Chapter 254: Status Page

It was already late at night when the three of them felt satisfied.

Laying beside Miguel were the two beauties, sleeping soundly while using his shoulders as their pillow.

Miguel smiled in satisfaction by how things were going.

As said before, doing Dual Cultivation was a sure way to increase their rank and go stronger, but the downside to this was also obvious. Doing it daily without pause can actually diminish one’s foundation, causing irreversible damage in the long run.

Miguel doesn’t want that to happen so he already made sure to tell his beauties regarding this situation.

Of course, the two of them don’t have a problem with it.

They could still do normal sex without doing dual cultivation after all.

Anyway, while the two of them were sleeping soundly, Miguel decided to check his current status in the grimoire.

It has actually been a while since he last checked his profile page. Compared to before, he now has more skills and he knew that the count would only continue to get higher. After all, for him, acquiring a skill only needs some effort.

His obvious next course of action would be to raise his summoner rank. Doing that was not easy, however, since like beasts rank, going further would mean the experience points needed to upgrade or level up would increase exponentially.

Once he upgraded to Advance Elite Summoner, he would be able to summon four summons per day. He had already planned not to neglect his other two summons and planned to cultivate them diligently.

As he hugged the two beauties beside him, Miguel decided to lay out his future plans.

Searching for the real culprit behind Aaliyah’s demand was the top priority. Right now, the city seemed to be shrouded by a dark hand controlling everything behind the scenes. He might have already entered their radar right now so he decided to be cautious in this regard in the future. His identity as Elder Journey was always in the open and he could not do something openly, so he wanted to make use of his other identity, Sid, to do things in the dark.

The Ironclad Mercenary was also a pawn he decided to set up, and he planned to set up even more.

As for alerting the man behind the scene with his actions, Miguel was naturally not afraid of it.

They would surely not associate Sid and Elder Journey as one. After all, one was an overpowered Martial Artist, while the other was an overpowered summoner. There was no way that the two of them were related, right?

But of course, Miguel would not pin all his hopes on one front. Since he decided to go all out, he wanted to be as meticulous as he could be.

The only problem with this set up, though, was that he would not be able to nurture and increase the level of his Dark Veil Beast and the Scorching Water Tortoise with his two identities.

As for creating a third identity, Miguel thought that it was too much of a hassle already.

Anyway, after sorting out everything, Miguel drifted to sleep, with two beauties snuggling him in both arms.

...

Morning came in the blink of an eye.

In the basement, the sound of forging and fighting could be heard echoing out.

With the barrier of concealment, there was no need to worry about the sound leaking in the surroundings.

Right now, Aaliyah was still in her forge while Edith was already training the Scorching Water Tortoise

As for Miguel, he began his daily session on trying to create a particular skill in his mind. He had already decided to discard his idea from before and create an entirely new skill from scratch. This one would better suit his current needs the most.

Since he did not want to carelessly create this one as well, he might need a few days before he would be able to successfully replicate it to suit this world’s rules. It would be possible to create it in a single day though, as long as he put his focus into it.

Anyway, he was not particularly in a hurry to create this skill since it would take a while before it could be implemented, so he was taking his time as well.

Speaking of this particular skill, Miguel actually decided to create this one after much consideration.

He got his inspiration from the controller behind the scene as well as from Liam’s summon, the snake that could control his subordinates from afar.

Of course, Miguel doesn’t plan on creating something sinister. It does not suit him and besides, he has better skills that could create the same effect.

An hour later, Miguel and the others left their villa as Elder Journey.

As for the Scorching Water Tortoise, Miguel has already let it rest inside his grimoire after it was done with its daily training with Edith.

Donning their masks’, the trio left the villa’s vicinity and went to Maras Tavern to get their breakfast.

As usual, hand in hand, they made a lot of heads turn their way as they passed by the street. With their get up, none dared to come forward and strike a conversation, to the trio’s delight.

Arriving inside the tavern, Miguel realized that it was even more deserted than before.

It might be because of the incident from before as well but he could feel the gloom pervading the tavern as he stepped inside.

Once inside, Miguel habitually scanned the room and realized that Maras was still not in his usual spot.

He approached the counter and immediately ordered their usual.

He then asked the one assigned in the counter information regarding Maras.

"This..." The man assigned to the counter hesitated for a bit before finally deciding to reveal something.

He also knew that Elder Journey was a frequent visitor of Maras Tavern and that he has some friendly relationship with the owner, so it was only right that should be informed on what was going on.
