I Am Tired Of Being A Hero-Chapter 293: Battling Zero Part 3
"There should be no problems during this mission." The gentle voice echoed around Zero, even though he could not see the person and he knew not to trust other immortals, the voice made him feel an unpreceded kind of safety.
"My Lord, rest assured if there are any issues, I will take care of it."
There was a soft sigh and something appeared in front of him, it was a glowing gem. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
"If something should happen, this gem should take you to the Hana Realm. There is a place where you can stay for as long as you want."
Zero could feel the sincerity in the voice, this kind of naivety and purity would only come from a born immortal.
Zero had never seen a gem like that but he could tell that it was extremely powerful. He touched it and felt a cool and refreshing stream of air suffuse his entire body. Just touching the gem had a marvelous effect on his cultivation.
This mission might be luck coming on his side one more.
Since the day he had seen Ravi West, Zero had taken out the gem several times. He had ascended to the Immortal world more than 300 years ago and learned about Sentinel.
While some snidely referred to them as the war dogs of the Immortal Realm, their power could not be underestimated.
And yet it still seems like he underestimated the strength of the Number One Sentinel. It was truly unfair, he had started it in a low-rank realm and had suffered for a hundred years to ascend, and yet his strength could not compare to someone who had lived for a mere five hundred years.
He poured his last spiritual power into the gem and smiled. One Second.
Zero suddenly heard the cry of his soul-bound creature, the black crow. It had been growing weak even since he stepped into this world for some reason.
When he gets to Hana, he can relax and treat the Crow.
Ah! Something was wrong. He felt a sense of fear like nothing he had felt before in his life.
Ravi suddenly felt an intense feeling of danger and he vanished, appearing several meters away.
Zero instantly grew old, and his eyes faded. It was like a wind had blown over to extinguish his life.
One Second.
Boom.
[Kill Confirmed! Mission Ecbk 245 has been completed] The Sentinel System sounded in his mind.
The body of Zero exploded right in front of his eyes but before Ravi could think more about why there were no remains. The weather above changed.
Suddenly, the sky darkened even more, clouds swirling ominously. The dark clouds rolled as crimson-red lightning surged within them. Large bolts of lightning that surged within the clouds seemed like wriggling pythons.
Rumble.
They emitted an extremely terrifying aura that caused one’s heart to palpitate.
Malik and Anouk. Ravi bit his lips but rather than moving towards them, he vanished, appearing in the dimension that Zero had created.
The small inkling that Ravi had been correct. Even if Zero had self-detonated, his dimension should take at least a hundred years to disintegrate depending on how strong he was but it was already chaos.
A jagged streak of lightning curved through the darkened clouds. The earth was scorching and dry like life was rapidly leaving it.
He looked at the distance and appeared there, unlike the chaos around them. These small areas were calm, the storm held back and the violent winds stopped mid-howl.
As Ravi arrived, the last child, a little bald monk was passing through the gate that Arlen opened.
"Thank you, Ma’am" Ravi greeted the cold woman in military uniform who was standing at the gate. Stopping a dimension from collapsing was still far off from Arlen’s strength.
In fact, there were very few people in this world who could do it and out of the three of them, two of them were Sinclairs, one of which was his boyfriend’s mother `who was standing in front of him.
"I said you should call me Auntie."
Ravi called her Auntie obediently, as he looked left and right. He could tell that Arlen was at the other side of the gate. Where was his lover?
"Have you dealt with the Intruder?"
Ravi nodded, "Yes!"
"And you also defeated the Infernal Covenant; they had been a huge pain for a long time. Thank you! The Superhero association will contact you for your reward." Even though her words were strict, her eyes rummaged Ravi’s body making sure that he was not injured.
Ravi swallowed and waved his hand, "No, No. No need for any reward."
"Are you planning to leave?" Her eyes were so much like her children, so blue as she looked at Ravi. An alien intruder, tens of Nests erupting through Avalon, and a young man who had killed the Infernal Covenant like they were a bunch of insects.
When they had gotten the video feedback at the Command Station, the entire room had gone silent and Lysandra began to make her way here. The chill in the young man’s eyes made her concern for her son grow even more.
Nothing about this situation was native to their planet.
"Don’t dare make Arlen fall in love with you and not take responsibility. I don’t care how strong you are, I would find you, Ravi West."
Ravi was quiet for a second, "I won’t leave, Auntie. My family is here. Everything I want is here in this world," There was Arlen, Ash, Sage, Lana, and Malik. Where would he go to?
Ash has not even graduated from school.
Malik, his tribulation had come.
"Good. We will talk after everything has been resolved." She headed towards the gate and then looked back at Ravi, there was pride and acceptance in her gaze, ’Welcome to the Sinclair Family.’
Ravi smiled and a warm feeling filled his chest, "Thank you."
He moved through the gate, closing his eyes and letting his energy destroy the dimension as he did so.
Arlen was suddenly pouncing on him and tightly embracing him.
"We did it."
His lips pressed against Ravi’s and they felt so right.
