I Just Want to Cultivate Quietly and Farm-Chapter 305 - 196: Taming the Flood Dragon (Part 3)
"In a bid to resolve this calamity, two ancestor warriors joined forces to battle it, both perishing there. Fortunately, one ancestor activated an artifact array at the cost of their life, releasing the array to seal the Seventh Generation Dragon Ancestor!"
After a brief pause, the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon continued, "There’s another version: the Seventh Generation Dragon Ancestor and the mysterious array were already there, put in place by some enigmatic warrior, later entrusted to our clan for safekeeping." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
"Several millennia have passed! Many truths and ancient book legacies are lost. With the ancestral edict and the Seventh Generation Dragon Ancestor guarding it, we dare not venture deep within," the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon finally explained.
After listening to the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon’s account, Li Mu nodded silently, sighing endlessly. No wonder the Demon Dragon harbors such deep resentment, having its skin flayed and bones extracted, trapped for millennia at the ocean’s bottom—it’s no wonder the resentment runs deep.
The Seventh Tier Resentful Dragon died with grievances against humans; the resentment infuses the soul, turning it into a resentful spirit—it’s the same theory.
As for the Seventh Generation Resentful Dragon and what it guards, Li Mu was not particularly interested.
With one’s capability, one should accomplish just as much. By drawing energy from spirit plants, one’s cultivation can be enhanced. With this ’Golden Finger’ of capability, Li Mu only needed to find a place to keep a low profile, farm diligently, and attain cultivation enhancement, avoiding the risks of exploring ancient relics like the underwater Water Mansion.
"Hmm! Go help me guard a spiritual pool. Inside, I’ve planted a batch of Tier Four - Nine-leaf Cyan Lotus. Your task is to watch over them and not let low tier spirit beasts cause any harm to these spirit plants," Li Mu said, turning away from concerns about the Seventh Tier Resentful Dragon, and signalling to the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon.
"Guarding a spiritual pool? Me! I’m a Tier Six Spirit Beast! You, you, I, I...!" The Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon could not believe what Li Mu had just requested, itching to argue.
In imagining its future life, the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon envisioned either dealing with formidable foes or acting as a shield against dangers.
Never would it have guessed its assigned task was to guard a spiritual pool; it felt vastly underestimated—practically disregarded as a Demon King! The Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon was tugged by frustration.
"That’s right! Just guard it there!" Li Mu confirmed with a nod.
"This isn’t right! Let me battle instead; guarding the spiritual pool, let them do it!"
Being naturally combative, asking the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon to guard the spiritual pool was akin to imprisonment - an unbearably dull existence!
Seeing this, the Jade-Eyed Long-armed Ape, eyeing a chance to show loyalty, leapt out and pointed at the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon’s nose: "Dare you defy the master’s arrangement? You’re bold!"
"Stupid monkey, when’s it your turn to speak here?" The Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon glared fiercely, mouth agape, ready to bite.
"Come on, who’s scared of you!"
The Jade-Eyed Long-armed Ape, having already anticipated this, dodged behind Li Mu with lightning speed, taunting loudly.
"Both of you stop! Having you guard the spiritual pool is because the spirit plants inside are vital to me, there can be no negligence. If battle is needed in the future, I will naturally call on you," Li Mu’s tone brooked no argument, leaving the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon no room to haggle.
Perceiving Li Mu’s irritability, the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon dared not argue further, bowing its head in compliance.
Seeing the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon comply, Li Mu personally led it to the spiritual pool.
Above the spiritual pool, at Li Mu’s signal, the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon dove headfirst into it.
With just a trace of its aura, the Tier Six Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon’s presence terrified all the spirit fish within, inducing frantic, panic-stricken fleeing, and the spirit beasts at the shore fled in alarm.
Observing the effect, Li Mu was very satisfied, instructing the spirit beasts to get along peacefully and not fight before hastily leaving the Painting Realm Treasure Mansion.
