Chapter 331: The End of Eastern Lion War

After receiving the absolute order from Ethan, Peter began commanding his troops to board the ships and prepare to sail toward Aqua City.

Ethan did the same. Orders were issued from him to all allied forces in Nuwa City. Their destination now was Aqua City.

Peter and the island alliance forces departed on two sailing ships, while Ethan sailed with four.

In total, sixty thousand soldiers from the two alliances set sail from Nuwa City to Aqua City.

"We’ll arrive at Aqua City in one hour," Nash explained as he walked toward Ethan.

Ethan nodded, standing side by side with Arthur, who was being held captive by him.

Golden shackles still bound Arthur’s body, making it difficult for the man to break free despite his overwhelming strength.

Sera accompanied Ethan, floating in the air. Since the battle that would take place in Aqua City was the final battle that would decide everything, Ethan intended to use Sera’s abilities to their fullest to push back the Scavenger forces.

"Sera," Ethan called out.

"Yes?" Sera replied.

"How much time do you have left before your cooldown?"

"About two to three hours."

"Use the remaining time to unleash your strongest abilities," Ethan said firmly, staring at Sera with complete seriousness. "Go ahead to Aqua City first. Order Luna to begin attacking the enemy. The two of you are assigned to face the Scavenger forces."

Sera listened carefully to Ethan’s command. She gave a brief nod, saying she would do her best to help him in this battle.

The servant in the golden dress flew swiftly into the sky, leaving behind a trail of golden light. Everyone watched Sera depart, including Arthur.

"Who exactly is that servant of yours? Why is she so powerful?"

Ethan refused to say anything about his servants. Sera’s or Luna’s identities had to remain hidden from the public. If people found out, the entire world would hunt Ethan down.

Clearly, Ethan was not ready for that to happen.

"You don’t need to know. What matters is that she and Luna will help me win this war."

"Was that servant also the one who helped you destroy Silver Star’s city the other day?"

Ethan confirmed it with a brief nod. Arthur smiled faintly. If that servant had helped Ethan destroy a city, then there was no doubt about how terrifying her power truly was.

Even though Sera had already left the fleet of sailing ships, her magic was still active on Arthur’s body.

The golden chains continued to bind Arthur. Ethan smiled as he realized how helpless Arthur was, trapped within those restraints.

The one hour journey came to an end. From the bow of the ship, Ethan looked ahead and saw numerous ships docked at the southern pier.

Unlike other cities, Aqua City was located on the southern side of the island. This allowed ships to dock directly at the city’s pier without having to pass through a strait.

Even so, the enemy would not be able to seize the city’s main pier. Their fleet was not equipped with ships capable of conducting land invasions.

That was why they would land at another pier on the island instead.

Yuna stood atop the city wall, beside Nathan. She raised her hand and waved, welcoming Ethan’s arrival.

However, as Ethan’s ship drew closer to the city pier, Yuna and Nathan were shocked to realize that Ethan had come to Aqua City with a prisoner.

"Arthur?!" Yuna exclaimed.

It was only natural for Yuna to react that way, because she had never imagined Ethan would take Arthur hostage like bargaining collateral.

Ethan’s fleet successfully docked at the city pier, and Ethan and Arthur walked down from the ship onto solid ground.

Yuna had already arrived at the pier area. Her expression was still stunned, confused, and full of disbelief.

"What... happened?"

"Hello, Yuna. I’m glad to see you’re safe," Arthur greeted her.

"I thought LionArk and the entire Eastern Alliance would kill you. Looks like I was wrong. You allied with them, didn’t you?"

Ethan cut Arthur off. "He’s my prisoner. Both of you are my prisoners."

"Really? That’s an impressive achievement."

Arthur turned his head, his gaze locking onto Nathan. "How’s the battle situation?"

"We’re doing quite well. Many Scavenger soldiers have been killed, and a lot of their team members are injured."

"They’re extremely agile. Many of us have trouble dealing with them," Nathan added firmly.

Ethan nodded. Nathan’s words might be true, but Ethan still needed to confirm it with his own eyes.

"Lyodra!"

[Mode: Aggressive Soul Servant]

[1. Lyodra Vulkanis | Lv. 10 | S-Rank | Passive: Aggressive | 2500 MP]

Chibi Lyodra flew forward, her body glowing red, transforming into an adult woman clad in a dress of flames and wielding a lava sword.

Ethan handed Arthur over to Lyodra. His only command was for her to ensure Arthur’s safety and prevent anyone from killing him.

Lyodra nodded, floating closer to Arthur and escorting him to the main tent of the allied forces within the city.

The reason Ethan hid Arthur was to make Xeno believe Arthur was still fine. That way, Xeno would not withdraw or flee from the event.

Ethan stood atop the city wall, looking north where the Scavenger forces in their distinctive black uniforms were lined up neatly.

His eyes also caught the concentration of the Scavenger team members positioned behind the soldiers.

Unlike the situation in Nuwa City, the Scavengers were still accompanied by one city guild team from the Redemption Sword alliance, though their condition was far worse than that of the Scavengers.

Sera and Luna flew back, hovering in front of Ethan. Luna wore a cold, serious expression as she held her trident. Sera looked fiery and excited, her light sword floating gracefully alongside her.

