I Have A Sword-Chapter 1689: Killing Spree
The people of the Immortal Treasure Pavilion naturally recognized the little girl and the white fluff ball... and of course, they found the two a massive headache.
These two were, quite literally, bandits.
Erya had brought Little White with a clear purpose. They were going to head straight to the Immortal Treasures Bank. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Their reason for visiting today was simple. A loan.
Someone quickly reported their arrival to Li Shang. The moment he heard those two had shown up again, Li Shang's face turned bitter.
These two didn't think like normal people. Dealing with them was extremely difficult.
Li Shang thought for a moment, and then he looked at the elder before him. "Stay here and don't leave. I'll be back shortly."
The elder nodded respectfully. "Understood."
Li Shang hurried out and intercepted Erya and Little White just as they were about to enter the Immortal Treasures Bank.
Seeing Li Shang, Erya's eyes lit up. She smiled and said, "Old Li, were you waiting here just for us?"
Li Shang forced a smile. "Miss Erya, you're here."
Erya nodded. "We're here for a loan. Not much this time, just three million Star Core Crystals... That won't be too difficult, right?"
Li Shang maintained his smile. "Not difficult at all, not at all."
Erya nodded in satisfaction. "Don't worry, we'll pay it back. We have credibility."
Little White quickly nodded in agreement. They never claimed they wouldn't repay. Of course, they also never said when they'd repay...
Li Shang knew their way of operating. His heart ached, but he still smiled. "Miss Erya, the young master is currently having a meal. Would you like to go see him?"
Erya blurted out, "The brat is here?"
Li Shang didn't dare respond to that.
Erya looked excited. "Where is he?"
Little White also smiled, waving her little paw enthusiastically.
Li Shang respectfully said, "He's currently dining on the ninth floor. If you'd like..."
Erya immediately said, "Let's go. Take us to him."
Li Shang's smile instantly brightened. He bowed slightly. "Please."
Erya and Little White began heading toward the ninth floor.
But after only a few steps, a surprised voice came from nearby. "Spirit Progenitor—it's the Spirit Progenitor!"
Little White turned and saw a girl around eleven or twelve years old staring at her excitedly.
Little White scratched her head, then waved a little paw at the girl.
Seeing that, the girl was ecstatic. She tugged on the man next to her. "Brother, I want that Spirit Progenitor. Buy her for me! I want her as my pet!"
The young man looked to be in his twenties, dressed in fine robes, clearly wealthy.
He fondly ruffled her hair. "Alright, alright."
Then he led her forward and stopped in front of Erya and Li Shang.
Erya licked her candied hawthorn and looked at him. "What do you want?"
The man smiled. "Little sister, my sister has taken a liking to the Spirit Progenitor on your shoulder. Name your price, anything."
Li Shang frowned slightly but didn't speak.
Erya looked at the man. "Not for sale."
Little White glared at him and patted the little pouch on her chest...
The man hesitated, troubled. The little girl tugged his arm, pleading and whining. "Brother, I want this Spirit Progenitor, I want her as my pet!"
Erya looked directly at her. "You believe I'll eat you?"
She licked her lips after saying that.
The little girl became furious. "Do you know who I am?!"
Erya replied flatly, "Brainless."
Li Shang was speechless.
"Impudence!" The girl shouted angrily and was about to make a move when her brother held her back. The brother turned to Erya and said, "Little sister, if you're willing to part with her, we'll pay whatever you ask. If you're not the decision-maker, maybe get your family..."
"We're from the Nine Desolates Civilization," he added.
The Nine Desolates Civilization!
At that, the onlookers nearby were surprised. This was a civilization that had just ascended from the Divine Spirit level to the Super Divine Spirit level and entered the Origin Universe. They were a rising power.
Some people revealed strange faces. Though they didn't know Erya, Little White, or Li Shang, they knew one thing—in the Origin Universe, it was crucial to stay low-key and avoid stirring trouble. Otherwise, one's entire civilization could be dragged into disaster.
Erya licked her candied hawthorn. "Never heard of it."
The young man frowned, looking displeased and awkward. The girl didn't want to sell, and he couldn't exactly force it. He had considered snatching it, but this was the Immortal Treasure Pavilion. He was still afraid.
However, his little sister was spoiled rotten. The more she couldn't get something, the more she wanted it. She pointed at Little White. "Big Brother, I don't care. I want it. I want...."
