I Became the Only Non-mage in the Academy-Chapter 262: Black God – Interlude
The entire world turned black.
The once colorful world was now engulfed in darkness.
It was as though everything in this place had been dipped into a vat of black paint, swallowing all.
In this transformed world, the black began to move.
It negated, distinguished, devoured, and materialized the essence.
The blackness descended, delivering death.
The Black Sun observed it and realized:
It had regained its complete power.
No, perhaps it had surpassed even that.
The god who created the world forged the Black God as a tool for destruction.
Yet, in its ability to devour, assimilate, and transform into its own strength, it surpassed even its creator—a depth feared by all gods.
‘No, this is…’
This wasn’t just any abyss.
The abyss didn’t possess this kind of power.
The core of the blackness was the abyss itself, consuming and assimilating everything.
But this was something else, a mixture of different forces.
It negated everything, distinguished everything, devoured everything.
-Crrrrr.
And materialized the essence.
A dragon, as if it could cover the world, revealed its form.
All of this was merely a precursor.
The blackness restrained its opponent, using such overwhelming power for mere containment.
A follow-up strike was inevitable.
‘A sword…’
An insignificant tool, designed for a race far inferior when compared to gods.
Born from it, wielding conceptual divinity, attempting to rival gods themselves—foolish beings came to mind.
But that entity—
It was unlike anything else.
The sword of this new Black God, called Lee Seo-ha, was extraordinarily dangerous. Absorbing half the army and half the demon cavalry had barely sufficed to restore its strength.
The sword wielded by him severed all concepts.
It disconnected everything.
Such was the authority it exuded.
Lee Seo-ha half-opened his eyes.
‘To kill gods.’
It was a literal truth.
Evil gods.
Born from human concepts and growing through human faith, they thrived on the negative emotions of sentient beings.
The more suffering they caused, the more they grew.
Torture, despair, and forcing loved ones to kill each other—
They fed on such emotions, becoming grotesquely bloated.
Such evil gods deserved nothing less than death.
He grasped the Black Heavenly Demon Sword, layering it with a dark blade.
It took on a form that seemed to devour everything like the universe itself.
He imbued it with the desire to kill, with his will.
[Title, the Power of the Savior descends.]
The power of Pama (Magic Breaker) infused itself.
The newly forged dark blade accepted this power, as though submitting entirely to his will.
Black light exploded.
The Black Heavenly Demon Sword devoured the darkness, spewing black light in every direction—a blade that was, quite literally, black.
It exuded overwhelming force, capable of destroying anything that stood in its way.
The sword’s talent responded.
Lee Seo-ha extended the blade forward.
Thwack!
The overwhelming black sword split the true body of the Black Sun in the sky,
severing the heavens and earth behind it.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Numerous notification windows popped up in front of Lee Seo-ha.
“Hoo.”
He retracted the blackness.
The darkness that had spread across the world flowed back into his body without any loss.
A massive star accepted the blackness, drawing it into itself.
Crunch, crunch.
A sound echoed. Something seemed to chew, swallow, and tear apart.
‘No, it actually is.’
The Black God.
Once attacked and brought low by evil gods, it was now being consumed and devoured by Absolute Stat Blackness.
Crunch, crunch, crunch.
[Absolute Stat Black (+1).]
I thought about the Absolute Stat.
Absolute Stat.
No matter how I considered it, it was unusual.
When I played as Kim Seo-hyun, she awakened as the Martial God at the end.
The Martial God.
A being was presumed to possess the Absolute Stat of White.
Yet, Kim Seo-hyun never manifested any Absolute Stat.
That was why I was so startled upon first encountering the clue to Absolute Stat Black.
Kim Seo-hyun awakened as the Martial God, growing incredibly powerful.
Even against evil gods, she didn’t falter, using her time-manipulating powers to reverse time and seek optimal outcomes.
She defeated countless evil gods invading Earth without yielding.
Most endings resulted in Earth’s destruction, but it could also be seen as the achievement of eradicating all evil gods from Earth.
Evil gods were entities that had destroyed countless dimensions.
The gods of the Hundred Temple and other deities present here were all survivors from dimensions annihilated by these beings.
The Twelve Gods of Olympus and the deities residing in Asgard, seeking to grow their power, invaded other dimensions only to encounter evil gods, and fled here—a laughable tale.
