I like them big, do you?-Chapter 54: Its a game
Chapter 54: It's a game
Common Supreme Guild had outplayed everyone, and they were the only guild to see every participant in the guild competition.
This guild, but mostly their guild leader, had opened eyes for every noble from the three neighboring kingdoms!
A fear sprouted in their hearts, and Lioness' Kingdom had already prepared some special offers for her.
For this woman, a different approach was needed!
On the battlefield, the ant queen faced Brand and his guild. With their fixed income, they protected their boss and sacrificed their lives for him.
Alas, Brand died, and he woke up in the real world with shame.
Taste The Onion became the next victims, and they were also pressed by Common Supreme Guild.
The strongest people faced The Hero Party Guild, however.
"She has charisma, but that's nothing compared to sis," Vis' brother said before focusing on different parts of the battlefield.
He strutted silently in the shadows and cheered Vis against the battle with the hero.
What was the hero doing, actually?
Her skills were crucial on the battlefield, and it gave an edge, but that was against opponents of the same or worse level.
Other than her sword and its ability to help others, Maya didn't show anything else. She fought with as many players as she could, but that was her playstyle in the end.
She leveraged others, and that was already too much for her.
Maya kept moving around, unlike Lioness, who stood at the backline with her eyes on the whole battlefield. Even if she did, she also tried to help and command others.
However, she didn't have a presence.
That was because she hadn't introduced a strong personality to her guild.
She made her guild members think that either the hero's skills or she would solve everything.
Vis nodded, "I agree with you."
He said it through voice chat and grasped his spear tighter. His class was unique. His spear was the primary user of that class.
It turned into a deadly beast as Vis focused heavily...
In an instant, he let out his spear, and it turned into a snake.
That skill pierced through Maya's shoulder as quickly as it could.
Reason?
The taunt.
"This is currently the most powerful skill," Vis said as he approached Ferocious Bear, "Our guild's tanks have developed their shields in the weapon tree skill and their taunt top over everyone in the Faynom World."
Maya understood, "There's no tank around... And I still got taunted..." She whispered while her body couldn't move.
Her eyes shifted to the side where the Crowd Control's Skills and their timer floated.
It would be just a few seconds before her freedom returned... or so Maya thought.
[You have been taunted.]
"That's... bullying..." Maya's face contorted as she whispered in such a dejected voice that Vis trembled.
He let out a sigh and said, "We believed the hero would possess some ability against the crowd control. Well, after this battle, many players will give more attention to it. So, Ferocious Bear. I hope you won't hate me."
Vis let out another thrust, and he aimed at the vital point.
That turned into a critical strike and the bleeding effect spread across Maya's body!
As things turned deadly, the hero did her best to move!
Alas, to no avail, as the taunts had never missed. f𝗿𝗲e𝒘e𝚋n૦𝘃𝙚𝑙.com
At some point, however, Maya's friend stepped before her.
That was a tank, and he did his best to protect her.
His shield took the outstanding taunt all for himself, and he howled, "Don't look down on me! Goddamnit!"
"Tate Bro!" Maya's face turned blissful, and she called out her close friend!
He didn't turn around to face her but replied loudly, "Fight him and leave the taunts to me! We can do it!"
"Yes!" Maya replied with the same vigor and rushed at Vis.
He smiled widely as if some kind of burden left his body, and he reciprocated Maya's challenging eyes with a grin.
Their clash shook the earth faintly, and the battle seemed too advanced, primarily due to their classes.
Maya could rely on her slashes as well, and the more slashes she left on her enemies, the further her damage increased.
The worst was when she applied the bleeding, as it would escalate to the dangerous bloodlines with another slash.
Currently, Vis just got scratched a few times, and he was inflicted with normal bleeding.
Maya had it worse due to the spear's length advantage.
Vis' steps didn't allow her to come too close, and she was forced to sacrifice way more HP than usual.
Vis used his advantage well, and he won a lot of respect from the hero!
'I am not ruthless enough...' Maya whispered inwardly while hacking at Vis.
She remembered a certain ruthless man, then her eyes went behind Vis to the person she hadn't known beforehand.
Vis gave some advice beforehand, but Maya didn't know that Lioness was this impressive. She gathered many people and ordered them as if they were in an army!
That woman was probably ruthless as well.
'No... She has to be ruthless. What about me? What am I doing?' Maya hadn't used her most powerful skill yet because it used the guild member's mana.
She didn't want to cause deaths, and other reasons stopped her.
In a nutshell, the hero wanted to be... the hero.
[I know I can't be the perfect hero! I might as well play with the fire.]
The fire pillar rose far away on another part of the battlefield...
[You have extracted 10 000 mana.]
[Your sword can not wield such mana.]
"W-What?" Vis uttered as he experienced the sword's breaking.
He saw Maya's sword flashing with blinding light. It was like the crowd control skill itself, then it just shattered.
Her weapon broke, turned into pieces, then the gathered energy began dissipating before the confused spearman.
However, Maya bit her lips, summoned another sword out of her inventory, and pushed it toward that disappearing mass of mana.
Her sword lit up in a similar golden light, "It doesn't matter if I can't wield it! I just have to slam it against you!"
