306 Accidents
“Cheng Mu!” Cui Hao glanced at her coldly. He grabbed Shen Nian’s collar and dragged him out of the classroom. When they reached a quiet area at the end of the corridor, he let go angrily and flung Shen Nian against the wall.
Cheng Mu’s heart ached. She clearly heard the sound of Shen Nian’s head hitting the wall. Afraid that he would go into shock, she hurriedly looked at the back of his round head.
Shen Nian suddenly pushed her hand away. He was dizzy but he tried his best to see Cui Hao’s silhouette. His voice was hoarse and cold. “Are you going to hit me in school?”
Cui Hao felt angry when he saw saw Cheng Mu’s anxious and nervous look. He fiercely grabbed Shen Nian’s collar and say, “Kid, do you think I don’t dare to hit you here? I’ve secretly seen the school records. You’re a b*stard with no father! Why pretend to be noble and aloof!”
Shen Nian coldly narrowed his eyes at him . He showed no sign of fear. In fact, he even curled his lips into a cold smile. “What business is it of yours if I have a father or not? Compared to your pathetic look when you beg for attention, I feel that I am far happier than you!”
“You arrogant brat!” Cui Hao was furious. He raised his fist and was about to hit him, but the crying girl beside him clutched his arm tightly. Google search 𝒇𝘳ee𝚠𝘦𝚋n૦𝐯el com
Cheng Mu was red with anxiety. She shook her head and tried to dissuade him. “Don’t hit him. You can’t hit him. Cui Hao, if you dare to touch him today, I’ll cut ties with you!”
“You!” Cui Hao could not take it anymore and flung her hand aside. He stared at Cheng Mu for a long time, unable to say anything.
He was tall and well-built, and had a burly figure unusual for someone his age. His classmates were very afraid of him, but Cheng Mu had always ignored him. He had spared her because she was a girl and his desk mate, but today, she had protected this brat who had suddenly transferred to their class. If he did not teach him a lesson, no one would ever listen to him again!
Cheng Mu did not care about that. She only knew that she must not allow Shen Nian to be hurt. If Shen Nian was beaten up, she would be the one feeling the heartache.
Shen Nian straightened his collar expressionlessly and glanced at Cheng Mu, whose face was covered in tears. He suddenly felt displeased.
He had not cried after being bullied, but she was crying so hard that she could scarcely breathe.
Shen Nian felt irritated. He frowned and said, “Enough, stop crying.”
He was still dizzy and barely managed to steady himself. He just wanted to find a place to sit down and rest, but the girl’s cries kept ringing in his ears, making him even more irritated.
Cui Hao was also very annoyed, but he was annoyed that he could not bear to hit Shen Nian because of Cheng Mu’s tears. He warned Shen Nian with a cold expression and turned to leave the corridor.
Shen Nian also staggered back to class. He was dizzy and the slightest movement made him nauseous.
Cheng Mu saw that he was walking unsteadily, so she quickly wiped her tears and ran over to support him. “Why don’t I send you to the infirmary to rest? You might have hurt your head. You should let the doctor take a look at you.”
“No need.” Shen Nian did not like others touching him. He stubbornly waved her hand aside, unwilling to let her help. However, the dizziness swept over him in waves. He suddenly wanted to lean against the wall and rest for a while, but just as his body tilted slightly to the right, someone grabbed his arm tightly.
Cheng Mu stared in horror as he almost fell. She shouted, “Shen Nian! Be careful! There’s a staircase over there!”
Unfortunately, it was too late. Shen Nian’s head was spinning and he could not maintain his balance. He fell to the right. In a moment of desperation, Cheng Mu gritted her teeth. With a burst of terrifying strength, she pulled Shen Nian back from the brink of danger. However, the momentum caused her swap positions with Shen Nian and she rolled down the stairs in his place.
The students who were about to go upstairs and return to class were shocked to see the girl suddenly fall from above. A bold student took the initiative to test her breathing and shouted in surprise, “She’s still alive! She’s still alive! Hurry up and tell the teacher!”
The sudden loss of balance shocked Shen Nian and he came to his senses. The scene in front of him became clearer. He blinked his eyes in confusion and looked at the unconscious girl lying on the ground at the bottom of the stairs. There was a pool of blood beside her.
His heart felt as if it had been hit by a heavy hammer. He rushed down the stairs to Cheng Mu’s side and shook her body with trembling hands. However, all he received was the fierce opposition and criticism from the students around him.
“Did you push this student down the stairs?”
“No.” Shen Nian shook his head blankly. His eyes were fixed on the pool of blood on the ground, and his face was pale.
The students obviously did not believe him. Soon, the teacher arrived. They immediately complained to the teacher, “He was the one who pushed her down the stairs. We all saw it with our own eyes!”
The teacher recognized Shen Nian. She frowned and carried Cheng Mu. She used a clean handkerchief to cover the bleeding wound on the back of Cheng Mu’s head. She turned around and looked at him coldly. “I’ve already called an ambulance. Do you want to go to the hospital, or back to class?”
