I Picked the Useless Class… Turns Out It's the Most Broken in the Game-Chapter 40: Finally Reached the Other Branch Headquarters.
One of them had the armour which was purely made out of bright silver colour, and their chest plate had a symbol of a sword.
On the other hand, the other knights were wearing an armour which was golden brown in colour, their chest plate had a symbol of a moon on it.
’Two different types of knights in one city? Something definitely is off with this city.’
He kept walking forward, his steps were slow and deliberate, eyes remained stuck on the path forward.
When he reached the centre of the city, his gaze fell on a huge building which was made out of beautiful grey marble. The front gate was enormous in size, and there were two guards on the front gate.
His gaze shifted towards the top of the building. The flag, which was hovering in the sky, was dark purple in colour and had a moon symbol made on top of it.
’Moon symbol? Isn’t it the symbol of the knights which I spotted before?’
He shook his head slightly as he muttered under his breath. "Let’s go to Dark Mage Tower’s branch before thinking of doing anything else."
After a few minutes, he reached the Dark Mage Tower as he looked at the front gate.
The tower’s front looked shabby, cracks ran along the wall, the marble, which was used to make the walls, had darkened in colour, as if it hadn’t been cared for for years now.
He shook his head slightly, muttered. "This branch of the tower is more shabbier than I thought. The main branch at least has enough supplements and is in good condition."
His hand extended forward as he grabbed the handle of the tower’s door, but the handle broke when he applied a little force on it.
A sweat appeared on his temple, eyes widened slightly as he muttered under his breath. "It broke down?"
Before he could think about doing anything else, a loud voice fell into his ears.
"Max, the handle of the door broke down once again." Someone said, voice was loud.
The door opened from the inside, and a man with blond hair and golden eyes stood over six feet tall.
His features were handsome rather than striking, and his physique was normal at best, neither bulky nor frail, it gave him a calm, balanced presence.
The man looked at Leon, who was standing at the door’s front. Synthia was unconscious as she lay on his back.
"Who are you?" The man said, his face remained calm, but the voice of his had authority inside of it.
Leon bowed slightly as he said. "I’m Ragnar, novice mage. I joined recently."
The man’s gaze shifted towards Synthia, and a small chuckle escaped through his mouth as he covered his lips with the back of his hand.
"Why is she unconscious like that? It looks like she’s in a mana sensitivity state. Did she use all of her mana?" The man asked, scratching his chin slightly.
Leon gave a small nod and said. "Yes, we got into a battle against a strong opponent."
The man took a step back, directed his hand towards the inside and said. "Don’t stand there, come inside."
Leon gave a nod, started walking inside the tower as he scanned the inside of the room.
The walls of the room had cracks inside of them, the marble looked quite dry, the paintings had lost their colour, light inside the room was dim.
There was a couch which was placed next to the wall. Leon made his way towards it and placed Synthia on top of it.
He turned towards the man and said. "I beg your pardon, but can I know what your name is?"
The man gave a warm smile to him, eyes of his eyes closed as his lips parted slightly, and he said. "I’m Amon Solis," he paused, opening his eyes as he looked right into the eyes of Leon.
Voice came once again. "I’m third in command of Dark Mages."
Leon bowed slightly and said. "I show my respect to you, Senior Amon." He said, his voice was polite, and this one carried the feeling of respect into it.
Another man came from the room which was next to the hall, that man had deep purple hair and matching eyes of violet colour.
Tall in structure with a well-built physique, his confidence was reflected in the way he walked.
A robe was clinging to his back, and beneath it, he was wearing a black T-shirt and pants.
He had a calm aura which was radiating through his presence; his lips parted slightly as he looked at Leon. "You might be the new member of Dark Mages, right?" He said, his voice had that calm itch buried inside of it.
Leon gave a nod to him, he leaned slightly forward towards the man and said. "You might be the second in command of our tower."
He extended his hand towards Leon and said, "No need to be too formal, you can get back up."
Leon got back up as he straightened his back, his face carried no expression on it.
’Inventory.’
He opened his inventory. A blue panel appeared in front of his eyes, shimmering slightly.
He tapped his finger on the system panel. Right after that, a letter materialized in his right hand.
He directed his hand towards the man and said. "Tower master told me to hand you this letter."
The man took the letter from Leon’s hand and said. "I appreciate your hard work, you may rest now."
He looked towards Amon, his voice came low but calm, his tone carried the authority into it. "Take both our mages to the dorm room, Amon."
Amon was standing next to the door frame, both his hands were behind his head, and he was whistling slowly.
His gaze shifted towards the man, and he said. "As you say, Max."
