I Can Transform Into Any Monster-Chapter 30: Money
Chapter 30: Money
’Maybe I can provide some special body-shaping materials from the bodies of various monsters, but without the formula, it’s too dangerous,’ Luis thought.
He wondered where he could get the formula.
’Maybe that organization has it considering who the boss is.’
Not long after, he finally arrived again in front of the large warehouse where he parked Alice’s car.
He had no choice but to go there as he couldn’t leave her car there.
After returning to the true world, he got into the car and headed to his house.
It was already late and he also needed to sleep.
Only, he wasn’t in a hurry, he was driving slowly.
’If people detect I’m in Level D, I’m afraid it will cause a commotion,’ he thought as he drove.
He needed to think about this matter seriously because attracting attention could lead to disaster.
It wouldn’t be the usual attention like him winning big at the casino.
After all, leveling up was the most important part for all Awakeners.
He only awoke yesterday, even without the Spirit, but he was already at Level D. Who would believe him if he told this to others.
Of course, there were tools to hide the stats of the Magic Glasses. That was what he was thinking.
Only, even the Magic Glasses were very expensive, let alone a tool to hide the stats.
Luis had heard it cost around 2 Million Dollars.
For now, he couldn’t rely on Monster Cores because the Monster Cores he would obtain would practically be used to accumulate his energy points.
Hence, he needed to sell treasures to earn money.
The two treasures he could sell were the poison he got from Milo and Bluestone’s body.
The poison could probably be useful if kept, so he would keep it. He would only sell the Bluestone because it was practically much more expensive.
Perhaps it could reach 15 Million Dollars considering it was at Level 5.
Only, selling it might be a little tricky since it wasn’t easy to kill.
Luis wanted to sell the corpse because he also didn’t have the ability to turn it into jewelry.
When passing by a really big Awakener Store, he couldn’t help but lower the speed of his car until it almost stopped.
’Do I just sell it here?’ He wondered.
He just needed to say that he found Bluestone’s corpse by accident, not kill it himself.
The store shouldn’t make something like this public news. After all, many expensive items were sold to them every day.
After thinking for a while, he finally got out of the car.
He entered the store, approaching the cashier directly who was still a local.
"Is there anything you need, sir?" the cashier asked.
"I’d like to sell you a Level 5 Bluestone corpse," Luis replied without hesitation but his voice was a little low.
The cashier froze at that, as if he was having trouble digesting his words.
"Are you serious?" he asked afterwards.
"Do you think I’m lying?" Luis couldn’t help but glare as his seriousness was doubted.
The cashier became scared because of his gaze.
He was just an ordinary human, he naturally did not dare to fight with an Awakener.
"Sorry sir, please wait a moment, I’ll ask the manager," he replied.
After that, he contacted the manager through the small radio already installed on his head.
Luis could hear his words but could not hear the manager’s words.
After finishing, the cashier stood up.
"Sir, please follow me to the second floor," he said.
Luis nodded and followed him to the stairs.
The cashier naturally couldn’t serve for items that were too expensive.
The second floor, it was not divided into several rooms. It was one spacious room with several work tables and a very comfortable-looking sofa.
Luis saw a few people there who were mostly store employees.
When he gazed towards the manager’s desk, he couldn’t help but be astonished. In fact, his heart immediately started beating loudly out of nervousness.
This store manager who was a middle-aged man with bright blonde curls, a resident of the empire, was not sitting in his chair.
Instead, he was standing beside his chair which was currently occupied by a young woman who was practically the same age as Luis.
The woman had straight blonde hair and a very pretty face with a cold gaze.
She was wearing a long coat that made her look even more authoritative despite her youth.
The manager seemed to be giving reports to the young woman who occasionally looked at the pile of documents.
Luis could see the documents faintly and they turned out to contain the data of the Local Awakener who originated and lived in Velos 33.
If it was the most recent data, he must have also entered because the number of documents was quite large.
The woman was Isadonna. Naturally, he was nervous to see her here.
He unconsciously touched the Lifeborn in his pants pocket, signaling it to be quiet.
It could not be detected because when it was at its smallest size and suppressed its powers, it was practically just like an ordinary root.
His arrival naturally caught the attention of Isadonna and the manager.
The woman stared at him for a few moments before signaling the manager with her head to serve him.
She then went back to reading the pile of documents.
She should have known that he had come to sell Bluestone’s corpse given that she was next to the manager, but she didn’t seem to care much.
Perhaps women at the level of Isadonna, even Bluestone are not so worthy of attention.
Soon after that the manager approached Luis.
"Son, do you really have a Level 5 Bluestone corpse?" the manager asked Luis.
He wasn’t very polite to him.
"Right, I found it by accident. It was suddenly thrown from afar and I don’t know who threw it," Luis replied.
His explanation seemed absurd, but later, there would probably be news that the Bluestone near Velos 33 had been killed by a human-shaped monster suspected of being the Undead.
When the manager got the news, he would conclude that the undead threw the Bluestone’s corpse and Luis happened to be the one who got it.
When everything was connected, then he would only be considered a lucky guy.
Even if Milo, Thomas, and the others heard this, they could only be jealous.
The manager seemed to want to know whether he was joking or serious after hearing his answer.
At the same time, he added, "do you want me to show it here?"
"Yes, show it," the manager replied.
Luis then took out the Bluestone’s corpse in the room.
It wasn’t that big, so it didn’t matter if it was taken out here.
Instantly, it appeared and the light almost staggered the store employees because of how blinding it was.
Even Isadonna who was focused couldn’t help but stare at the Bluestone corpse.
"This is real," the manager said before looking at Luis again.
"15 Million Dollars, do you agree?" he asked.
"Yes!" Luis nodded without thinking.
The important thing was that it sold at the market price. Even if it was a little less, he didn’t care.
Of course, the money he received wouldn’t be that much because of the taxes that were directly deducted by the store and sent to the government.
It was just that, other than the Monster Core, the tax was usually only around 15 percent. Monster Cores had the highest tax, especially Level 5 because compared to other treasures, obtaining them was still easier for those with combat power.
Hearing his answer, the manager quickly took care of the purchase paperwork.
He transferred the Bluestone corpse to his Dimensional Artifact and paid Luis 13.5 Million Dollars.
Luis just wanted that money. After getting it, he quickly took steps to leave.
He did not want to be around Isadonna for too long even though the latter did not seem to care about him.
Fortunately, until the end, she still did not care about him.
’I shouldn’t have come to this shop,’ he thought.
’This is probably the biggest Awakener Store in Velos 33. Luis then realized that the biggest stores were probably under the auspices of the woman’s family business.
And he didn’t buy the detection avoidance device from this store.
He chose another shop to buy it for 2.5 Million Dollars.
It was just a ring-shaped thing with no flashy decorations so it was easy to carry around.
His mood was naturally very good as he had 11 Million Dollars left in his bank account.
This number was too high for him so his head started thinking about what he needed to buy.
Only, when he looked at his bank account again for the second time, he found that it was reduced by 6 Million Dollars at once, making his eyes instantly hurt.
Of course, that was because the empire directly deducted his money to pay his debt, 5 Million Dollars plus 10% interest.
"Fuck, I only get a fraction of my hard work!" He couldn’t help but curse, yet also felt calmer that he finally had no more debt to the empire.
