I Awakened as an SSS-Rank System Maker!-Chapter 54 - Rounds and Rounds
Chapter 54 - Rounds and Rounds
The final match of the second round loomed on the horizon. The arena was electric. Tension thickened like a rising pressure.
Planet Venus.
It once held second place in the old system and had gained a reputation as feared as it was admired. The warriors of Venus weren’t merely fighters—they were artists. Their movements were poetry incarnate: graceful, precise, and terrifying. Each of them embodied the essence of beauty in destruction. They smiled, but those smiles were far from friendly...
And standing opposite them, their challengers: Planet Sitra the embodiment of stealth and unpredictability. Masters of concealment, they wore no armor, only flowing, lightweight garments. Silent, smooth, their presence barely surpassed a whisper...
A voice rang out from the crowd as Sitra’s fighters stepped into the ring, their movements so fluid they seemed to vanish into thin air:
"You won’t even realize you’re dead... until everything is over."
The second Sitra fighter added, his eyes narrowed, analytical:
"Death... is at its finest when it creeps in slowly."
The audience shuddered as the announcer’s voice cut through the air, sharp and decisive:
"And now... let the final match of the round begin!"
Venus’s fighters moved with captivating elegance. Each step, each motion, flowed seamlessly into the next. Their bodies glided across the battlefield with lethal grace every gesture a prelude to the violence to come. They weren’t just striking they were coaxing death into form.
But Sitra wasn’t deceived. They didn’t join the dance of ruin. Instead, they vanished into shadows, their presence a flicker of motion. In the blink of an eye, they would disappear and reappear elsewhere, always out of reach...
Poison began to seep into the air, wafting like delicate toxic clouds. A psychic pulse rippled across the arena, disorienting anyone who tried to focus. Every step felt like it could be the last. And then before a Venus warrior could retaliate a thin, barely visible cut slashed across a Sitra fighter’s side.
Moments later, the first Sitra combatant collapsed, his body convulsing as deadly venom surged through his veins. He didn’t even have time to scream.
The second Sitra fighter didn’t hesitate. He lunged forward to retaliate. But... the fight was already over for him too.
Venus had predicted it. They had danced with Sitra’s deception, lurking, waiting for the perfect moment. One Venus warrior moved like a flash, ensnaring his opponent in an airborne web of curved light. The Sitra fighter struggled to breathe as toxins filled his lungs... but it was too late.
Sitra were masters of stealth, but Venus... they were masters of timing.
"The winners... Planet Venus!" the announcer’s voice boomed.
The arena exploded. The crowd couldn’t contain themselves—their roars soared to the skies. But amidst the chaos, Lucas remained still.
He sat in a corner of the treatment wing, a place that had become both a refuge and a prison over the past few hours. His body ached, his hands wrapped in thick bandages.
The screen before him flickered, replaying the battle he had just witnessed. Venus, with their unstoppable elegance. Sitra, with their deadly finesse...
"Solar will be the hardest opponent..." he muttered, voice barely audible. His eyes never left the screen.
–
The arena buzzed with hushed anticipation. The crowd’s roar had quieted somewhat, but the air was charged with a tension that could erupt at any second. The tournament’s final round approached rapidly but before that, a spectacle worth watching awaited.
Cameras zoomed in on the upper balconies of the grand arena those gleaming heights overlooking the battlefields. And there they were... four figures, standing tall and proud.
The first to emerge from the shadows was the ruler of Planet Solar. His presence alone overshadowed everything. He was cloaked in living flame, fire dancing around him, blazing with unbearable destructive heat. The air seemed to shrink around his passage, shimmering with the intensity of his heat, the ground beneath his feet quietly burning with every step.
And when he spoke, his voice was low... dangerous, like a flaming note bearing the weight of a thousand suns:
"Those who do not burn..."His sharp gaze swept across the crowd, his eyes glowing like twin molten spheres,"...do not deserve to remain."
His words were fire, searing their meaning into the hearts of all who heard them. There was no mercy in his tone, no hesitation in his speech. It was a declaration of dominance. His planet’s power was absolute, and any who stood in its way... would turn to ash.
Next came the ruler of Planet Venus a woman whose beauty was as deadly as it was mesmerizing. She walked with the grace of a dancer, every motion flowing with precision, dressed in a shimmering gown that changed color with each step. It flowed like water, casting moving shadows in every direction. But what truly captivated were her eyes green as poison, sharp as blades.
She smiled... a charming, yet lethal smile. One that promised both pleasure and pain.
She spoke in a sweet voice, layered with an icy undertone:
"The dance has yet to begin..." she whispered, like a breeze brushing against the skin,"But a little blood... sets the rhythm."
Her words were a warning a dark prelude to the beauty of the destruction to come. Planet Venus was known for its graceful, calculated warriors. They didn’t strike randomly, but wove violence with threads of precision. A refined game of death...
Then came the ruler of Planet Terata. He spoke not a word, nor did he need to. His mere appearance silenced the entire arena. He was like a towering mountain, his massive body clad in a pulsating organic armor. The armor was part of him a weapon as much as it was protection.
When he raised his hand, total silence fell. No cheers. No whispers. Just complete stillness. Even the announcer held his breath...
The audience collectively inhaled, waiting for anything anything but the ruler remained silent. His eyes spoke volumes louder than any words.
And finally, the ruler of Planet Tian appeared. His presence was just as imposing, but it was his aura that commanded attention. He wore a sleek silver suit...
He didn’t speak. He didn’t smile. But when his eyes locked with those of the Terata ruler, it felt as though the entire world had stopped breathing. The tension between them was so palpable it might as well have had weight.
The Terata ruler showed no overt reaction, but the faint shift in his posture the subtle tension in his muscles was enough to tell a story no words ever could.
