I Become The Richest Man With A monthly Salary of Twenty Thousand Yuan-Chapter 784 - 528
Sun Wukong said haughtily, "Hmph. I'll take you to Mount Huaguo to see for yourself."
"Hmm, you're quite impressive, Great Sage," Lingling said, still smiling.
Of course, she knew all about the Great Sage Sun Wukong's eventual fate: being pinned under the Five Fingers Mountain by the Tathagata, accompanying Monk Tang to the Western Heaven to retrieve scriptures, fighting demons, and protecting his master through many adventures. But she didn't say it out loud. She didn't want the Sun Wukong of this moment to feel the weight of his future. Right now, he dared to defy Heaven and Earth. If he knew what was to become of him, who knew how he might change.
Sun Wukong suddenly stood up and grabbed Lingling's hand. Without waiting for her to agree or object, he summoned his Somersault Cloud, pulling her aboard and shooting off toward Mount Huaguo.
Lingling had never experienced anything like it. The tangled emotions of nervousness, excitement, and fear from her first time on the Somersault Cloud made her blood race.
"Eh? You don't look too well. Let me have a look," Sun Wukong said, noticing Lingling's pale face. He realized she had a health issue. With a single glance from his fiery, golden eyes, he spotted a tumor inside her body.
Without hesitation, he reached in, plucked the tumor out, and tossed it away. Then, he infused his magic into Lingling, purging every last toxin from her system.
"There, all better now," Sun Wukong said with a smile. "Our meeting is a matter of fate. I couldn't just stand by and watch you die from some illness. How do you feel now?"
"Uh, much better. Thank you, Great Sage," Lingling said joyfully.
She knew she was only in the Virtual World. What happened here wouldn't change anything back in reality. Her cancer, though eliminated here, would surely still be there when she returned. Her time was running out, but Lingling had no regrets.
"Don't be so polite with me. I don't like pretentious people," Sun Wukong laughed heartily. "I liked you the moment I laid eyes on you, little girl. That's why I'm willing to share everything I have with you."
Then, the two of them descended from the clouds and landed on Mount Huaguo, where they were immediately swarmed by a troop of cheering monkeys.
"The King is back! The King is back!"
With his hands on his hips, Sun Wukong pointed to the crowd and laughed. "My children, this is Lingling. She is my dear sister. You can all call her Princess Lingling. From this day forward, she is under my protection!"
Immediately, the troop of monkeys knelt and shouted in unison, "Princess Lingling!"
Lingling smiled and waved at the monkeys.
「Meanwhile, in the hospital room」
Ling Er and the others had seen Sun Wukong cure Lingling's cancer. He turned to Xia Liang, his face flush with excitement.
"Mister Xia, this... this won't have any adverse effects on Lingling's body, will it?"
Zhu Qing also looked at Xia Liang anxiously. If Sun Wukong eliminated the cancer in the Virtual World, would Lingling's body return to normal when she came back to the real world? If that were true, it would be a miracle.
Xia Liang's answer was evasive. "We'll have to see what fate has in store."
「Meanwhile, the online audience was also stunned.」
They had been watching Lingling's interaction with Sun Wukong in the Virtual World and were shocked to see the Great Sage so brazenly pull the tumor out with his bare hands.
[Whoa, that must have hurt! Can't Sun Wukong be a little gentler with Lingling?]
[Sigh, I'm so envious of Lingling. I want to experience magic like this too! The immersive feeling is absolutely thrilling.]
[This has to be the happiest moment of Lingling's life. I'm so jealous.]
[God Xia is just on another level. To be able to create this kind of magic... it's completely mind-boggling.]
[I wonder if Lingling's cancer will still be there when she leaves the Virtual World.]
[I hope Sun Wukong really cured her cancer. That would be such a relief.]
[Yeah, she's such a cute, innocent, and kind little girl. It would be too heartbreaking if she died just like that.]
[I think it's impossible. How can things that happen in the virtual world affect the real world? That would be too bizarre.]
「Meanwhile, in the Virtual World」
Under Sun Wukong's lead, Lingling toured Mount Huaguo and then visited the Dragon Palace. Pressured by Sun Wukong, the Old Dragon King immediately brought out his finest things to offer Lingling.
"Old Dragon King, she is my one and only sister. You must give her something good, or I'll tear down this Dragon Palace of yours right now!" Sun Wukong warned, staring at the Dragon King.
"Of course, of course! I'll do as you say. Princess Lingling, please, come with me. You may pick anything you desire from my treasure vault. Take whatever you like," the Old Dragon King said, not daring to cross Sun Wukong. After all, Sun Wukong had just raised hell in the Celestial Court, leaving gods and demons weeping in his wake. He had completely broken with the heavens. If the Dragon King offended him now, he really might get his palace torn down.
Lingling followed the Dragon King to the treasure vault. There, a procession of treasures—from Seven-Colored Cloud Robes to priceless Pearl Treasures—was brought before her. She had never seen so many marvelous things and was completely dazzled. Finally, with a recommendation from the Dragon King, Lingling chose a few items that gave her a brand-new look.
When Lingling reappeared in the main hall of the Dragon Palace, even Sun Wukong was stunned.
"Hahaha, now that's more like it! This is a look worthy of the Great Sage's sister," he laughed. "Come, I'll take you to meet an old friend."
With that, Sun Wukong once again mounted his Somersault Cloud and carried Lingling away from the Dragon Palace.
Before long, they stopped at Guanjiangkou. Lingling looked up at the plaque above the grand hall, which read: "Hall of True Lord of the Clear and Mysterious Origin."
"Is this where Yang Jian lives?" she asked, surprised.
"Yeah, you know about Three-Eyed," Sun Wukong replied with a nod.
"Uh, I've heard of Yang Jian's name. He's also a very powerful immortal," Lingling said.
"He is powerful, but still a step below me," Sun Wukong declared. "But Three-Eyed isn't as lucky as I am. His mother and sister both suffered terribly at the hands of that old geezer, the Jade Emperor. He turned against the Jade Emperor long ago and is now my brother."
At this, Sun Wukong bellowed toward the hall, "Three-Eyed, get out here!"
A flash of white light appeared, and the Erlang God, Yang Jian, stood before them, holding his Three-Pointed Double-Edged Knife. He looked at Sun Wukong with a cool, detached expression. "You rascally monkey, what are you doing here? After causing chaos in the Celestial Court and fighting all the gods and Buddhas, are you trying to drag me into your mess?"
"Cut it out, Three-Eyed," Sun Wukong said dismissively. "I taught your good-for-nothing uncle a lesson for you. You could at least thank me, but instead you're here making snide remarks. I, Sun Wukong, take full responsibility for my own actions. I would never drag my brothers down with me. I'm just asking you to look after my sister. If anything happens to me later, you cannot let her be harmed."
Lingling's expression changed, and she quickly shook her head. "No, no, Great Sage! I don't want to leave. I don't need anyone to look after me."
Yang Jian gave Sun Wukong a deep look. He didn't ask when the monkey had gained a sister, but simply smiled faintly. "Fine."
Just then, the sky abruptly darkened. A dazzling golden light burst forth, and a massive Buddha appeared in the air above Guanjiangkou. Sun Wukong and the others looked up to see the figure seated on a lotus platform. His expression was kind and benevolent, and his form blotted out the sun.
Lingling recognized him. It was the Tathagata Buddha, the powerful being who would pin Sun Wukong under the Five Fingers Mountain.
She quickly leaned in and whispered urgently into Sun Wukong's ear.
