Chapter 1821: Taking the Universe by a Storm!

Hye was focusing on the radar, which showed how the Golden Cross changed their tactics.

At the distance, lots of ships that were fighting small battles with the Hescos or acting as rear reserves started to move. Watching this from afar told anyone what they planned to do. It was a courageous move, in which they met the incoming threatening Hye’s forces with a larger number of ships, trying to overcome Hye with numerical advantage!

At least they knew that Hye’s tactic would excel better under such circumstances! "Make sure our warriors are prepared for a long war of attrition," Hye said to Lucas the moment he spotted what the enemy was trying to do, "they will be under heavy fire for a long time, so they should arrange themselves to take turns in activating the defensive shields..."

Hye knew the most important factor that would decide the fate of this war lay not in his Souler nor Reaper, but in the warriors operating the defensive shields in the ships.

If they failed to match the expected heavy fire power of the enemy, then Hye would lose too much in return for little gains. So, he made sure to let Lucas warn them, and he even took his time to add more warriors than needed in his ships.

Hye knew he could easily gain more ships from this universe, but it was a different story regarding the outer universe ships. He had to either wait for a second chase like how he met Major, or for a second outbreak to happen, which would take four more years to happen. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

There was still the option he didn’t even consider, to start an expedition at the outer battlefield! He wasn’t sure he had enough force to use in such a long expedition. And he wouldn’t jeopardize what he painstakingly acquired and built in the universe at this moment.

"It seems I’ll need to do something extra if I want to win this in the least possible losses," Hye watched the early clashes between his fleets and the Golden Cross. Even if he joined the war, they tried their best to avoid any direct clash with his ships. It was almost impossible, but it was clear by doing that they evaded losing too much as he expected.

"They are buying time for their full force to arrive," he could read through what the Golden Cross leaders were thinking about, "so why not I’ll make it easier for them?" he grinned evilly, before suddenly walking out of his ship.

"I’ll leave leading this part of war over to you," Hye didn’t look behind while leaving his orders to Lucas, "make sure to send people to gather our loot from time to time."

"Don’t you need me by your side?" Lucas asked in doubt, and Hye simply raised a fist in the air, didn’t say anything in return.

Hye went outside, took out his small ship, before going through lots of intense battles until he passed the heart of this war.

"It’s good here," he stopped after flying for four hours, checking the area around before picking a small gathering of meteorites, "that shall do."

He went out of his ship, then started to take more ships. His reserve of the outer universe ships wasn’t that high, but he had enough to make ten more fleets if he wanted to. Yet he only took three more, filled them with his warriors, including Soulers and Reapers.

"Listen up, your task is to go out there, fight any Golden Cross fleets you find," he spread out his orders, "you will work in groups, work solo, I don’t care. Just find any large group of those bastards and show them what it means to fight a war with me."

Hye knew he might lose a lot of these ships if the shields went down. So, he provided more than enough of his warriors to make sure the shields would run all the time.

At the same time, he decided to stick around and lead this part of the war himself. If the enemy depended overusing the large number of ships coming here, then the best play was to checkmate them and bring forth another deadly force to stop their reinforcements!

Just when his new fleets appeared and joined the war, everyone was startled. They mistakenly thought that the three fleets were the total power Hye owned. So, watching the new three fleets made everyone watching this war suck in a cold air of breath!

One question was running wild in big forces’ heads: How deep is Hye’s current strength running?

Everyone from those forces’ higher ups were familiar with Hye. they knew the Toranks kept him under check for twenty years, before he started to adventure the universe.

They heard a few rumours about his appearance in different parts of the universe, but none ever imagined he would grow his strength to such an extent!

Having ships from this universe would be quite surprising, considering how the Toranks control his growth and strength. Yet what he showed in this war far exceeded such logic!

He was using ships from the outside universe, a thing that no one could easily acquire without sending an expedition to the outer battlefield. Soon a question forced itself upon all; how and when did Hye go there? And how didn’t we get wind of such a thing?

Any force would easily tell that going to an outer battlefield expedition would take a long time. Hye’s adventure in the universe didn’t last longer than a few years by all the rumors mentioning him. That wasn’t enough time to grow such strength, unless he made a trip there during the twenty years that followed the end of the apocalypse.

None believed in such a scenario, not when the Toranks confirmed they kept a close eye on him during that time and never helped him to take this big step!

The more these races watched, the more questions and shocking realisations that hit them.
