I Can Contract Beauties-Chapter 182: Forging

The materials that Miguel had collected these past weeks had accumulated to a huge amount. Including the usable parts of the beasts, especially the Volcanic Wyrm they previously killed, all the materials had formed a small mountain under the basement.

The Dark Veil Beast looked at the array of materials in amazement. It was even more and more proud of itself for its decision earlier.

Aside from the beast materials, there were also other treasures that they had bought and found along the way.

Aaliyah stared at all of them and even recognized most of the materials that were present.

She turned to look at Edith and Miguel and said that she would now begin forging their weapon and armors.

She took the measuring tape that Miguel bought in the market before and began taking their measurements. She also listed all of their requests, and what they wanted about the items they wanted to get forged.

After she took all of the information needed, she went inside the forging room along with the materials.

The place went quiet as the temperature inside the forging room began to rise.

Miguel and the others no longer bothered with Aaliyah.

He went to one corner of the room and began to meditate.

Edith also went to another corner and began to train seriously.

Not wanting to be outdone and be labeled as a slacker, the Dark Veil Beast stimulated the Scorching Water Tortoise to train together as well.

In one corner, Miguel gradually entered a state of deep meditation. He doesn’t want to cultivate, but instead wants to create a new skill.

During these past few weeks, Miguel was not idle during his free time as well.

Along the way, he learned a lot of information about his skills.

Creating a skill depends on its level of usability and profundity.

The more profound a skill was, the harder and the longer it would take him to create it.

A major skill such as Fire Manipulation, Dark Manipulation, and other skills like Psychokinesis that could be used in a lot of ways would take a long time to create.

This seemed to be the rule that must be followed.

Aside from that, Miguel also realized that the skills he knew from his previous life would not work here unless they were converted to this world’s system first like what he was doing before.

Right now, what he wanted to create was the skill that can allow him to inscribe arrays.

Arrays were indispensible method of cultivators.

Cultivators that were able to use different kinds of arrays would naturally have an edge toward others who don’t.

With arrays, they could set up traps in an instant, and even allow their opponents to get devoured in an illusion.

Arrays can be inscribed to items and have a lot of applications.

Array creation can also be called rune creation or formation creation.

Miguel was trying to create such a skill right now for a lot of different reasons.

First, he wanted to convert the Spacial Meteorite into a Space Confinement Stone, and in order to do so, he must inscribe an array or rune on it to make it work.

However, when he tried it before, he realized that it did not work even when he used his Origin Energy to scribe it.

This was also the reason why he realized that he must create the necessary skill for it to work first. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Second, he planned to create a large energy gathering array in the villa so that he could cultivate peacefully without worrying about the drainage of the Grimoire Summoning Energy around the area.

Although the Grimoire Summoning Energy in Blazing City was countless times much more abundant compared to Peach Village, Miguel knew that it would still dry up easily if he cultivated here seriously.

Third, a concealment array, illusion array and many others would greatly help him conceal the things in the basement.

Fourth, adding an array or rune to the weapon and armors that Aaliyah creates later would be able to greatly increase their strength.

Unfortunately, creating such skill was easier said than done.

As it was a major skill that involved a lot of knowledge, even Miguel found it hard to convert it to this world’s skill easily.

However, Miguel was not someone who would easily give up either.

His brows were knitted as he converted the array knowledge to a usable skill of this world.

Unfortunately, his meditation was interrupted a few moments later.

He opened his eyes and looked above the surface.

Two familiar figures greeted his senses as Edith sensed their auras and stopped her training as well.

Miguel stood up from his seat and told Edith to accompany him outside.

Edith wiped the sweat all over her body and wore a new set of clothes and happily went to the surface along with Miguel.

As Aaliyah was still busy inside her forging room, they did not disturb her and allow to continue what she was doing.

The Scorching Water Tortoise was long summoned back to the grimoire as it reached the time limit for being present in the real world.

The Dark Veil Beast was on the corner, looking at Edith in fear. It was just a few moments earlier that her cheek was squeezed so hard by her.

On the surface, the twin’s face lit up the moment they saw Miguel and Edith walking out of the villa’s main door.

They did not know how to contact them and were only trying their luck by staying outside. They did not expect that they would emerge a few moments later.

From afar, they saw ’Journey’ waving toward them, beckoning for them to come closer to the door.

The two looked at each other for a brief moment before they proceeded to walk forward.

The moment they arrived, Journey’s concerned voice greeted the both of them.

"You guys are injured quite badly again?"

Nova and Luna looked at each other before nodding their heads embarrassedly.

Getting injured after every mission was actually a common occurrence to them. However, after ’Journey’ healed the both of them, and hearing his concern now, they could not help but feel a little ashamed of themselves for being injured again.

"We did not expect that there was another Fire Gecko aside from the one we faced before so the battle was much harder than we anticipated. Fortunately, we prepared a lot this time around so we were still able to succeed in the task," Nova reasoned out as she raised the bag she was holding proudly.

"Here’s four Flame Fruit of good condition as promised," she added with a smile on her face. There were some wounds and bruises on her face, though, so her smile was not as good as she wanted it to be.

She handed the bag that contained the Flame Fruit to Miguel, allowing him to inspect it.

Miguel opened the bag and inside, he finally saw the Flame Fruit In person.

It was the size of two fists and it was orange in color. Dark-red lines swirled around the surface of the fruit, as though they were smokes that emitted from fire.

The moment he laid eyes on the fruit, Miguel instantly determined that it was not the same as the Yang Fruit in his previous life.

Although he was curious, he did not hastily inspect them and instead closed the bag.

He then looked at the twin sisters and stated, "Four Flame Fruit of very good condition. I’ll buy them all at the current market price of 1 Silver Coin each."

The twins looked at each other once more before they nodded their heads.

"Only three. The last one is the repayment for healing our wounds yesterday," Luna stated with a hint of shyness on her face.

She knew that the value of healing wounds was more than that, but they didn’t have the money to pay him appropriately so they could only make do with this.

They could not let him take all the Flame Fruits for free either as that would make their efforts go in vain.

On the other hand, Miguel merely smiled behind the mask and stated, "As I said, the repayment would be you giving me a Flame Fruit of a good condition."

"However, since you guys offered it anyway, then let me heal you this time again for this extra Flame Fruit. What do you think?"

The twin was flustered upon hearing such words. They already owed him enough for healing their wounds previously, how could they let him heal them this time again?

The two of them immediately rejected and stated that there was no need to.

However, Miguel told them that if they did not allow it, then he would just pay them four Silver Coins for the four Flame Fruits, to which they immediately rejected as well.

The two were in a dilemma for a few minutes before Edith spoke and told them to just accept it.

In the end, after speaking to themselves, they decided to accept the heal once more, but decided not to forget this favor.

They promised that they would surely repay him in the future if given the chance.
