I am the Zombie King of the Apocalyptic World-Chapter 2050 - 2043: Second Reunion
"What... what are you trying to do?" Tang Ye stammered, his words silent.
He clearly saw Ning Yuβer coming towards him! π§πβ―ππππππ°π·π¦π.πΈβ΄π
"No! Stop! Go back!" he shouted, still without sound, as her footsteps didnβt halt.
"No!" In an instant, all anger was quenched, leaving only helplessness.
"You canβt come over! Go! Go away!"
"Hurry up!"
The shouting grew louder, but no one heard.
"I donβt need you! Go!"
Tang Ye wanted to control his body, to move it farther, to keep Ning Yuβer from approaching, but his body was no longer his own, as if his limbs had been severed and thrown into the sea. No matter how hard he tried, his body wouldnβt do anything he wanted, only helplessly watching himself sink, the oceanβs surface growing ever blurry, losing that sense of distance.
"No!"
He already knew what she was going to do; she was going to help him complete the final activation, enabling him to transform!
But, but... he couldnβt accept it!
Itβs not just her; thereβs a northern Zombie King, it can! It can help him replenish! He doesnβt need her!
He looked at the northern Zombie King; that guy was far away, despite not knowing what it was doing.
"Come here! I order you to come!"
"I command you to come here!" He shouted loudly at the Zombie King, but it did not obey his will and approach; instead, the distance between him and Ning Yuβer continued closing!
"No! I must stop!"
"Stop! Quickly stop!"
He dared not remain inert; what victory and defeat? To hell with them!
Tang Ye was nearly frenzied, trying to regain control of his body but without success. Time passed slowly, his heart growing more panicked and desperate!
"I canβt lose anymore; go back! Ah!!!"
In utter helplessness, he screamed just as before, wildly and desperately, grinding his sanity to dust!
"Stop, I command you to stop!"
He ordered his own body, still to no effect.
She grew closer; must he watch her die by his hand?
No! That canβt happen!
Absolutely not!
Tang Ye began to plead, not to any deity, but to himself!
Yet without knowing why, he seemed unable to recall his own name...
"Li Henian, I beg you, stop!"
"Where are you people? All of you, stop for me!"
"Stop! Li Henian!"
"Damn it, stop for me!!"
Voices echoed in his mind, his own voice, each more heart-wrenching than the last!
He felt as though his soul was about to be engraved into his obsession, and that obsession was to make himself stop!
But those voices only echoed in his mind; externally, no one could hear his voice!
So, he grew crazier, shouting, yelling desperately!
Ah!!!
He kept shouting! Shouting until he had no strength left! Even without strength, trying to make the decibel climb in increments!
Never stopping!
Making the sound grow louder!
Crazed!
He just wanted the outside world to hear his voice!
Stop!
All of you stop for me!
"Stop! Ah! Ah! Ah!!!"
In the blurry view, in that moment Yuβer rushed into the influence circle and flew up, he lived!
In the massive vortex of blood and flesh, half of Tang Yeβs body squeezed out, but his body was as if starved and frozen for years amid chaos, with sallow skin and a bony frame!
At the critical moment, he opened his wooden-branch-like arms, tightly gripping the other!
"No... you canβt..." His voice was hoarse like the crackling of an old tape in a radio, losing the supposed eerie charm of Zombie King Tang Ye, only resembling a hungry ghost crawling from hell!
Suffering the torment of eighteen levels of hell, emerging just to grasp the one who was about to leave.
His vacant gaze fixated on her; she froze, her eyes wide in shock for a few seconds, unable to suppress the tears at the corners of her eyes, streaming down her pale cheeks, falling towards the ground.
"You... why..."
"For what am I doing this? You said it; for us to live together in the future! Itβs all for you! Go back! Iβve lost more than enough! Go back!"
His words carried madness and pleading; she said nothing, shook her head, and reached to touch his hollowed-out cheek.
"Leave, listen to me, donβt come near me. I will succeed, I will kill them all, I will tear them apart! Then... once everything is over, weβll go somewhere far, live our own lives, alright?" Tang Ye tried hard to suppress his emotions, using a calm tone to persuade her.
Upon hearing this, Ning Yuβerβs arm stiffened, a light shimmer in her eyes "Really?"
"Yes, really, Iβm about to succeed!"
"Youβre not lying to me?"
"No!"
Ning Yuβer quieted down, but Tang Ye grew even more anxious inside, afraid of being discovered lying!
"Go down, you donβt have to sacrifice yourself." Tang Ye tried to pull her away but was quickly steadied by her.
He saw her eyes fixed on him, earnestly asking: "Say it again, you didnβt lie to me, youβll definitely succeed?"
"Yes! I will definitely succeed!"
"You said it; Iβm telling you, if you die, Iβll go to hell to find you!" Saying this, Ning Yuβerβs face showed a hint of ferocity, completely unlike the girl he once met.
Tang Ye froze; her face almost written with "You know if you lied, but Iβm not joking!"
If he dies, she dies along too, whatβs the point of that!
He hesitated, but that brief hesitation let her see the clue.
"Youβre lying to me!"
"I..." Tang Ye panicked, subconsciously tightening his grip on her hand.
But being able to squeeze out this half body from the vortex already consumed all available strength. His current strength wasnβt what it used to be.
Feeling the force from her hand, Ning Yuβer glanced at the dwindling zombie horde below, finally sighed, not angry, softly saying: "Do you trust me?"
"I donβt trust you!" Tang Ye didnβt think deeply, immediately roaring loudly as her words dropped, wanting to dispel those bad thoughts from her mind.
But clearly, his desperation did not make her change her mind; he watched her shake her head at him: "No, you must trust me, we will meet again, promise me, live well, drive them away."
"I donβt trust you! Stay farther away!"
"I know Iβm the last one left, itβs fine, we really will meet again, someday..."
"I donβt believe you, nor do I believe in any next life! You now, immediately! Get out!"
"Not in the next life, okay?"
Her tone was gentle now, and Tang Ye didnβt know if she truly had that confidence or was feigning it, but he had no time to listen, gripping tightly with all remaining strength!
Yet ultimately she still broke free, with an unreadable slight smile, slowly drifting into the vortexβs center.
"Goodbye, Zombie King..."
Her voice disappeared from his ears, then her body was shredded in the vortexβs violent spinning!
Tang Ye stared blankly, his mind momentarily blank.
