I Can Get 1,000,000x Returns from Selling Anything!-Chapter 73 --Allied Shadowkin, Human Crisis
Meanwhile...
Skyhold, three hundred miles outside Lam River.
This was the southeastern border of human territory. Further south lay the vast, untamed Primeval Forest.
Deep within the forest hid a bottomless chasm.
Black mist constantly flowed from the rift, twisting into grotesque shapes in the air. From its depths came faint whispers and guttural roars.
At the edge of the rift stood a towering stone watchtower.
Built entirely from white jade and standing about fifty meters tall, its summit floated a massive orb of light, radiating a soft golden glow that sealed the surrounding black mist out.
This was a human Watcher’s Tower.
The Shadowkin were not minions of the Dark God—they were native to this world.
They were the descendants of the Great Abyss from the previous era, once rulers of the entire world before the Abyss closed.
Two thousand years ago, the gods and humans united to seal the Shadowkin beneath the abyssal rift.
To prevent their escape, humans built watchtowers at every rift, manned day and night.
At this moment, a small green figure crept stealthily toward the rift.
It was a Goblin.
Barely 1.2 meters tall, cloaked in black, with dark green skin visible beneath the hood.
Pointed ears, flattened nose, protruding teeth, and small eyes gleaming with cunning.
[Goblin Envoy · Kruel (LV150)]
He held a black token in his arms, etched with twisted runes and exuding an eerie aura.
[Abyssal Token (Special)]
Effect: Allows the holder to safely pass Shadowkin wards, immune to abyssal aura and undetected by Shadowkin attacks.
Description: A Shadowkin token, granted only to those recognized by the Shadowkin.
Kruel reached the edge of the rift, took a deep breath, and leapt.
The black mist immediately swallowed him.
Falling.
Falling.
After an unknown duration, his feet touched solid ground.
Opening his eyes, Kruel found himself in a massive underground chamber.
Black rock walls surrounded him, crawling with glowing moss that bathed the space in a grim, greenish light.
The floor was hard stone, engraved with complex runes that glimmered faintly red.
Ahead, two massive figures silently regarded him.
The one on the left stood roughly ten meters tall, covered in jet-black scales, with a pair of huge fleshy wings sprouting from its back. Two spiral horns atop its head crackled with lightning.
Its vertical pupils were dark gold, burning with eerie green flames at the center.
[Abyss Lord · Azmodar (LV??? · Legendary-Grade)]
The figure on the right was slightly smaller but exuded a far more sinister aura.
She had a female form, covered in dark purple scales, with six slender bony wings on her back, each tipped with a sharp spike.
[Nightmare Queen · Avelia (LV??? · Legendary-Grade)]
Their combined presence pressed down on Kruel like a mountain, nearly suffocating him.
He knelt heavily, barely daring to lift his head.
"Ex... esteemed Abyss Lord... Nightmare Queen..."
"I am Kruel, envoy of the Goblin tribe, sent by the High Priest to pay respects!"
Abyss Lord Azmodar leaned down, his massive eyes fixed on Kruel.
The gaze was like a predator observing an ant.
"A Goblin?"
His voice rolled like thunder, shaking the entire chamber.
"You green-skinned vermin dare to stand before me?"
Kruel trembled violently but forced himself to speak.
"Please, my lord! I bring urgent news!"
He took a deep breath and spoke rapidly:
"The Beastfolk, Elven rebels, Dwarves, Mammothfolk, Sea People, and Shadow Council... have formed an alliance!"
"They plan to launch a full-scale war against the humans!"
"I have come specifically to plead for your cooperation, to strike the humans from within and without!"
Azmodar and Avelia exchanged a glance.
"Humans?"
Avelia’s voice was hoarse and seductive.
"The Watchers are still above?"
Kruel nodded repeatedly.
"They are! Still standing!"
"So what is this? Are you courting death?"
Avelia’s eyes flashed red.
For countless years, if not for the Watchers guarding above, the Shadowkin army would have long torn the humans to pieces.
"Your Majesty, I came prepared!"
A smug expression crossed his face as he pulled a dark spear from his cloak.
Forged entirely from an unknown black metal, twisted runes etched along its shaft, the tip glimmered with a dark red light.
Merely holding it, one could feel the murderous intent contained within.
[Spear of Dalik (Special Weapon / Single-Use)]
Description: An ancient forbidden weapon of the Shadowkin, forged specifically to strike the gods. Its appearance always heralds bloodshed and chaos.
"With this, those human Watchers... hehe."
Kruel didn’t finish, but the implication was clear.
Azmodar stared at the spear, silent for three seconds, then laughed.
The roar rolled like thunder, shaking the chamber.
"Good! Good!"
"Two thousand years... we have finally awaited this day!"
His eyes burned with the fire of vengeance.
"Back then, the gods and humans united to seal us beneath this sunless abyss."
"It is time to make them pay!"
Avelia laughed too—an eerie, captivating sound.
"Humans... hahaha..."
"Those self-proclaimed paragons of justice have surely forgotten the era when we Shadowkin ruled."
"I cannot wait to make them truly feel what despair is!"
