"No! We can't do this. It is treason to the Royal Court of Eldoria." Caterina said.

Jude placed his hand on Caterina, "If we don't, we won't be able to cure you, my love."

"Please, Jude. Don't do this. We can't betray our kingdom."

"Caterina..."

Jude looked over to Kynidus. The swords master kept drinking his ale.

"I think you should talk with each other before deciding." Kynidus said.

Jude nodded, "Would you please excuse us for a few days, Master Hephaestius? I will discuss the issue with my wife."

Kynidus made a gesture of agreement.

Jude quickly left with Caterina, probably going somewhere more private to discuss.

Siderius squinted his eyes. It wasn't any of his business. But he wanted to influence their decision.

One less witch would be one less obstacle in the future for him. He intended to wipe them all out of Eldoria.

"Why did you agree to teach Jude, Master Hephaestius?" Siderius said.

"I can't say no to a helpless man in love." Kynidus drank the ale.

"I will be leaving soon, Master Hephaestius."

"You don't want to train here?"

"It's not about that. I am grateful for your teachings. But the Anu Style is not my path. I will create my own path. And to do that, I need to know more Spirit Styles."

Kynidus nodded approvingly, "I see. I have taught many men. Some went on to become famous and respected. Some became cutthroats and died in unknown alleys.

Only you want to create your own style. I can't help but root for you, Satterblade.

May I ask for a favor?"

"Yes?"

"If you are able to create a new style, come and show me."

"Certainly, Master Hephaestius."

With that, Siderius began packing. He came over to Quinlan and asked if he would like to come with Siderius.

"You still want to meet other Masters?" Quinlan widened his eyes.

Siderius nodded, "I need to know more about Spirit Arts."

"I see. It's a shame I won't be able to accompany you this time. I need to stay here and learn the Anu Style."

"I respect it. I hope you will become a great swordsman, Quinlan. Once you reach Silver Soul, come to Santa Roberto. I'll personally graft the mutation for you."

"Good luck on your journey, Siderius."

Siderius and Ashe left the castle the next day. They left before the sun was getting up.

After Master Hephaestius, there were two other Masters that Siderius could visit. Regulus Minorius, the lone wanderer, and Basilus Adracius, the honorable knight.

Regulus was the nearest to Siderius so he went to him first.

Regulus stayed inside a dense forest. The location of his house was a mystery. People knew the general area he was at but not the exact location of his house.

"So... This is the Thorn Basin."

Siderius rode Red while Ashe rode her own horse. They stopped in front of a dense forest with razor-sharp vines circling at the edge of the forest.

"It seems to be so, Master. A forest with a natural thorn fence at the edge."

"Our horses can't go on anymore."

Siderius jumped off Red. "Take care of Elise, alright?"

Red replied with a long neigh. Elise was the name of Ashe's horse. The two horses rode away on the grassland. They're creatures of the wild and Red was pretty smart, there should be no problem with them surviving in the wild. Lycan was also with them so there should be nothing that could endanger the horses.

Siderius and Ashe approached the Thorn Basin. The white hunter used <Piryo> to burn down an area of the thorn vines and got inside.

The Thorn Basin was a valley with the ground slowly lowering to the middle. Its forest was extremely green. Much greener than any other forest or woods Siderius had seen.

Ashe picked up a leaf and examined it. The green color seemed like it wanted to pop out of the leaf. A faint gentle smell of nature filled the air.

"This place feels so refreshing. When I grow old, I want to stay somewhere like this." Ashe said.

"Maybe that's why the sword master picked this place as well."

The pair continued on the forest and went deeper into the basin.

After a while, they could feel the trees crowding around them. The forest sang a dangerous humming song.

Ashe lifted her head up and listened to the wing.

"Am I hallucinating or do the winds sound like they're singing, Master?"

"You're not hallucinating. The spirit of this forest is very active."

Siderius stepped in front of the trees, "We mean no harm. We come here to find Master Minorius."

A face appeared on a tree. It looked at Siderius.

"You have a blessing from our kind. You are our guest. Follow the path to Regulus."

The trees moved and created a single path deeper into the forest.

"Should we go, Master?"

"Of course. Forest Spirits rarely play games."

The pair of teacher and student went deeper.

In the middle of the Basin was a large clear lake. The water was so clean that Siderius could see the bottom of the lake from the shore.

One lonely house stood at the lake shore. A small wooden cabin with a large drying pole in the front. There were some carved statues laying around as well.

Siderius and Ashe approached the house.

"I haven't seen a visitor for quite a while." A voice echoed from inside the house. The door opened by itself.

Siderius entered the house without any hesitation while Ashe was looking around before entering.

Inside, a man with dark hair that bloomed around his head like a hedgehog.

"Master Minorius." Siderius said.

"And you must be the guests that the forest told me about."

Regulus poured some tea into two small cups that he had already prepared. He knew they were coming.

"Please make yourself at home." Regulus pointed at the chairs.

Siderius and Ashe sat down.

"You must know why I'm here already." Siderius said.

"Tea?" Regulus said.

"Much obliged."

The tea was just hot enough with a taste of natural bitterness.

"It's nice." Siderius said.

Regulus smiled. "I know you are here for me to teach you."

"Not exactly. I want to make my own style. And I need more Spirit Art to do that."

"Oh? Many men and women came to me for power. You're the first one that came to me for something different.

Knowledge..."
