I Am the Only Fertile Woman in the Game-Chapter 46 Her Plan
Qiao Suisui absorbed this information, unable to believe that Ash, who gave her that naive kiss and always thought of ways to make her laugh, could take such a step…
"What will happen to him?"
Ruka’s pale eyes grew darker, his voice deep, "If he wins, his position will be neither legitimate nor recognized, and his future path will be difficult; if he loses, he will be beyond redemption."
Qiao Suisui exhaled a long breath, feeling unbearably heavy in her heart.
Ruka hesitated for a moment, but still asked, "Suisui, is the child you’re carrying Leberli’s?"
She nodded.
"Does he know?"
She bit her lip, then shook her head.
Ruka was silent for a few seconds, then took her hand and held it.
"Don’t worry, whether Leberli loses or wins, I will take care of this child."
Qiao Suisui’s eyes reddened slightly, and she would be lying if she said she wasn’t moved. Ruka’s tenderness and reliability were what she had felt ever since she came to this otherworldly place; she could no longer simply treat him as a flat character in a game.
She gripped his hand back, sniffed, and with a determined look, she spoke her most genuine thoughts.
"Ruka, I don’t want to go back with you to the Sikoses main family."
...
Two hours later, Qiao Suisui arrived at the two-story building she and Lanze were interested in.
Ruka, carrying a temperature-controlled box, also entered with her.
She had thought it through clearly, Old Sikoses’s neutrality had always had a time limit. She understood what Ruka meant by a Sun loyal only to Auslan, but if Ash took the throne tomorrow, what would happen to Sikoses, who did not take sides? Thus, neutrality itself was already a choice. For Ruka and the entire Sikoses Family, only Neo or Gorba III could be this Sun to have a way out.
This was one of the reasons she had not gone back with Ruka; she did not want to be involved in this political struggle.
At her core, Qiao Suisui trusted no one; she only believed in herself. Even if today Ruka could protect her, provide her with money and a comfortable life, that could never give her the sense of security that standing on her own two feet could. Therefore, she did not tell anyone that she had a risky yet unavoidable plan.
"Look over there."
Qiao Suisui pointed to a barren hillside not far away, where several male Beastmen were resting in twos and threes under giant rocks. Ruka’s military experience immediately told him these were not beasts affiliated with the Interstellar Federation; the one with the highest spiritual power was only B-level, and they looked like Bounty Hunters who lived off random jobs.
"Do you know why I insisted on this isolated place when I first came here?"
Ruka turned to her, deeply captivated by her bright and dark eyes.
"I’ve seen the location map of this place; it’s on the border of Auslan, adjoining the Freedom Alliance on the left, and a few kilometers to the right is the landing zone for various member states entering Auslan. As long as the other member states come to Auslan, this is an inevitable passageway." Qiao Suisui turned back and smiled at Ruka, "I want to open a waystation here."
She had looked over the two-story building and planned to renovate the first floor into multiple rooms with a common area to rent out, while temporarily living on the second floor. She had also considered her safety. There was no way she would risk her own well-being, so she only needed to exchange points for a Protective Device that would act like a firewall, invisible and blocking between the two floors, accessible only to those she granted permission. This would solve the security risk.
All of this was just a temporary measure; how the future would unfold was uncertain, but was she to remain passive and wait to be arranged?

"This place, being far from the village and not near a shop, those Beastmen have no choice but to rest in the open wild. If I can rent a room for 500 Star Coins a night, it would meet their needs, and I would have a steady income."
Ruka was slightly surprised, then his expression turned serious. The thought that she had to worry about earning an income made him feel deeply uneasy throughout.
"Suisui, I can give..."
"I know you would give me anything I want. But Ruka, do you know what I truly desire?"
She wanted to become strong, strong enough to protect herself and never to be trapped under someone’s control again. She wanted to create on her own, for relying on others would only grant temporary comfort, not a lasting solution.
Ruka looked deeply into her eyes and finally sighed, saying, "I understand."
He hooked his arm around Suisui’s lower back and pulled her into his embrace, his voice somewhat muffled.
"Do whatever you want to do; I will be your support. Just remember, this is a border crossing. Apart from the Beastmen from the Freedom Alliance, be extra cautious with those from the Wandering Alliance. They are mostly unaffiliated Beastmen chased away for their wrongdoings or severe aggression, cunning and ruthless, capable of anything."
Seeing her nod, Ruka mentally prepared to ask Angsi to organize a guard rotation for the area, having a team present to protect her around the clock, also serving as a deterrent. Places guarded by the Military Department weren’t approached lightly by desperados or riffraff.
In the following days, Qiao Suisui was busy renovating the small building.
She learned about decoration and design from Interstellar online libraries and gathered some information on her Light Computer to translate her ideas into drawings.
After the previous damage, Ruka had someone repair it again, and now it was livable. She and Ruka moved to the second floor; the master bedroom was Qiao Suisui’s room. Ruka did not ask where he would stay, simply settling in the same room with her, knowing intuitively when he should.
There were five rooms in total on the second floor, one small room for the three pups, leaving three rooms. In addition to that, the master bedroom had an en-suite bathroom, making things convenient. The corner bathroom on the second floor thus became shared by that level.
The first floor consisted of a massive living room, an open kitchen, a bathroom, and five rooms.
Qiao Suisui was not satisfied with the space utilization on the first floor, so in her design, she partitioned the living room, managing to create an extra room, thus adding one more slot for a tenant.
After taking a bath in the evening, Ruka dried her hair and watched her intently selecting the decoration style for each room, hesitating several times before speaking.
Finally, when he finished drying her hair and saw that she still had no intention of talking to him, he cleared his throat and fabricating conversation, said,
"Today, Naonao spat up milk."
Naonao was the liveliest of the three pups, not only pushing his siblings away during feeding but also often sleeping with his paws on their heads.
Qiao Suisui finally shifted her gaze from the Light Computer and looked back at him, "Is he not feeling well?"
Ruka sat beside her, his arm propped on the bed behind her, and while smelling her fragrance, he absently hummed an agreement, saying, "Maybe, but he seems okay."
Qiao Suisui was puzzled; was there an issue or not? She wanted to get out of bed to check on the pups but was pulled back into the man’s embrace.
"Where are you going?"
"To check on the cubs."
"They’re asleep."
"But Naonao..."
Ruka’s hand twirled a strand of her hair, reveling in its silky texture, and felt it tickling his heart.
"We can check on him tomorrow. It’s normal for kids to spit up and eat more afterward," he said.
Qiao Suisui had no choice but to stop insisting and lay in his arms.
The man’s warm palm gently caressed her waist, then moved to her belly.
He felt that her belly was slightly larger than before; he had missed her last pregnancy and was still self-reproachful. This time, he could be with her throughout. Ruka was lost in his thoughts, yet his hands were starting fires all over the person in his arms.
