I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 588 Meeting
Alina’s eyes shifted toward him and paused.
He stood slightly apart from the others, his arms loosely at his sides, his expression calm and distant, as if none of this really concerned him. But there was something in the way he held himself, something in the stillness of his gaze, that suggested he was watching everything.
His icy blue eyes were striking, almost glowing under the sunlight, the kind of eyes that seemed to look through you rather than at you. His hair was snow white, falling softly around his face in waves that caught the light, and small, delicate horns of the same icy shade curved slightly from his head, catching the light like frost on glass.
An ice dragon.
She had heard of the ice dragon clans, ancient and powerful, living in the northern mountains where the snow never melted. She had never seen one up close.
She couldn’t help but admire how beautiful his features were, sharp and elegant, like something carved from winter itself. This child looked like he had stepped out of a painting, like he was CGI, like he belonged in a movie about frozen kingdoms and ancient magic.
She stared for perhaps a second too long.
"...Focus," she told herself quietly, dragging her attention back to the room. "You are a teacher. You have seen supernatural children before. Act normal."
Vlad Jr. glanced at the ice dragon boy, then back at his notebook, then at the ice dragon boy again. His expression didn’t change, but Alina noticed his pencil shifted slightly in his grip.
Meanwhile, Gabriel entered from the hallway, a small child bouncing along beside him.
"Ah, everyone is here," Gabriel said warmly, his usual easy smile in place. "Perfect timing."
Beside him stood a small boy with bright features, his presence light and fresh like spring itself, as if he carried sunshine in his pockets. His hair was the color of new leaves, soft and slightly messy, and on top of it, a small leaf swayed gently with his movements. His eyes were a cheerful green, bright and curious, taking in everything with obvious delight.
The moment he saw Alina, he grinned.
It was the kind of grin that lit up a room, the kind that made you smile back without thinking. Bright. Cute. Full of life.
"Teacher Alina!" he said happily, waving at her with both hands, his leaf bouncing with the movement. "You came! I came too! We both came!"
Alina smiled immediately, warmth spreading through her chest.
"Hello, Capi," she said gently, recognizing the little nature spirit. "It’s good to see you."
He bounced slightly on his feet, his leaf swaying.
"I came for meeting!" he announced proudly, his chest puffed out. "Sir said I could come because I am Class C representative! Very important job!"
"I can see that," Alina said. "You look very professional."
Capi nodded seriously, then looked around the room as if preparing himself for something very important. His eyes landed on the ice dragon boy, widened slightly, then moved to Marina, then to Vlad Jr., then back to the ice dragon boy again.
"Everyone looks very professional," he whispered loudly to Gabriel.
Gabriel chuckled. "They do."
Meanwhile, Vlad Jr. had already taken his seat.
He had chosen a spot near the middle of the table. He set his notebook down carefully, positioning it exactly in front of him, aligned with the edge of the table. He placed his pencil beside it, parallel to the spine. Then he sat back, his hands folded on the table, and looked around once.
Observing everyone. Assessing the room.
Alina watched him quietly for a moment, pride swelling in her chest.
He had prepared notes for three days. He had practiced his talking points with his mother. He had asked her yesterday if she thought his handwriting was neat enough for other teachers to read.
"...He really takes this seriously," she thought, a quiet smile on her face as she took her seat beside Vlad Jr.
Gabriel clapped his hands lightly, drawing everyone’s attention.
"Alright," he said, his voice carrying easily across the room. "Let’s begin."
He gestured to the seats.
"Everyone, please take your places. We have a lot to discuss, and I know you all have prepared well."
The children moved, chairs scraping, notebooks opening, pencils ready.
Vlad Jr. opened his own notebook to the first page, his notes waiting, his mind already running through the points he wanted to make.
Marina sat across from him, her posture perfect, her expression attentive.
The ice dragon boy took a seat at the end of the table, saying nothing, his eyes cool and distant.
Capi bounced into his chair, his leaf waving happily, looking ready to contribute at any moment.
Gabriel stood at the head of the table, his usual casual demeanor set aside for something more focused.
"First," he said, "let’s go around and introduce ourselves. Say your name, your class, and one idea you have for the events."
He looked at Capi first.
Capi sat up straight immediately.
"I am Capi!" he announced. "Class C! And I think we should have a flower planting competition! Who can grow the prettiest flower! With prizes!"
Gabriel nodded. "Good. We’ll note that."
He looked at the ice dragon boy next.
The boy’s eyes flickered toward Gabriel, calm and unhurried.
"...Cyrus," he said, his voice soft but clear. "Class A." He paused, as if deciding whether to continue. "The obstacle course should include ice elements. Balance. Precision. Not just speed."
Gabriel raised an eyebrow but nodded. "Interesting. We’ll discuss."
Then he looked at Marina.
Marina inclined her head slightly, elegant and composed.
"Marina, Class B. The water elements should have a role in both events. Plantation and Sports Day. We are not just for the ocean."
Gabriel smiled. "Of course."
Then he looked at Vlad Jr.
Vlad Jr. straightened slightly, his hands still folded on the table.
"Vlad Jr., Class D," he said, his voice steady. "I have several ideas organized by category."
Gabriel blinked. "...Several?"
