I Become the Strongest with Infinite Skills Level-Chapter 328: War of The Eastern Lion 9
He and Jack stepped into the city. Ethan’s attention shifted as he saw injured alliance team members focused on recovering their wounds and stamina.
One of the team members approached him. "Ethan. Two of our alliance members have fallen."
"What?"
Ethan immediately followed the man to another area where the two alliance members had died in the earlier battle.
When the others saw Ethan arrive, they stepped aside, clearing a path around the bodies.
Shock crossed Ethan’s face at the sight of the two fallen members. They were not from LionArk, but from another guild.
The first victim had a wound in his abdomen, having run out of blood and MP. The second had no visible injuries but had been struck by a deadly poison.
Ethan could have healed the wound and removed the poison, but if the victim was already dead, there was nothing he could do.
He crouched beside them, gently placing a hand over their eyes and closing them.
"I don’t want this to happen again," Ethan said quietly. "Heal every injured team member."
"Hissy."
Hissy emerged from the sleeve of Ethan’s clothing and coiled onto his right palm. Poison against poison. Hissy could neutralize toxins within a person’s body.
"Go and neutralize the poison in everyone’s body, Hissy."
The snake nodded and left with members of the LionArk guild to check on the others.
"What should we do with their bodies?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
"Bury them properly. Record their names. LionArk will provide compensation to their guilds."
"Yes, Sir Ethan."
Jack stood silently, struck by Ethan’s compassion. Unlike Arthur, who prioritized power above all else, Ethan embraced his members in close brotherhood.
Ethan turned and walked toward Jack. "Let’s meet Sir Peter."
Jack nodded. The two of them left the area and headed to the town center. From a distance, they saw a man in a white and blue uniform, white dominating the design.
He turned and smiled, shaking Jack’s hand firmly.
"Thank you for coming, Sir Peter," Jack said.
Jack then introduced Sir Ethan to Sir Peter, though even without the introduction, Sir Peter already knew who Ethan was.
"After seeing the number of Eastern Alliance troops, I’m confident we can drive Redemption Sword and Scavenger out of the archipelago," Peter said.
"We?" Ethan asked.
"News of the Eastern Alliance has spread across every city in the archipelago. Your goal is to defeat Redemption Sword and Scavenger," Peter explained.
"That proves we share the same enemies."
"Seeing you arrive and protect Blazing Arrow City is more than enough proof that you have no intention of making enemies of us."
Ethan nodded. He explained that Redemption Sword and Scavenger had been LionArk’s enemies since the beginning of the event.
The only war the Eastern Alliance intended to wage was against them, not against the archipelago.
"We’re gathering troops from every city. Redemption Sword appears to be attacking Nuwa City, while Scavenger is assaulting Aqua City."
"There are two servants guarding those cities. I don’t know who their master is, but—"
"They’re my servants," Ethan said.
"Really? The strength of your two servants is impressive. They’ve helped greatly in defending the cities."
Ethan nodded. He trusted the abilities of his two servants completely. Still, in his opinion, it was too early to fully deploy them.
"They only have one day. I’ll use them to crush Redemption Sword and Scavenger."
"With the help of your two servants, they won’t stand a chance," Peter replied.
"You’re right."
"So, what’s the best course of action you can suggest?" Peter asked.
Ethan glanced at his troops and team members who were still recovering. It would take about an hour for them to fully regain their strength.
There were ten hours left before Sera’s cooldown ended, while Luna still had plenty of time remaining. However, the power of the two goddess servants was unmatched.
"I’ll divide my forces between the two cities. After one hour of recovery, I’ll head to the coastal region to retrieve my remaining troops."
"How about this," Peter proposed. "I and the troops from the nearest cities will deploy immediately to Nuwa City and Aqua City."
"We’ll stall them until your forces arrive."
"We’ll attack Redemption Sword and Scavenger from two different directions."
"What do you think?" Peter asked.
Ethan remained silent for a moment, then nodded. If they were willing to help, he had no reason to refuse.
With their assistance, the Eastern Alliance might defeat Redemption Sword and Scavenger more easily.
"Very well. Then it’s settled. I’ll leave now," Peter said.
He departed with his team members. Ethan nodded, still standing beside Jack.
"This will be a major war at the end of the event," Jack said.
"It will."
"The winner of this event will decide who rules the continent."
"I don’t expect the Redemption Sword to win. Every guild in the western plains is disappointed in them."
Jack explained that at the beginning of the event, they had formed a partnership with guilds from the central plains.
However, due to unexpected circumstances, an invasion was launched that left the archipelago unprepared.
Many casualties followed. Three coastal cities were destroyed, causing panic across the islands.
"Our troop numbers are low because we supplied forces to Redemption Sword and Scavenger."
"Without realizing it, the troops we sent were used against us."
Ethan finally understood why Redemption Sword and Scavenger had attacked the archipelago. They wanted to seize the core crystals and the military strength of the island cities.
According to their plan, after conquering the archipelago, they would move on to invade the desert region.
But their progress had stalled due to fierce resistance from the island cities.
"The western plains... can form an alliance with us in the east," Ethan said.
"We never sought hostility. We maintained peace."
Jack nodded. After witnessing tens of thousands of Eastern Alliance troops arrive, he now understood the principles that guided Ethan and his alliance.
"We, Blazing Arrow, will help you defeat Redemption Sword and Scavenger."
Ethan smiled faintly and patted Jack’s shoulder. "Thank you. Once the troops have recovered, we’ll head to the coastal region to bring them back."
