I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 329 Human teacher
Sable blinked, feeling his ears warm as the two girls gasped in awe. "W-wow... really?" one whispered, her fins fluttering in excitement.
Sable rubbed his hands nervously but nodded. "Y-yeah... a little," he said softly. His voice was so quiet it was nearly drowned out by Boo’s distant cheerleading in the background.
Arielle, completely unbothered by his shyness, shoved a tiny blue shovel into his hand and picked up a pearly pink bucket herself. "Here!" she said cheerfully. "You dig! I’ll scoop! And then we’ll make the biggest castle ever—big enough for your shadows to live in too!"
Sable’s eyes widened in surprise, then softened with shy happiness. "O-okay," he said quietly, crouching beside her as she started piling sand into the bucket with dramatic flair, humming a little tune that sounded like sea waves.
"More sand, Sable!" Arielle said, bossing him around sweetly. "We need tall walls and a sparkly top! You’re in charge of shadows—make them help!"
Sable giggled, his shadows swirling around the sand like tiny ribbons, gently shaping towers and smooth walls. The other mermaid girls squealed in delight as the castle took form, glowing faintly under the water’s soft light.
"See?" Arielle grinned proudly, tossing her hair back. "Told you we’d make the biggest castle!"
Sable smiled shyly, his small hands brushing over the sand tower. "It’s really pretty..."
Arielle looked at him, her pink eyes sparkling. "It’s not just pretty," she said in her sing-song accent. "It’s ours."
With that, she placed a shiny pink shell on the very top like a crown, while Sable’s shadows wrapped gently around the base, protecting their little underwater castle.

The moment Alina realized she’d been surrounded, she nearly laughed out of surprise. A circle of the most breathtaking sea women had gathered around her—mermaids with tails shimmering like jewels, others with scales glimmering over their arms, and even a few whose translucent fins fluttered like silk sleeves. Each had curious, wide eyes fixed entirely on her.
"You’re the human teacher, right?" one asked, her voice echoing like bubbles underwater.
"You’re human?" another gasped, her finned hands pressed to her mouth in fascination.
Before Alina could answer, a third leaned forward, her violet eyes sparkling. "Is it true?" she whispered dramatically. "That human men are all pretty and emotional?"
Alina blinked, caught completely off guard. "Uh... yeah?" she said uncertainly, her smile wavering as she wondered where this was going.
The group erupted into excited chatter, tails swishing and pearls jingling.
"Hehehe! I knew it!" one mermaid squealed, clasping her hands dreamily. "We read it in the old stories! A human man comes sailing on a big ship, there’s a storm, and the ship sinks! Then a beautiful mermaid saves him, he opens his eyes, sees her glow like moonlight, and he falls madly in love! Then he builds her a palace on land, and they live happily ever after!"
Several sighed dreamily, clutching their hearts.
Alina’s lips twitched as she tried not to laugh. "Well... that’s actually a really popular tale in the human world too," she said with a gentle smile.
The mermaids gasped, eyes sparkling as if she had just confirmed a holy prophecy.
"Then it’s true!" one said excitedly, turning to her friend. "We just need to find a human ship!"
"No, no, no," another said firmly, swishing her long turquoise hair. "We need to find a handsome one—with soft eyes and an emotional heart! That’s what the book says!"
Alina covered her mouth to hide her laughter. "Books say that, huh?" 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Then, one particularly bold mermaid leaned in, her grin mischievous. "Then, teacher, maybe you bring your most emotional best friend here and throw him into the water! If he survives, he’s mine!"
The group burst into laughter, their voices rippling through the hall like a chorus of bells. Alina couldn’t help joining in, her cheeks aching from smiling.
Soon their questions became endless—about the human world, about food, about fashion, and, of course, about men. Every question was more curious and innocent than the last, and though Alina could barely keep up, she found herself genuinely enjoying their company.
They were charming, funny, and full of that same wonder her own students had—only these ones had fins, pearls, and far too much curiosity about romance.
"Why are you all so interested in human men, though?" Alina asked curiously, her tone half amused and half genuinely puzzled. "I mean, I’ve seen some quite fine and stunning mermen around here—they look far more beautiful than any human man I’ve ever seen."
The group of sea women exchanged knowing looks before one of them giggled, her pearly earrings jingling softly. "Well... we’re used to seeing beauty every day," she said, resting her chin in her delicate palm. "Down here, everyone shines. Beauty isn’t rare—it’s like sea salt, everywhere around us. We don’t care about looks anymore. We want heart. Someone who can love us, who can struggle with us, who doesn’t give up when tides get rough."
Another mermaid nodded solemnly, her fins fluttering like ribbons. "Exactly. You can’t fall in love with a reflection forever. Sometimes you want someone who bleeds, cries, and still chooses you."
Their words made Alina smile softly, her heart warmed by their sincerity. "So true," she said gently. "In the end, what matters isn’t how someone looks, but how they make you feel."
The mermaids sighed dreamily, their eyes glimmering like sunlight through water. One clasped her hands dramatically. "See? Even humans agree! I knew love is about the story, not just the sparkle!"
Another mermaid twirled her hair and said wistfully, "If only someone would struggle for me like that... I’d give him my whole heart, all my pearls, and half my coral comb collection!"
Alina laughed, shaking her head as the group giggled around her.
"Well, human Alina, are you single?" one of the mermaids suddenly asked, her fins fluttering with excitement as a playful grin spread across her lips. "If you like any of the mermen here, don’t be shy—just ask them out!" Her eyes sparkled mischievously, and the others instantly broke into giggles.
Another leaned in closer, whispering behind her hand, "They’re all good-hearted... well, mostly." She paused, her tone dropping into mock seriousness. "You just have to be careful—some mermen are charming on the surface but cunning like sea eels underneath."
A few others gasped dramatically, covering their mouths as if she had shared a forbidden secret.
"Oh, hush, Nerida!" one of them said with a laugh. "You’re only saying that because that jellyfish-haired poet tricked you into helping him write love songs!"
