I Am Tired Of Being A Hero-Chapter 258: Massage
Chapter 258: Massage
Ravi yawned before he burrowed into the blanket and then he heard a chuckle.
A deep amused chuckle made his body shiver deliciously and he tried to turn around to face the voice.
His dropping eyes widened and he groaned. Ravi was wrecked. Respectfully wrecked.
"Good morning, love."
Ravi groaned again, reaching for the pillow and throwing it towards Arlen.
"Okay. Someone decided to begin this beautiful day with domestic violence. Do..."
Arlen stopped, as if he saw something in Ravi’s face. He looked a little guilty and he moved into the bed to pull down the blanket.
Yesterday, it had been Ravi who refused to stop, seducing him and asking for another round and then another, it was as if once they started, it was impossible for them to stop.
Arlen took the entire blame on his head, "It is my entire fault." He kissed the seal tattoo on Ravi’s back, "I got a little crazy." He had rubbed some salve yesterday after cleaning Ravi up but it seemed to be no use.
"Sorry, love." He repeated as he took out an even stronger balm and rubbed his hands together.
Ravi’s ears were a little red as he lay on the pillow. He had so thoroughly enjoyed himself this morning that he could not blame his lover.
"Slower!"
Arlen, who was massaging Ravi’s buttocks, paused and then nodded, "Yes, Sire."
Ravi rolled his eyes, he had also discovered Arlen’s love for role-play. Not discovered, well, he knew but he did not know they were so...unique.
"Banish all X-rated thoughts from your mind, Min-sol. Today is a busy day. It is already 11 a.m." The massage on his buttocks was so relaxing that Ravi yawned; it was making him feel sleepy.
"Check your messages." Arlen said.
Ravi could not hear him but he could recognize the pride in his voice, so he stretched his hand and reached for his phone that was on the nightstand.
’Ravi, you don’t need to come back at all this week. Just relax in Arlen’s house.’ That one was from Sage and Ravi raised an eyebrow. He does not usually call Arlen, Arlen, not in their private correspondence at least.
’This is a beneficial relationship. I now support it."
Ravi rolled his eyes when he read Lana’s message. Does that mean that all this time, she had not supported their relationship but her message was the one that gave him the most insight on what happened?
"I am always open to learning more. What did you two do yesterday night that made the Captain so generous today? *** or is it ****, I myself like a good *******." The red on Ravi’s ears spread so quickly that his cheeks looked like a tomato. He gripped the phone so tightly that and had to stop himself several times from flinging it across the room.
"Malik?" Arlen asked amused as he saw Ravi’s reaction.
Ravi gritted his teeth, "For his birthday, we need to get him a voucher."
"For a therapist?"
"No. A psychiatrist. A whole board of them."
Arlen chuckled and Ravi scrolled to read Asher’s text message.
"Good morning, Ravi. I slept over at Sage’s yesterday night. How are you? Is your friend feeling better? Breakfast was lovely today. Thank Arlen for us. Today is the card finals, don’t forget."
Ravi’s smile could split his chin. Even though he was not the one who gave birth to Asher, he felt that pride in his chest and the urge to show off. Whose child could be as cute and loving as his?
He turned around to show Arlen the message and Arlen bit his lips so as not to burst out laughing. Just see the smug look on Ravi’s face; one would think that Ash just broke a world record in some kind of sport.
"So polite. You have done a good job."
Ravi hummed like he was saying, no, no, it was not hard at all, when he was actually saying, yes, praise me some more.
He was really so cute.
"You ordered food for them," Ravi asked and Arlen grinned.
"Better. I sent a private chef over."
"To Harlem."
"As long as you pay, Mr Bernard would go anywhere to cook."
Ravi laughed, that sugary sweetness in his heart rearing its head again.
"Thank you." He said softly and Arlen’s cheeks colored for a second. He coughed.
"So the card finals."
Ravi nodded, "We had a card tournament, and the winner would say what happened to the mango tree. It is almost ready for harvest. We should have played the final since but we have been postponing the match because of the case."
"High stakes."
"Very high. Ash needs me to win. He wants to make smoothies. And Sage wants Malik so he can mess with Ash."
"Malik, the psychic who can read minds."
"Are you saying that you don’t believe that I could win?" freёweɓnovel.com
"Never." Arlen said immediately, "My boyfriend is the strongest and most amazing."
"Mmh." Ravi’s lips twitched, "He can’t read my mind. As Sentinels, we were trained in mental defense. Aside from our normal missions, we mostly fought demons and they were masters at beguiling minds. So mental shields are a must-have for Sentinels to survive."
"I am torn between ’that is so amazing’ and ’Demons;’?"
Ravi laughed.
"You believe Immortals are easy and you have a problem with Demons."
Arlen’s strong fingers have gone from his buttocks to his waist, moving them in sure strokes.
Ravi let out a groan before he could help himself.
"I am not sure you want me to associate this sound with our talk on Demons. No matter how delicious the sound is."
"Shut up."
Ravi said as he buried his head on the pillow. Arlen’s hands were truly magic and Ravi found himself melting into a relaxed state that bordered on drugged.
"Maybe because the idea of a person who lives forever, above human desires, and is good is nicer to think about."
"There is not much difference," Ravi whispered.
"Between Demons and Immortals." Arlen’s tone was skeptical.
Ravi understood his disbelief and knew what he was saying was treasonous to The Sentinels who had protected Immortals since the moment they were created.
"I know it sounds crazy but what matters to the two of them is the same thing. Cultivation. Demons cultivate through the destruction of things and so they do everything they can to destroy, the more despair, the stronger they are. Immortals cultivate through creation and preservation, so they do everything to save people, the more faith, the stronger they are. Of course, it is mostly ascended immortals but they are still immortals."
"You don’t have much faith in them."
"No. I don’t."
"Do you hate them?"
Ravi shook his head; it was like hating the sun for shining too much or the moon for not shining at all. Many born immortals are born into mandates by the heavens. Guarding the four Realms, minding the Six Paths of Reincarnation, the Seven Gates, and the Netherworld. They have roles and mandates to spend eternity by.
"When Nathan Kim dies, he will be judged by the Netherworld Officials and he will be punished for his crimes. Does that not put you at ease? How can I hate them? I just don’t like associating with them, for my...mental health."
