I like them big, do you?-Chapter 91: Shut up
Chapter 91: Shut up
[Estras Law Lv.1]
[Estras Law Lv.1]
There were two heroes.
One that stood in slums, and another who had been floating behind him. It was a ghost, a man in his late thirties...
Reylin turned around and faced the man, "Don't tell me I look like you?"
"You don't," The ghost replied.
"I wonder if that would've made me appreciate my genes more," Reylin chuckled.
He ended up as Estras Law, and that was the hero his little friend had talked about. 𝐟r𝒆ℯ𝘄𝑒𝒃𝚗𝒐𝘃e𝗹.c𝘰𝐦
It was the little ghost's father and his story!
Reylin asked for his objective here, "I am not fond of an idea of leveling up from the beginning, but I am sure the experience gained is different here. If I am to thread on your path, tell me what it is. If not, then what's the objective?"
His system told him about the status change and what abilities Estras possessed. Those were nicely lined out for Reylin, but the quest was nowhere to be seen. Of course, the ghost filled Reylin's eyes, so he asked him.
Estras nodded, "In this dungeon, you help others pass away. It begins with saving their relative, then you stomp on the path of someone more significant... You are on my path, and I want you to kill the ghosts of my enemies!"
"Your enemies?" Reylin sneered, "So that they won't pass away?"
"Send them to hell," Estras snarled, "Those corrupted royalties... The betrayers who swore to protect the kingdom and its citizens... And the Brightdoom's scum who wait for their liberation! You are the second living being to come here! Let me see them die again!"
Reylin stood unfazed before Estras' outburst.
Those emotions surged within him, and his face contorted to mimic a demonish one! Of course, Reylin inferred what he could from this little conversation and his new setting, then asked, "Who's the first?" ƒ𝓇e𝙚𝔀𝐞𝚋𝓃𝐨𝘷e𝙡.𝒄𝗼m
He suspected Emilia, but that wasn't the case.
Estras said, "A man in black robes. I just know he's a man due to his posture."
He described that man as someone shrouded in black energy. He covered himself wholly, and no one even bothered him! His ghost also appeared just for a second, then disappeared promptly after.
Although Reylin wasn't sure, his guts told him that this man reeked off with dark matter energy.
This land, and dungeon, came before that energy, so it was fair for those people to try to solve the dungeon!
Besides, from the little ghost, Reylin inferred that a lot of time must have passed.
Speaking with Estras confirmed it, and those ghosts weren't aware of their current predicament.
Anyway, Reylin looked around, "There should be my partner somewhere... If not, then I will also search for her,"
"There's no time limit. You can hunt to your heart's content... However, you must be careful. Ghosts can use the abilities from their prime!" Estras warned.
So far, Reylin saw no other ghost.
That was because he had landed in the slums!
It was an alley where darkness prevailed, and the disgusting smell made a name for itself. Here, Reylin saw dark bricks and nothing else, but he expected some worse things outside, such as stronger zombies and skeletons.
Ghosts possessed a clear mind from what Reylin knew, and they had made their own society.
Reylin snickered, "That's really relieving... I will find a ghost from the fire race. Any ideas?"
"Fire race? You will find them here," Estras said.
He explained, "The Arena is the most popular. Ghosts can implant a little of their abilities to the undead and make them fight with each other. If undead wins, the ghost gets rewarded."
"How so?" Reylin asked.
"I told you that ghosts can use abilities from their prime. However, it's only if they win back their abilities. Some people turn into stronger ghosts, some not. That's how they get back their abilities," Estras yet again explained nicely.
"Have you fought in that arena?" Reylin asked with his eyes squinted a little.
Estras nodded, "Yes. The Arena is this whole slum, so I was forced to participate."
"Hmm... I see," Reylin smiled brightly, not showing his suspicion.
His eyes shifted to his abilities, "So why do all heroes take swords as weapons? Hah, not all, but the majority."
To this question, Estras awkwardly laughed.
His eyes then expanded as Reylin tried to use one of his own abilities. That was impossible with his current status, so Estras straightforward said so, "A skeleton's bone will make up for a sword. The Arena happened recently, so you can find a few wounded ones... If you look around carefully, you might find a good quality bone."
Alas, Reylin didn't stop.
He kept his eyes on his palm and waited for flames to come out.
That made Estras bitterly laugh, and he said, "I know how this place works. You can't do whatever you want to do. All you have to do is pick up my swordsmanship-"
"Shut up," Reylin glared from the side, then added, "My objective is different from yours. If you keep blabbering like that, I will shift priorities and spit on you."
Estras's face tensed, then it became emotionless as he stared at Reylin.
And as if to mock him further, the fire came out from Reylin's palm! The flames danced faster as Reylin's lips widened, "I will have my work done. Speak if it's necessary or if you have any significant information."
Reylin didn't come here for a chit-chat!
He made it clear enough, then located the first skeleton.
"Swordsmanship? Maya likes it, so it's worth learning," Reylin smiled.
"Didn't you say 'speak if it's necessary'?" Estras glared from behind.
"It applies to you, not me," Reylin looked behind, "You've touched the wrong scale, the dense hero. Isn't that the plot from your story, however? Otherwise, why would you be so fucking dense?"
He joked about how the majority of heroes turn dense, which made Estras quite uncomfortable.
The dense hero no longer said anything, and he thought about the ghosts instead!
Reylin proved to be outstanding already with those flames coming out, and Estras looked forward to the ghosts' torment.