Little White stared at the little girl, its paws were already gripping a small hammer inside her pouch.
Li Shang didn't say anything because Erya hadn't given a signal yet.
Erya stared coldly at the two. Then, she hugged Little White and walked away.
"Brother!" Seeing that, the girl panicked, tugging at her brother's arm, stomping her feet in frustration.
Li Shang looked at the hesitant young man and revealed a badge on his chest, the Immortal Treasures Pavilion badge.
Since Erya wasn't pursuing it, he decided to show a bit of identity to subtly warn the pair.
The young man paused. He recognized the badge, but not its rank. Still, he was already leaning toward backing off.
The little girl, however, glared at Li Shang. "So what if you're from the Immortal Treasures Pavilion?! You're flashing your badge to scare us?"
Li Shang was dumbfounded.
The young man still had some sense. He quickly pulled her aside. "Jiao Jiao, if you want a pet, we'll pick another one."
However, the spoiled Jiao Jiao got more stubborn. She charged at Erya and Little White, clearly intending to take Little White by force.
Li Shang's expression turned cold instantly.
Just then, several figures in black appeared before the girl.
The Immortal Pavilion Guards!
The girl's pupils shrank in terror; she could feel the breath of death. Before anything happened, Erya, standing at a distance, waved her hand.
"If the child is unruly, it's the parent's fault. Kill her Father. Let her grow up fatherless."
Everyone was dumbfounded.
With that order, Li Shang waved his hand. Several Immortal Pavilion Guards vanished instantly.
The young man realized that something was very wrong and tried to speak, but Li Shang followed the guards without giving him a chance.
The girl stood frozen in fear.
Erya hugged Little White and entered the restaurant, heading straight for Ye Guan's private room. The restaurant manager tried to intercept her, but Li Shang shot him a glance. He quickly backed off and stood respectfully aside.
Before she even reached the room, Erya's voice rang out, "Brat! I'm here!"
Everyone was at a loss for words.
The private room door opened. Erya walked in with Little White and sat right next to Ye Guan. Little White flew to Ye Guan's shoulder, rubbing his head with her paws, and waved to Fu Wu.
Fu Wu smiled at her.
Ye Guan picked up Little White and smiled. "Erya, Little White, have you eaten yet?"
Erya shook her head. "Nope."
Ye Guan said, "What do you want? Order anything."
Li Shang approached with the menu, but Erya blurted out, "Two whole roasted humans."
Huh? Li Shang froze.
Ye Guan's face also stiffened.
Erya quickly corrected herself without missing a beat. "I mean, two whole roasted lambs."
Li Shang was speechless.
After he left, Erya picked up her chopsticks, took a piece of fish, and looked at Ye Guan. "Anyone bullying you?"
Ye Guan smiled. "No."
Erya nodded. "If someone does, let me know. I'll beat them up for you."
Ye Guan nodded. "Okay."
"The thing is, Little White and I are short on cash..." Erya glanced at Ye Guan.
"Short on money?" Ye Guan looked surprised.
Erya nodded. "Yeah, short. We came to get a loan from the Immortal Pavilion..."
"How much do you need?"
"About three million Star Core Crystals."
Ye Guan suddenly said, "Li Shang."
Li Shang came in at once.
Ye Guan smiled. "How much funding do I control?"
Li Shang quickly replied, "Young Master, you can access anything the Immortal Pavilion owns."
Ye Guan asked, "How many Core Crystals do we have?"
Li Shang replied, "As many as you want."
Erya's eyelid twitched.
Little White blinked, then grinned widely.
Ye Guan said, "Bring ten million Star Core Crystals for Erya. Also, from now on, when she visits the Pavilion, she doesn't need to apply for loans; just give her whatever she wants."
"Understood." Li Shang immediately bowed. He stepped forward and handed Erya a black-gold card. "Miss Erya, with this card, you may withdraw any amount of Star Core Crystals from any Immortal Treasures Bank."
Erya pocketed the card and said, "Send my roasted lamb to the Guanxuan Domain."
Then, she hopped off the stool, walked to Ye Guan, and patted him on the shoulder. "Good kid, once I break through, I'll take you on a killing spree."
Little White gave Ye Guan a big kiss and rubbed his head furiously...
Ye Guan was speechless.
Erya hugged Little White and left.
Little White waved her paw at Ye Guan and Fu Wu. The moment they exited the room, the two little creatures jumped excitedly and ran away to get some cash.
