I Become The Richest Man With A monthly Salary of Twenty Thousand Yuan-Chapter 526 - 433 Resolution
Xia Liang couldn’t stand the thought of Liao Daben replacing Liu Yu. After a moment of contemplation, he decided to act.
With a mere thought, he began to alter their fates: Liao Daben would be imprisoned! In ten days, Liu Yu would take office!
"Alright, stop crying."
Having done all this, Xia Liang waved his hand. Liu Yu, sitting on the sofa, had been on the verge of tears. He had waited years for this opportunity, only for it to end like this.
"What... what is it?" Seeing Xia Liang speak, Liu Yu was a bit bewildered.
"You are a good official. That position is better suited for you. Go home and wait for the good news."
"What?"
Liu Yu was stunned for a moment before excitement surged through him.
"Mister Xia, are you saying that the spot... it’s mine?"
"That’s right." Xia Liang nodded with a faint smile. "That Liao Daben isn’t fit for public office; his record isn’t clean. You don’t have to worry about him anymore. He cannot escape the judgment of the law."
Hearing this, Liu Yu froze. He was aware of the rumors about Liao Daben’s shady past, but they were just rumors, and there was nothing he could do about them. Xia Liang’s words, however, sent a chill down his spine. Even his next words came out trembling.
"Mister Xia... you don’t mean that you, just by being here, have made Liao Daben face justice, do you?"
"It was nothing. You should head back and wait for the news. There’s another person waiting outside," Xia Liang said with a light chuckle. He then took a map of Golden Dragon City from the wall, placed it on the table, and circled a location.
Next to the map lay an open car magazine. When Ye Yuan saw Liu Yu leave, he opened Xia Liang’s door, ready to enter. Instead, he saw Xia Liang walking toward the exit, seemingly about to leave.
"Hello, Mister Xia. My name is Ye Yuan." Ye Yuan bowed slightly and extended his hand, his heart pounding.
Why is he leaving? Does he really only do a few divinations a day? Am I too late?
Xia Liang continued walking toward the door without stopping, but his voice reached Ye Yuan’s ears. "The answer you seek is on the table."
Pointing to the table inside, Xia Liang continued on his way out. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
On the table was a map of Golden Dragon City, with a certain location circled. Staring at it, Ye Yuan felt a rush of blood to his head, and his pupils constricted wildly. He stumbled back and collapsed onto the sofa, his body so unsteady. Despite the summer heat, he broke out in a cold sweat. Even his voice stuttered when he spoke.
"Mister Xia... you truly are a divine being!"
Ye Yuan had come to see Xia Liang to ask about the planned location for a new subway station in Golden Dragon City. As someone in real estate, he knew exactly what such a location signified. No matter how expensive the surrounding land and property prices were, a new subway station would cause their value to multiply several times over. However, the locations of new stations were a closely guarded secret; real estate developers like him would never be told in advance. Ye Yuan was certainly not going to let such a massive opportunity slip by, which was why he had come to consult Xia Liang.
And it was as if Xia Liang knew exactly what he was going to ask. He had simply drawn a circle on the map!
Combined with what he just said—"The answer you seek is on the table"—doesn’t that mean this is the location of the new subway station?
Ye Yuan knew this area; the land price wasn’t high. If he bought the land now, once the subway station’s location was announced, he stood to make millions!
The spot Xia Liang had circled was indeed the location of the new subway station.
When Ye Yuan had been peeking through the crack in the door earlier, Xia Liang had noticed him and had discerned his question. He had also seen this location in Liu Yu’s trajectory of destiny. Furthermore, since Ye Yuan was an upstanding man who never cut corners on his construction projects, Xia Liang decided to help him.
Just as Xia Liang was about to leave the shop, he ran into Fang Youxue. Before she could even say a word, he spoke first.
"Let’s go."
With that, he took the lead and walked toward her car.
A short while later, Xia Liang was sitting in the passenger seat of Fang Youxue’s car, looking quite relaxed as he watched the scenery go by. They were heading toward the city center, which worked out well since Xia Liang had planned to visit today anyway. Fang Youxue was there at her second uncle’s behest, who hoped she would build a rapport with Xia Liang. Since they were of a similar age, she had volunteered to accompany him when he mentioned his plans, and Xia Liang hadn’t refused. The company of a beautiful woman was certainly better than wandering around alone.
"Thank you for what you did for my third uncle," Fang Youxue said, casting a smile toward Xia Liang in the passenger seat.
Xia Liang looked over at her and waved a hand dismissively. "It was a trifle, not worth mentioning."
Fang Youxue paused, then tilted her head to steal a glance at him, her mind filled with questions. "But, may I ask you something, Mister Xia?"
"Go ahead," Xia Liang smiled.
"Can you really figure out everything?" she asked.
"You don’t believe me?"
Looking at Fang Youxue, Xia Liang’s lips suddenly quirked up in a strange smile. He hadn’t forgotten the little quirk he’d discovered the first time he looked into her destiny.
"Five days ago, at 10:15 PM, you were home alone. You closed your bedroom door, turned on your computer..."
"Wait!" Fang Youxue’s face instantly flushed as red as a ripe apple, her skin so delicate it seemed it might break with a touch. She swiftly cut him off.
