I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go-Chapter 439: The Child Is Missing
Sienna Quinn looked at her with some curiosity, not knowing if he knew the news and situation from Landon Lawson’s side. She shook her head lightly. Landon Lawson and Felix Orwell had never gotten along, so how could they become allies at this time?
Though she had doubts in her heart, Sienna Quinn merely shook her head with a smile and suddenly asked indirectly, "Have you felt like the dynamics have changed these days?"
"The dynamics have changed, what are you talking about?"
Felix Orwell’s brow furrowed imperceptibly, but only for a moment, even Sienna did not notice.
There was a hint of seriousness in Sienna Quinn’s expression as she spoke slowly, "It feels like there’s a storm brewing... this feeling makes me very uneasy."
Felix Orwell’s body trembled slightly, and he said colorfully, "What nonsense are you talking about? This city’s dynamics haven’t changed for years, do you think anyone can take everything away from Landon Lawson?"
Listening to Felix Orwell, Sienna nodded lightly. She understood this reasoning... but she was just a bit confused for the moment. Recently, everyone had been acting strangely, as if everything had become unusual. This made Sienna always feel that something strange had happened. What exactly was going on? Why did people become so inexplicable?
Whether it was Landon Lawson or Nolan Shaw, including now Vera Yates, everything they said and did seemed to have a deeper meaning.
Moreover, whether the mysterious person Vera Yates mentioned actually exists? Even Sienna herself didn’t know.
Felix Orwell coughed lightly, interrupting Sienna’s thoughts, and gently ran a finger along his nose bridge.
"Don’t get so lost in thought, just take it one step at a time."
The man’s lips curved into a pleasant shape, leaving Sienna a bit dazed for a moment, and she couldn’t help but say with a smile, "You’re even more good-looking than a woman. It’s such a pity you’re a man now."
"What’s so pitiful about that?"
The man raised his eyebrows, exuding a carefree charm that was somewhat pleasing.
With Felix Orwell’s advice, Sienna didn’t say much more and returned to her room. On the way back, Sienna turned her head doubtfully towards Felix Orwell and asked.
"Have you seen Evan Quinn?"
"Evan Quinn? Isn’t he home today?" Felix Orwell was slightly stunned, evidently not expecting Evan Quinn not to be at home. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
In an instant, his nerves were completely taut, and even Sienna seemed a bit panicked; fear was evident on her beautiful necklace.
"Where could he have run off to by himself? Could he have been taken again?"
Sienna’s rosy lips trembled incessantly, turning pale in an instant.
Felix Orwell approached with some heartache, gently patting Sienna on the back, "Don’t worry, how could that troublesome kid be in danger? Even if everyone else is in danger, nothing will happen to him."
Sienna’s lips remained tightly shut, without any relaxation, and her beautiful face was filled with fear. She realized that Evan Quinn was her only solace left.
If something happened to him as well, Sienna couldn’t imagine how she would live the rest of her life.
A sudden urgent ring tone sounded, and Felix Orwell took out his phone with some confusion. Looking at the caller ID, he gave Sienna a strange look, only to be urged by the latter, "Who is it? Why aren’t you answering the phone?"
Felix Orwell coughed lightly, softly speaking the few words from his lips, "Landon Lawson..."
Sienna was slightly stunned, clearly not expecting it to be his call. She nodded lightly towards Felix Orwell.
With Sienna’s affirmation, Felix Orwell finally answered Landon Lawson’s call, not speaking first. The voice from the other side spoke first.
"Chloe is now at IT Group."
"How did you know Evan Quinn was gone?"
Felix Orwell was dumbfounded for a moment, apparently feeling that Landon Lawson was somehow prescient, as they had just discovered Evan Quinn was missing and now got the address from the other side.
It was indeed a bit mysterious.
The man coughed lightly in embarrassment and said coldly, "Since you want to be Evan Quinn’s guardians, you need to be responsible for him. Today’s incident was just something I happened to know... If this happens again, I really need to reconsider if his guardianship should be handed over to you?"
The man’s voice became increasingly ethereal, yet this conversation was heard clearly by both Sienna and Felix Orwell.
"What nonsense are you speaking?"
Before Felix Orwell could ask anything, Landon Lawson hung up the phone first.
He looked at the phone angrily and said viciously, "Is this man really an adult? Why do I feel like he’s as childish and boring as a kid?"
Sienna nodded lightly, her pupils filled with deep sadness, and slowly said, "Did he say he wanted to take Evan Quinn away just now?"
Although it was a questioning tone, she clearly heard what Landon Lawson said just now... She just wanted to confirm it with Felix Orwell.
Felix Orwell nodded lightly with some helplessness. He truly couldn’t understand why Landon Lawson said such excessive things just now?
Doesn’t he know how important Evan Quinn is to Sienna?
He loves his wife and child so much, how could he not know this?
Or is it another performance of his coldness, deliberately distancing himself from Sienna?
Felix Orwell found himself increasingly unable to understand Landon Lawson, a helpless smile on his lips as he shook his head, "You stay at home and wait, I’ll go bring Evan Quinn back."
"I’ll go with you."
Sienna said as she was about to leave with Felix Orwell, but was stopped by the latter. He gently smiled at her and shook his head, "Seeing you in your current state, it’s better you stay at home and wait, besides, do you think anything unexpected will happen with only me going to pick her up?"
Sienna always trusted Felix Orwell, after all, during those five years in France, she received much of his care...
Her peaceful days in France were entirely reliant on this man.
Sienna nodded lightly, with a hint of sadness in her eyebrows. The words Landon Lawson said just now kept echoing in her mind...