Maya did as she declared, and the high amount of mana followed her will after she thrust her spear with all her resolution!
It landed on Vis' spear, and its tip immediately shattered.
Vis' eyes expanded, "Twice..." He looked at his disappearing spear, "I have been defeated twice now! Fuck! I've lost twice against weirdos who can wield absurd amounts of mana! Why is my class just about speed and flexibility?!"
"Don't complain, man... You are better than the majority anyway..." Tate Bro uttered from the side with his eyes narrowed.
That speed and flexibility possessed so many evolution roads. On a higher level, it would undoubtedly be the lethal weapon!
Many people wanted unique classes, and there was a man who complained about one!
Well, he just lost, so Tate Bro didn't comment further.
-
"Ah, poor Vis. He lost against Reylin, and it's the hero's turn now," Lioness' brother, the assassin, said as he appeared next to her.
His mission was done.
Brand died, and the battlefield seemed close to the end already.
Even if the hero won, her guild didn't.
And there was the assassin and the commander from the Lion Family!
"It will motivate him to work more. This is the only game I approve of people playing for more than twelve hours, haha," Lioness chuckled, then corrected herself, "Maybe ten. We can't forget to move around in real life."
"That's right," Her brother chuckled.
"It's quite disappointing that I have been limited to this move just once, however... Don't tell it to Vis, but it's not that bad he died," Lioness laughed, then opened her guild system. She raised her sword, then commanded mages!
"3...2...1..." At one, her sword went down, and the combined mages sent their common skills.
It was a fireball, waterball, and similar skills that most mages learned at the beginner leaves.
People developed their skills differently through the weapon skill tree, and they also received better skills through interaction with NPCs.
If an ordinary skill evolved, it would become a different skill too.
Not many mages developed the common skill to the extreme.
Thus, that deluge of magic left The Hero Party Guild speechless, and despair transpired on their faces...
"Mmm... That's the best feeling. Everything at your command," Lioness faintly moaned, enough so that only she could hear it.
However, there was a person who heard her.
It was not her brother, however.
Lioness shifted her eyes to the side since it was uncommon for her siblings to not answer or cajole her.
And as she did, "Yo."
She saw Reylin and his hand piercing through her brother's chest from behind.
In his hand, the heart thumped, then Reylin squeezed the organ, and flames devoured it.
"Rey...lin..." The assassin turned his eyes behind, his voice weak and barely audible.
The fire followed the pyromaniac's arm, and the assassin's body lit up in flames, extinguishing one of the threats from the battleground.
Reylin shook his arm and said, "I disagree with your words. The flames are the best. They can be silent or loud. Either form, you can still find destruction or peace. In the howls, you can find stillness. In its serenity, you can find the destruction. And vice versa, of course.
But more than anything, humanity has failed to conquer the flames.
They believe they did, but that is not the case.
Unconquerable.
Mysterious.
I wield those flames just fine, and they fulfill my desire as I tread.
How can the mere mobs that you command be comparable to what I wield and love?"
"It's a matter of perspective. I agree with your words, though. Flames are indeed intriguing, and I don't think I can win an argument about them with you.
Your presence and deeds already confirm it. Still, I am not interested in flames. Influence and authority are what excites me the most.
Problem?" Lioness replied, smiling widely despite standing relatively close to the pyromaniac.
"I am not on a mission to make the world and people worship the flames. But at some point, I will make you think, 'The Flames are indeed the answer'. Why you might ask? Of course, I can already foresee us meeting a few times more." Reylin replied with a sneer.
"Is that why you didn't kill me? I was about to comment on your mistake," Lioness kept smiling, and it didn't seem like she was in a lost position.
Reylin widened his eyes and titled his head, "Hey. That's the game, you know? If I took down the strongest in one plain move, it would be too dull. All I can do is have some fun with you and disturb that chain of commands you possess.
That's why, fight me, sexy. If you don't, I will blast that pretty face of yours."
"Let's bet then." Lioness said, "If you win, you will win me. If I lose-"
"No."
"Hmm?"
"You think that every man is all over you? That's one of your ploys, isn't it? Should I win that little bet, you would have spent some time with me, but you would be like one of those annoying bitches, wouldn't you?
Let's see... No-touch bitches? You wouldn't let me touch you, nor would you listen to any extraordinary request.
No. You wouldn't even need to spend time with me. You would be like a long-distance girlfriend or someone that just uses a phone or system to talk with, am I right?
Otherwise, what else do you mean by winning you?
Hah. I called you sexy because that's the fact."
"How straightforward. That's one of the traits I like in men," Lioness chuckled without agreeing or disagreeing.
Reylin continued, "I am not a petty person to not use skills or situations at my disposal. Otherwise, I would have killed your brother in a more flashy way. A way that would make your stream quite spectacular.
You want my skills, so you want a bet.
Fine. If I win, I want to get your leadership and its skills." Reylin smiled widely.
And for the first time ever since coming here, Lioness didn't answer immediately. Her smile also faded, and she pondered for a while.
To make things easier, Reylin prepared a contract, and after reading it, Lioness agreed.
"You surely make this game more interesting, Reylin," Lioness said after signing the contract, "Let's fight then." And she bared her sword, starting the battle!
