I have a wildlife zoo-Chapter 383: Giant Panda Exhibit Opens
Before hanging up, Mother Fang remembered something and asked, "Oh, isn’t your zoo planning to make commemorative clothing? How is that going?"
Fang Ye said, "Yeah, the quality of the clothing is excellent! I like wearing our commemorative hoodies when I go out; they’re comfortable and good-looking. The visitors quite like them too, and the sales are pretty good. Recently, we’ve added a few more styles."
The first batch, featuring the tiger hoodie and red panda hoodie, sold out quickly, so Fang Ye contacted Zhao Chan to come up with several new designs.
There were yellow lion hoodies, red fox hoodies, and also giant panda hoodies.
There were two styles of the giant panda hoodies: one with a black base color and another with a white base color!
The orders had been placed before the arrival of the giant pandas, ready to be displayed as soon as the exhibit opened.
Although the tickets were selling at a low price, money that could be made still had to be made.
...
Two days later, the health check results for the two giant pandas were out, and both were healthy and ready to enter the activity area.
However, Cloud was still a bit uneasy about the new environment and could not be immediately displayed.
Therefore, Fang Ye made it a point to spend an hour each day, accompanying Cloud to get familiar with the indoor and outdoor exhibit areas, feeding with the animal keepers, in order to lessen its fear and anxiety towards unfamiliar keepers.
The potatoes for Mother Fang had also arrived home.
Mother Fang sent Fang Ye two pictures: one of a sack of light golden potatoes opened up, and another of a plate of stir-fried potatoes with meat.
She gave a thumbs-up, "They really are naturally grown; the dish tastes good!"
Fang Ye replied, "As long as it’s tasty, that’s great!"
A week quietly passed by, and Mizzle started showing some abnormalities.
Her belly had grown larger, her appetite had significantly increased, and her activity levels had decreased.
Based on the keepers’ observations, they could see her carrying grass and digging soil, as if trying to create a den.

Clearly, she was pregnant!
After disinfecting the birthing room and laying down fresh hay, they moved her there, away from the disturbance of visitors and other wolves.
The gestation period for wolves typically lasts 60 days; in two months, the pups can be born.
These abnormalities show up around 40-50 days into pregnancy.
Meaning that in another week or two, the wolf pups would be born, and it wouldn’t be long before the lion cubs were born as well.
The pregnant belly of the wild boar Maymay had also grown; the gestation period for pigs is a little longer, around four months, and she was expected to give birth at the end of February or early March.
The zoo was about to welcome many new lives, and the staff became busier.
The animal keepers were busy monitoring the animals, adjusting their feed formulas, and preparing for the arrival of the new lives, while the education department was getting ready for the upcoming Spring Festival. With the Spring Festival in February approaching, following the Year of the Ox, it would be the Year of the Tiger. Linhai Zoo planned to hold an educational event focused on tigers.

With Fang Ye’s reassurance, Cloud gradually adapted to life at Linhai Zoo and was ready to be exhibited.
Considering the drawing power of the pandas and fearing that too many visitors might affect the viewing experience or lead to safety incidents like stampedes due to overcrowding, Linhai Zoo announced the news on their official WeChat account and started advance ticket reservations.
"I’ve been looking forward to this, the pandas are finally going on display!"
"Hahaha, that’s awesome!"
"I’m going to take a day off so the whole family can come to see the pandas!"
Upon hearing the news that the pandas would be on display, the visitors were thrilled, and tickets for the three days before the exhibit sold out quickly.
...
Sitting in the passenger seat, Mother Tang looked at the stream of cars passing by and saw the little children through the open car windows, speculating, "They must be going to the zoo, right?"
Driving the car, Father Tang remarked, "Isn’t that the case? This road is never this busy usually!"
"We owe our daughter a big thanks for reminding us to book the tickets in advance!"
"Hehe, am I not very clever?"
Tang Xiaoxin, wearing a pale blue dress today, sat in the back seat chattering away with irrepressible joy.
Getting to see pandas during the vacation was just too awesome!
When they arrived at the zoo, it was just after 7 o’clock, and although the gates hadn’t opened, there were already many visitors of different ages gathered at the main entrance.
Looking out of the car window, Xiaoxin saw the bustling scene and couldn’t help exclaiming, "Wow, so many people!"
Nearly half of the parking lot spaces were already taken!
Father Tang felt somewhat relieved, "Thank goodness we arrived early, or else there’d be nowhere to park later."
The weather was a bit chilly, with cold autumn wind carrying a bleak chill, but everyone’s enthusiasm burned as hot as a furnace.
Volunteers in green vests continuously wiped the sweat from their foreheads and, holding megaphones, shouted to maintain order at the entrance, "Don’t push, everyone! Don’t push! Form a line, and let’s enter in an orderly manner. This way is much faster than all squeezing in, and it’s safer too!"
"The gates are open, the gates are open!"
"Let’s see the pandas!"
The zoo’s entrance now had electronic turnstiles.
Mother and Father Tang took out their phones, scanned the QR code from their tickets at the turnstile, and went through.
Xiaoxin had a season pass and took the manual lane. The ticket checker swiftly scanned her photo and waved her through with a gesture.
The family regrouped inside the zoo, and Xiaoxin volunteered enthusiastically, "I’ll lead the way!"
She knew the giant panda exhibit was right next to the red panda exhibit.
Father Tang chuckled, "Do we even need you to lead the way? Look, everybody’s heading that way."
Xiaoxin scratched her head, chuckling embarrassingly, "That’s true!"
Today, all the visitors were here to see the giant pandas!
As they walked among the emerald bamboo, clear streams meandered by, with the soothing sound of flowing water in the ears.
A gust of wind blew through the bamboo, rustling the leaves as a few gently fell into the stream and floated away with the current.
Xiaoxin hadn’t been to the zoo for a long time due to final exams, and she inhaled the fresh scent of the bamboo with relish, "Ah, I’m back again!"
Father Tang also felt some relief from his consecutive days of overtime work as he nodded, "This environment at the zoo really is healing."
After passing through the beautiful bamboo forest, they quickly arrived at the giant panda exhibit.
The walls were fashioned to look like bamboo stalks, inlaid with the black and white, adorable face of a giant panda.
Entering the exhibit, they were met with a throng of people tightly clustered against the glass walls, excited and clamorous.
"Giant Pandas!"
"Wow, look, look, so cute! So much fun!"
Listening to them, Xiaoxin felt an itch in her heart; she jumped but was blocked from seeing.
She quickly pulled her family’s hands, moving forward a bit.
Reaching a less crowded section of glass, they could finally clearly see inside.
They saw a giant panda, waddling its bottom, walking in a figure-eight pattern on the grass.
The big panda at this side of the play area was Zhuangzhuang, who had just eaten a lot of bamboo and was standing up, ready to be active.
He made his way toward a hanging tire!