‘In any case, if White is equivalent to Black—’
The Black God was called the Creator God’s right hand.
Yet, after being attacked and brought low by evil gods, it fell. Even so, the Black God possessed an Absolute Stat, which led to its consumption by me.
‘A power difficult to control.’
Perhaps even I might be devoured by it.
Turning my gaze, I looked at another talent.
Talent, Celestial.
The Black God spoke directly.
“Ah, to think you hold a fragment of the qualifications only possessed by a being of creation descending from the distant heavens… You are truly a bundle of potential. Even the Fairy Dragon King, wandering across dimensions of void, couldn’t possess such a vessel.”
And this indicated a level beyond transcendence.
To my knowledge, only the Heavenly Demon had reached this stage.
Celestial.
Above the heavens.
I touched the Black Heavenly Demon Sword.
Beside me, the Heavenly Demon appeared.
Clad entirely in black martial attire, which seemed both functional and comfortable.
“You look like you have many questions.”
Indeed, there were many.
Where had it been all this time? What were the capabilities of the Black Heavenly Demon Sword? What exactly was Celestial? What had happened to the Heavenly Demon? Black Heaven seemed to have recovered most of the Heavenly Demon’s memories.
I cleared the questions from my mind.
“Well, I do have some, but for now…”
Smiling,
“I’m just glad to see you.”
I welcomed Black Heaven.
A high castle.
A desolate fortress, mostly destroyed and barren.
This was once the residence of the Black Sun’s priest and a space occupied by the Nazi Empire.
Now, no one lived here.
Something resembling the true body of the Black Sun had descended upon this world.
When it was slain, the demons vanished as if they had been an illusion. No armies, no presences remained.
I sat there, gazing at the scene.
The blood-red sky. Withered and twisted trees. Blood-soaked ground.
But those things were no longer present.
Moonlight, faintly glowing, hung in the sky, and the land was slowly regaining life.
‘Not bad.’
The end of those detestable foes.
At this point, there were few enemies left.
The so-called great evils.
And the evil gods.
Aside from those there were some exceptions—gods who, desiring to expand their domain and increase their worshippers, might cause conflicts.

While they might become a nuisance, they weren’t much of a threat anymore.
If there was one problem, it would be the possibility of the evil gods and great evils uniting against me.
I looked over the battlefield.
“Lee Seo-ha! You’re our hero!”
“We always believed in you!”
There were heroes nearing their prime.
Dragons were present.
The Heavenly Demon could be seen.
Kim Seo-hyun, deep in thought, was also there.
“They couldn’t fully shine on the battlefield.”
Black Heaven spoke.
“It couldn’t be helped. This was the enemy’s domain. The oppressive, sticky magic here restrained our powers.”
“That’s true.”
I was the exception.
Even before I unified the power of blackness, I wasn’t significantly affected by the magic here.
“If there’s any restriction, it’s that I can barely use white-aligned powers here.”
Conceptual Stat Seal and alchemy.
Those abilities couldn’t fully manifest here.
“It seems I’ll need a bit more time.”
For the time being, I might have to hide away somewhere to focus on mastering my powers.
“Master, look over there.”
Black Heaven gestured to something.
Turning my head, I saw walls covered in pictures of a masked man.
“…….”
What was this?
“It seems he liked you quite a bit. Hmm… Not that I’m one to judge…”
Black Heaven smirked mischievously.
I sighed and reached out, releasing black energy.
Crash!
A surge of black wind destroyed everything, scattering fragments.
“Master.”
“Hmm?”
“I’ve recovered most of my memories.”
“Really?”
I felt somewhat relieved by Black Heaven’s words.
If she regained all her memories, she wouldn’t be the same Black Heaven anymore. And honestly, I preferred the current version of her.
…Even if she seemed a bit lacking, everything about her as she was now made up who Black Heaven was.
“Also, for some reason, if you pass me your power, I can even form a physical body.”
As Black Heaven spoke, I sent some of my power her way.
She began forming a physical body.
“Not bad.”
“It’s a real body?”
“It’s probably related to my origin.”
Black Heaven chuckled pleasantly.
Tuk.
She leaned her head against my shoulder, shifting her position.
Eventually, she wrapped her arms around my neck, hugging me.
I just smiled.
