Chapter 213: Another Deal

"A total of ten Low Silver Grade Swords, seven Low Silver Grade Armors, two Mid Silver Grade Swords, and one Mid Silver Grade Armor," Damian exclaimed in disbelief as he looked at the items laying in front of him.

One must note that even for a big family like them, having such high-level items was not a norm. After all, Silver Grade Beasts were not easy to hunt.

The skill of the blacksmith also needs to be considered. Even if one has a lot of Silver Grade beasts corpse or materials, it would still be a question if they would be able to successfully forge them into an item with the same grade.

The grades of weapon and items were also subdivided into Low, Mid, High, and then Peak.

The swords and weapons that Miguel left for themselves were of the Peak Silver Grade and if not for the fact that they lacked some high level materials, there would be a high chance that Aaliyah would be able to forge a Low Gold Grade item.

In some terms, these sub-level can also be called Level 1, 2, 3 and then 4 for Peak.

Underneath their clothes were also armors or plates of the same grade.

The best was reserved for them while the ’junk’ was now being sold to the Red Family.

"These items are very precious. Elder Journey, do you really want to sell it to us?" Damian asked. Although he sounded doubtful, a trace of appreciation could not be concealed in his voice as well.

Miguel waved his hand nonchalantly.

"As I said, there is no need for such formalities. We are doing a trade, not a charity."

"You’re right. But, still, I am grateful for this trade," Damian expressed his gratitude enthusiastically.

It can be said that these kinds of items can already be use as a strategic resource, especially in a small city like Blazing City.

Miguel stood up and extended his hand toward Damian, "Pleasure doing business with you then."

Damian nodded his head and took Miguel’s hand, "Likewise."

After the deal was made, Damian hurriedly stored all the items inside his grimoire.

As for the price, he could not tell yet as he was not an appraiser.

Miguel was not worried that they would cheat him for the price as well. It was not that he trusted them, but he trusted that they would not do something so foolish.

After a while, Miguel bade farewell to Damian and as he prepared to go to the academy.

Today was the opening day of the academy and he was invited to attend.

In fact, upon knowing that he was already on his way there, Damian suggested that they go at the same time.

Miguel did not mind.

Damian called for the Red Family’s private carriages.

Aside from them, there were also other elders who rode the carriage along with them.

As the carriage traveled to the academy, Miguel could not help but notice that the Grand Patriarch Zuko seemed to be nowhere on sight.

The carriage they were riding was the most luxurious one the Red Family had. With his status, it would only be appropriate for the Grand Patriarch to ride such a carriage to the academy.

However, instead of him, it was them, the elders riding the carriage to the academy.

’Could it be that he doesn’t want to go?’ Miguel made a guess. He did not inquire any further. He just kept his silence while the carriage made its way to the location of the academy.

As the most luxurious carriage of the Red Family, the carriage naturally drew attention from the crowd that they passed by.

Not to mention the huge carriage, there were also guards escorting them to the academy. The arrangement made it seem like the people inside the carriage was afraid that their entrance would not be noticed by the public.

Anyway, after a few minutes, they finally arrived at a bustling place.

A sea of people was in front. Most of them were youngsters the same age as Erika and the others and only a minority of them were old enough to be called dads by the others present in the area.

With one glance, Miguel knew that most of them were just apprentice summoners while the others were not even graded martial artists.

After they disembarked the carriage, an old person immediately came over to receive them.

This old person has a scholarly vibe around him. He was wearing a black and red robe embroidered with intricate blazing designs.

This old person’s name was Leodero, the dean of Blazing Academy of Grimmoire Users and Martial Artists.

Behind him were a woman wearing a red ceremonial robe, while the other one was a man wearing a black martial arts attire.

They were Casandra and Lumier, the department heads of the Grimoire User department and the Martial Artists department of the academy.

Casandra and Lumier both have red hair, their background and identities apparent at one glance.

Miguel was not unfamiliar with the three of them. He had already met and even interacted with each of them during his inauguration ceremony.

As the most powerful family in Blazing City, it was only natural for the three heads of the academy to welcome the arrival of the Red Family.

Leodero went forward with a smile. After greeting Damian and nodding at everyone else behind him, Leodero gestured for all of them to follow him inside the academy.

Leodero led them to a spacious quadrangle in the middle of the academy.

At the center of this quadrangle was a massive platform akin to a huge stage. The stage was also divided into four sections, each being separated two meters against each other.

Around this massive stage were seats of various heights and elevation.

The seats were already filled with a sea of people of various ages.

Amongst these seats, a particular area was deliberately left empty by the crowd. It was guarded heavily and it was in this area that Leodero led everyone to sit.

Leodero, Damian and the other high ranking members and teachers of the academy naturally sat at the front row.

The Red Family elders who were not teachers or professors sat at the back, further away from the stage.

Their arrival, of course, garnered the attention of almost everyone present around the stage. Some went quiet, but it was still not enough to silence the active crowd.

Every year, every time the Blazing Academy of Grimoire Users and Martial Artists reopened, a competition would be held to determine the students’ improvements during their vacation.

Aside from that, seniors, the freshmen would also show off their skills and genius to attract possible mentors suitable for them in the long run.

In fact, aside from the rewards obtained by the top placers for the competition, the most valuable thing that one could get during such competition was the possibility of being accepted as a personal disciple of the academy’s teachers.

Being accepted would be a good thing for their growth as it meant that they would receive a one on one direct tutelage from such experienced teachers.

According to what Miguel knew, Erika has also piqued the interest of a teacher of the academy when she showed her ability in the competition last year.

Speaking of Erika, Miguel scanned the crowd and noticed Erika and Gasper sitting amongst the crowd of people present below them. The others from the Peach Village were also among them. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

Looking at their expression, Miguel guessed that they had probably begun to move on from their near-death experiences from before.

This was a good trait that they must have.

Gasper for example even looked eager and excited. It seems like he had already regained the confidence that he had once lost.

Erika also had an expectant look on her face.

At this moment, Erika suddenly turned to look at where Miguel was sitting. She subtly nodded her head as a greeting while deep inside, she promised to gain a good rank in this competition once again.

Miguel smiled before he retracted his gaze away from them.

He shifted his focus to Leodero who had now stood up and began walking to the center of the four-sectioned stage.

As his figure entered the stage, the noisy crowd suddenly began to calm down as though a silent magic was casted.

From their looks, though, it seems that they just respected the dean a lot. Hence, all of them went quiet the moment they saw him standing at the center of the massive stage.

After a pin drop silence passed, Leodero did not waste the opportunity and immediately began to announce the reopening of the academy as well as the start of the yearly competition.

"For this competition, the generous Red Family will be sponsoring Silver Grade items as rewards for the winners."

As the announcement was made by the Leodero, it was as if a massive bomb was dropped in the area.

Boom!

After a momentary silence, the crowd reacted enthusiastically after comprehending the words of the dean.
