I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO-Chapter 643: Kiss on the Lips (Part 1)
Liliana Davis looked at her son’s weary face, feeling a pang of sympathy, she pressed her lips together, stepped forward, and hugged him.
"Earlier... Mommy’s attitude wasn’t great, please don’t be upset."
"It’s okay."
Nathan Leafcastle gently embraced his mother, holding her shoulder and back.
He also understood that this time, with the ministerial election scandal, the pressure on Liliana Davis was indeed considerable.
Sally Dalton got out of the car, walked up the steps, and seeing the embracing mother and son, she let out a big sigh of relief.
"You two must be hungry, right? Should I make some noodles for you?"
The mother and son released each other, and Nathan Leafcastle smiled and said.
"I’ll do it."
"I can still manage cooking some noodles."
The three of them walked into the house together. Sally Dalton headed for the kitchen, while Liliana Davis pulled her son into the living room and nodded in the direction of the kitchen.
"Sally is really a good girl, you must cherish her!"
Nathan Leafcastle nodded.
"I’ll go check on her."
With that, he also walked into the kitchen.
In the kitchen, Sally Dalton had already started boiling water and was opening a pack of instant noodles.
This box of noodles was something she specially brought from Singapore, it was his favorite flavor.
The girl was still wearing her home wear, but on her feet were hastily worn high heels for going out, making for a somewhat mismatched appearance.
The Sally Dalton in memory would never be like this; she was always elegantly and appropriately dressed. Wearing home clothes out would have been impossible for the old her, showing how rushed she must have been leaving the house.
Stepping forward, Nathan Leafcastle took the instant noodles from her hand and helped open the seal.
"Thank you."
Sally Dalton smiled and expressed her thanks.
The man reached out, took her wrist, pulled her into an embrace, and held her tight.
"It’s me who should be thanking you."
"Why so polite with me?" she said, raising her hand to encircle his waist, gently resting her face on his shoulder, "Auntie is really under a lot of pressure from being framed this time, please try to understand her more."
"Hmm." Nathan Leafcastle gently nodded, "I’m already investigating this matter, and if someone is indeed framing her deliberately, I will not allow it."
Patting him gently on the back, Sally Dalton looked up with a smile.
"Go on, take a shower upstairs, then come down to eat noodles."
Gazing at the girl’s smile, Nathan Leafcastle raised his hand to hold her cheek, leaned down towards her, his eyes gliding over her forehead, and finally, the kiss landed on her lips.
A very light and brief touch, yet it made Sally Dalton’s heart race.
Since that night, Sally Dalton had been staying at Nathan Leafcastle’s place, but since that night, he hadn’t touched her, even when everyone teased them during their engagement, he would only kiss her on the cheek.
This was the first time in years that he had kissed her lips.
"I’ll go take a shower first!"
Nathan Leafcastle stood up straight, smiled at her, and turned to go upstairs.
Sally Dalton raised her hand to touch her lips where he had kissed, a happy smile playing on her lips.
With sincerity, nothing is impossible; she always hoped that one day he would realize her presence, and it seemed that day wasn’t far off now.

City Headquarters.
With Lucille Matthias’s help, Kris Cooper easily obtained the old files of the Walter Wave case from back then.
Sitting in the archives, he carefully flipped through the files in his hands, reading line by line, word by word.
"Here!" Lucille Matthias returned, placing a bottle of mineral water by his side, "Have some water!"