"Nathan," Ethan called.

"What are your orders, Sir Ethan?"

"Put all forces on alert. We’re going to attack them in the final battle."

Nathan listened carefully. Ethan’s expression was firm and resolute, leaving no room for doubt or hesitation.

He carried out Ethan’s command. Tens of thousands of troops prepared themselves and lined up in front of the city’s northern wall.

Ethan leaped forward powerfully, landing heavily on the ground. From the northern edge, one of the Scavenger team members rushed over to inform Xeno.

"What? Didn’t Ethan go to fight Arthur?" Xeno asked.

"No. Ethan is here."

"I already contacted my friend in Redemption Sword. They said they’re still in Nuwa City," the man explained.

Xeno burst into loud laughter. His assumption had been completely wrong. Ethan hadn’t divided his forces, he had focused everything on one enemy.

"It’s time to execute Plan B. We’re heading to Nuwa City and joining forces with the Redemption Sword," Xeno ordered firmly.

All team members listened to Xeno’s command. From the south, Ethan observed two different situations unfolding.

The soldiers charged toward the city, while the team members ran back toward the northern pier. Ethan could clearly guess their plan.

"Destroy the pier and their ships. Don’t let them escape, Sera!" Ethan commanded.

Sera nodded and flew swiftly, golden light streaking across the sky. Several enemy servants attacked her, but none of them could stop Sera.

Xeno looked up at the sky, ordering his members to attack Sera. However, Sera immediately swung her sword sideways, unleashing a massive golden slash toward the pier.

BLAST!

An explosion erupted, setting the northern pier ablaze, destroying their sailing ships and injuring many Scavenger team members.

Xeno grew even more enraged. His plan had failed because Ethan intervened in this battle.

If Ethan had gone to Nuwa City and killed Arthur, Xeno could have withdrawn and safely returned to the game world.

But now everything had changed. Tens of thousands of troops stood ready on the city’s northern wall, a combined force of the Eastern and Western Alliances.

"What should we do, Chairman Xeno?"

Xeno turned and ordered the guild team fighting alongside him to rebuild the pier. No matter what, they had to escape Aqua City Island as soon as possible.

Ethan extended his hand, summoning Bloodblade Ashura. He gripped the sword as his appearance changed and a surge of power coursed through his body.

[Mode Ashura Activated!]

Ethan raised his sword. "This is the final battle that will mark the victory of the Eastern Alliance. Release all of your power. Leave not a single one of them alive to witness our triumph!"

"YEEEAAHHH!"

"Allied Forces, attack!" Ethan shouted.

Tens of thousands of soldiers charged forward with burning enthusiasm. Their goal was simple: annihilate the remaining enemy soldiers and kill every enemy guild member.

"Luna. Help me fly!"

Luna agreed, channeling her magical energy into Ethan. He began to fly, blue magical particles forming beneath his feet.

"Help me fight the Scavenger members, Luna!"

"I understand, Brother Ethan."

Ethan and Luna flew over the allied forces until they reached the Scavenger battlefield. Ethan landed forcefully, smashing into them and knocking their bodies backward.

Without hesitation, Ethan plunged his Bloodblade Ashura into the ground. A blood domain emerged, and the earth transformed into a pool of blood.

"Bloodflare Cataclysm... activate!"

All enemies trapped within Ethan’s blood domain were immediately afflicted with AGI and STR debuffs.

It was the most hated type of debuff for assassins, rendering them slow and weak.

Ethan pulled out his sword and charged forward, unleashing Crimson Slash, followed by Ashura Rift, and then basic attacks.

His attacks became more effective, his sword swings more powerful. It was driven by vengeance.

"YOU KILLED STAR SHIELD!"

SLASH!

"YOU LET THEM SUFFER!"

BLAST!

"I..." Ethan stopped, his face covered in blood, dismembered human bodies scattered across the crimson ground. "...will not let you go!"

Ethan’s attention shifted forward. Several Scavenger members formed a circular formation, protecting Xeno, the guild leader of Scavenger.

"You... Mr. X!"

Xeno gasped. Only one person knew his identity as Mr. X. That person was Arthur.

"HE ALREADY..."

SLASH!

Before he could finish his words, Ethan unleashed a Crimson Slash forward. It was an attack no assassin-class fighter could withstand.

Their bodies were split in two, with Xeno becoming one of the victims.

Ethan’s blood domain dissipated. The blood pool vanished, replaced by soil stained red from scattered human remains.

Ethan walked slowly, dragging his sword across the ground, creating a terrifying and chilling presence for anyone who heard it.

He stopped in front of Xeno, lowering his head as he looked at the dying man.

"Have you... met... Arthur?"

Ethan raised his sword and stabbed the blade’s tip into Xeno’s neck, intensifying his suffering.

Xeno’s groans grew faint as Ethan’s blade destroyed his throat.

"Arthur... asked me to kill you."

"Pathetic, isn’t it? You died because your closest friend asked me to do it."

Ethan crouched down and whispered into Xeno’s ear, "Don’t worry. I’ll make sure every Scavenger member dies by my hand."
