."

She took a small pause and then continued. "I don’t want any kind of failures in this mission."

After saying that, she turned towards the front gate and started walking, her steps were steady.

Zane followed behind her, and then the rest of the members.

The route was filled with towering trees, dense bushes spread wildly on both sides. Moss was covering the ground completely, while the long trunks were stretched upward, casting deep, overwhelming shadows all over the path.

Leon was alone, walking forward, steps of his steps were steady.

His eyes moved from one area to another, scanning the entire path completely.

"There aren’t any kind of issues till now." He muttered under his breath.

He kept walking deeper inside the route. The surroundings of his started to grow more silent.

The space in front of him started to alter slightly, cracks appeared in the middle of nowhere, and a bright light of green mana appeared through the cracks.

Leon’s steps stopped, and he raised his hand a bit upwards as he lowered his left leg down, taking his stance.

Dark mana started to appear next to his hand, covering the palm of his hand entirely.

That mana started to take the shape of a sword, and soon after, a purple-coloured sword appeared in his hand.

His eyes remained calm, looking at the cracks.

From the cracks, a small, winged beauty appeared, her elegant features carrying an otherworldly grace.

Leon’s lips parted slightly as he lowered his guard, sword vanishing into the thin air. "What are you doing here, Sylphaine?" He asked, voice firm.

She turned her eyes towards Leon, and a bright, warm smile appeared on her face. She flew towards him as she sat on his shoulder, moving her legs in a steady motion slightly.

"I encountered some kind of difficulties while carrying out the orders given by you, master." She said, looking towards Leon.

Leon hummed slightly as he put his hand under his chin. "Hmm, what sort of issues?" He asked.

"I was not able to enter the kingdom of elves," she said.

Leon’s eyes widened slightly, his voice came out low. "What?" He said.

"How can a spirit like you not enter the elven kingdom?" Leon asked.

"When I tried to enter the border of the kingdom, a strange barrier stopped me from going inside,"

She took a small pause and then continued, a bead of sweat formed on her temple. "I felt a strange presence inside the kingdom... something which carried an enormous amount of magic." She said, her body stiffened as it started to tremble slightly.

Before they could converse any longer, an arrow came flying straight towards Leon.

Leon sensed it at the last moment and moved his head to the right. He narrowly dodged the arrow, it still brushed his hair slightly.
