I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse-Chapter 1829: Problem Facing Whoever Wants to Build Similar Resorts
"It’s the top resort," she corrected him, "there is no other place that can match this in the universe, everyone knows this!"
"..." Hye didn’t argue with her. Just from the planets he saw on the screen, he could imagine how much work was placed on this solar system!
Each planet had layers of buildings that appeared tall even from space! There were even floating circular buildings in between the planets, as if the ones owning this place made sure that not a single place would be left without being used perfectly for business!
He admired such a mindset! He could tell how much effort was put in here, how unbelievably vast wealth was spent overturning this solar system into such a heaven!
And from the sheer number of ships passing like swarms between the planets and moons, he couldn’t imagine how much income this place brought over daily to its owners!
"I should have brought her," as he realised all this, he regretted not listening to the lady nymph and brought her over. She would be the best of his friends to study such a business model, for a chance that might arise in the future!
Olana acted as a local guide for him, pointing at many planets and explaining their specialities. Hye saw a great world opening in front of his eyes, one in which business would drive an endless stream of wealth into his pockets, one in which he could establish ties with the strongest figures in the universe without the need to move a single army or fight any battles!
Yet he was sure the financial wars were more brutal than any wars he had experienced so far!
"You seem to know a lot about how this place is run," After flying following the fancy ships inside that special resort, Hye noticed how Olana knew lots of stuff about this place. She kept talking non-stop for the past minutes, and Hye felt like she just said the tip of the iceberg of what she really knew about this place.
"My dear, I don’t look like it, but my family used to live here for many millennia," she slowly fiddled with her long hair, giving Hye a seductive look on purpose, "I learn more than the owners of this resort know!"
"Were you the ones who built it or what?!" Hye was surprised by the sheer amount of confidence she showed. And hearing his words made her softly chuckle.
"No, dear, we were the ones who ran this place from the first day it opened till now!" She moved her eyes around with a melancholic look on her face.
"There must be a long history behind you," Hye sized her up and down, not focusing on her beauty and more over what she hid, "why do I have the feeling that you can build up a place like this from the ground?" and he decided to fish for what she was truly capable of!
"My dear, you are so funny," she laughed, while placing a palm over her slightly opened lips, "no one can make something like this anymore! The universe... It’s impossible to try and replicate this place in such times!"
"The cost will be problematic indeed," Hye muttered, while stating the hardest hurdle he thought of. But unlike what he expected, she slowly shook her head.
"It’s not the type of problem to stop anyone from trying, right?" She seemed to remember some sort of distant memory, before tiredly sighing, "If anyone thought of making such a resort, they must be prepared for long wars, one that won’t only stop at the spaceships and guns, but exceed it for far beyond..."
Hye didn’t comment on her words, as he faintly grasped what she meant. And she mistook his silence by not getting what she wanted to convey, so she added, "Look, I know that anyone like you coming here will jump to the same idea, why not make a resort like this and amass the endless wealth from this business? Believe me, I saw lots of people having the same thoughts, even many actually tried to do it. But you know, dear, no one ever succeeded, do you know why?"
"The owners of this resort waged wars over them?" Hye expressed what he had in mind, "They must have pushed the big races to hunt them down!"
"Not even close," she sighed, turning to look around before adding, "First, the location for such a type of business is a problem! You know this resort is deeply located in the universe, close to the centre! No one can find such a perfect spot anymore!"
"Big races can," Hye argued in an attempt to learn more from her.
"The big race can’t," she firmly said, "they might have way better spots than here, but they knew if one race tried, other races would interfere on their own violation to stop them! No big race will stand idle and watch their rival build such a golden goose!"
"Good point," Hye nodded, agreeing with what she said.
"On top of that, if a race tried to use the help of a smaller one under their umbrella, the same situation would happen again. The only way to do it is for an individual force to build the resort. And then the owners here will use the help of big races to wipe this force out of existence!"
"True," Hye paused, "but it can’t be a foolproof plan, there must be many who can stand against big races, especially if they had members from them!"
"That happened," Olana played with her hair, before adding, "and then the most terrifying weapon the owners here held would come on stage... They have deep ties with almost all the big merchants and business-related impacts! No one will dare to stand on the side of a rival once the owners mark them as an enemy!"
"They kill the project by stopping the supply chain, preventing any materials and workers to help build the resort?" Hye finally said what she was trying to say, and she simply nodded.
