I Became the Best Forensic Doctor After My Betrayal-Chapter 273 - Chaos
273 Chaos
After dinner, the two of them strolled around the mall for a while before Shen Yin returned home exhausted.
Lian Jing was sitting on the sofa and playing chess with Shen Nian. When he heard the sound at the door, he only lazily opened his eyes to take a look before staring at the chessboard in front of him again. He did not say a word.
When Shen Nian saw that his mother was back, he hopped up and tried to look for Shen Yin. However, Lian Jing suddenly grabbed his arm and pushed him back to the seat opposite him. “You want to give up halfway? Don’t forget our bet.”
Shen Nian pouted and gave Shen Yin an injured look. Then, he sat down obediently and picked up a chess piece to place on the chessboard.
!!
Shen Yin changed her shoes and handed her shopping bags to the servant. Only then did she walk over and look curiously at the two people playing chess seriously. “What bet?”
Shen Nian looked up at Shen Yin sadly and complained to her pitifully, “Daddy said that if I lose at chess, I can’t hug Mommy whenever I want!”
“Lian Jing!” Shen Yin could not take it anymore and glared at him. “He’s your son! And a six-year-old child at that!”
Lian Jing opened his eyes lazily and looked back at her matter-of-factly. “I know. I’m teaching him to be independent. He should not rely on you all the time.”
“Nian Nian is already very independent.” Shen Yin sat beside her son helplessly and stroked his head consolingly.
Shen Nian was more independent than all the children his age. He was only six years old, but he could already do the laundry, cook, and help with the housework. He was already an impressive child.
However, Lian Jing still felt that it was not enough. She wondered how precocious his ideal son would be.
She could not help but roll her eyes at him. Shen Yin’s eyes darted around as she came up with a plan.
Since Lian Jing’s unreasonable request was a bet, as long as he lost, Nian Nian would not be restricted by him.
A wicked smile crept up the corner of Shen Yin’s mouth. Taking advantage of the fact that both of them were focused on the chess game, she suddenly got up and threw herself into Lian Jing’s arms. She covered his eyes tightly with her small hand and looked at Shen Nian with a smile. “Hurry up and play. If you win, you can hug your mother!”
Shen Nian was dumbfounded as he watched his mother openly help him cheat. He nodded in a daze and quickly adjusted the chessboard so that it benefited him. He smiled and said, “Mom, I’m done!”
Only then did Shen Yin let go, revealing Lian Jing’s dark eyes under her palm. Her smile froze on her lips.
She felt awkward and guilty. She wanted to get up and sit at the side, but the big hand on her waist refused to loosen its grip. She could only smile awkwardly and hug his neck. “Lian Jing, I didn’t do it on purpose. Have you guys eaten? Why don’t I go to the kitchen to see if there’s anything to eat!”
She struggled to get up.
Lian Jing’s large palm held her slender waist tightly. He raised the corners of his lips and sneered. “You want to run away after causing trouble?”
Shen Yin felt a chill run down her spine. She glanced at Shen Nian. His head was lowered and he did not dare to look up at her. She hugged Lian Jing’s neck again ingratiatingly. “I didn’t do it on purpose. Let me go.”
Lian Jing smiled and could not help but pinch her chin. He lowered his head and kissed her lips. After a light kiss, he let go of her hand and looked at Shen Nian. “Since someone helped you to cheat, let’s forget about today’s bet. We’ll continue next time.”
Shen Nian heaved a long sigh of relief. He could not help but make a gesture of praise at his mother. However, the next instant, he saw her panicked expression as someone swept her up and carried her away.
Shen Yin punched his chest lightly and glared at him with a red face. “Put me down quickly. Our son is watching! Stop fooling around!”
Lian Jing raised his eyebrows and glanced coldly at his son, who was sitting there, staring at them in a daze.
Shen Nian immediately understood and crouched on the sofa. His small body curled up into a ball, and his muffled voice emerged. “I didn’t see anything. Carry on!”
“Did you hear that? Our son didn’t see anything.” Lian Jing proudly carried her back to his room.
The moment Shen Yin touched the soft bed, she immediately jumped up warily. Her body nimbly shrank to the corner of the wall and avoided Lian Jing’s big hand. “You, don’t go overboard. It’s not dark yet!”
“How did I go overboard?” Lian Jing casually glanced at the row of shopping bags on the table and stared at her strangely. “I just wanted to see what you took so long to buy. Why are you so nervous?”
Of course Shen Yin knew his true intentions. She immediately rolled her eyes and rebuked softly, “You make it sound so nice.”
“What did you say?” Lian Jing narrowed his eyes dangerously and reached out to pull her into his arms.
Fortunately, Shen Yin had been trained overseas, so she nimbly avoided him. She smiled and brought the shopping bag over for him to see, obviously wanting to change the topic.
Lian Jing snorted and did not expose her. He looked down and saw something in the bag. His eyes were filled with amusement again.
Lian Jing’s smile was strange, and Shen Yin felt that something was wrong. She lowered her head and realized that she had unintentionally brought back the lacy underwear that Li Zi had bought. She hurriedly explained helplessly, “This, this isn’t mine! I can’t wear it!”
