I Am the Only Fertile Woman in the Game-Chapter 237 The Warmest Embrace
Tata spotted Bellini in Ruka’s embrace first and, seeing his ’rival’, was especially envious. He hid behind Qiao Suisui, baring his teeth and emitting a low growl like that of a leopard cub.
It was this sound that finally made the man look over, and in the next second, his golden pupils violently constricted as he stood rooted to the ground like a rock amidst the waves.
The wind set the wind chimes beneath the corridor ringing.
At this moment, on either side of the corridor, neither of them moved.
Because both were confirming that the other standing before them was not an illusion.
Because two hearts, long-separated, could no longer endure any more shattering of expectant bubbles.
Yet, the hearts of children are the most exposed.
"Mommy!"
Overflowing with surprise, Bellini shouted and then struggled out of Ruka’s arms to run over and throw his arms around Qiao Suisui.
"Mommy! It really is Mommy!"
Tata stood proudly at the side, hands akimbo, "I told you so, Mommy would definitely come back! Bellini, from now on, you must call me ’brother’!"
The two little boys argued back and forth, but Ruka didn’t intervene as he usually would.
He walked towards Qiao Suisui step by step, each one as if he didn’t know how to walk, stiff and without feeling. His gaze was firmly fixed on her, fearing she would disappear into the air the next instant.
Qiao Suisui felt a tightness in her throat, she swallowed the sourness, and with a trembling voice, called out, "Ruka..."
The man finally stood before her, not responding, but instead slowly extended his hand, his trembling fingertips gently touching her cheek as if to confirm her real presence. His eyes reddened, brimming with tears, and his trembling fingers tenderly traced her eyebrows, eyes, cheeks, and hair, every motion filled with an indescribable gentleness and cherishing.
Ruka’s eyes were now bloodshot, his body unable to stop shaking.
He struggled to speak as if to confirm something, "You’ve come back..."
Qiao Suisui smiled through her tears and hugged him tightly.
"I’ve come back. I’ve finally seen you."
It was only when he felt Qiao Suisui’s tight embrace that Ruka dared to continue breathing. He belatedly hugged her back, and the two held each other close.
In that moment, time seemed to stand still, only their heartbeats echoing in their ears. Two hearts, long separated, were once again close, all pain and longing in that instant dissolved into nothingness, leaving only endless warmth.
Ruka’s emotions shifted from disbelief at first to surprise, and then to the joy of regaining what was lost, as if in that instant he went through countless emotional peaks and troughs. He had seen her figure in his dreams countless times, only to wake up to a cold bed and endless loneliness. Now, she really stood before him, and he could hardly believe his eyes.
"I thought I would never see you again..." Ruka’s voice choked up, and tears finally broke through, rolling down his cheeks.
He held Qiao Suisui in a tight embrace as if to fuse her into his very bones, never to be apart again.
"Suisui..."
"Suisui."
Ruka called her name over and over, clinging on tightly.
Bellini and Tata simultaneously covered their eyes with their hands, but couldn’t resist peeking through their fingers.
Bellini whispered, "Uncle Ruka missed Mommy a lot, he must be really happy now, I’ve seen him secretly crying in Mommy’s palace lots of times."
Tata placed a finger to his lips, his face serious, "Shh! Uncle Ruka must have a lot to say to Mommy, let’s go."
"Go where?"
"To tell Klein and Aria the good news, of course. We’ll tell the brothers when they come back."
After finishing speaking, he quietly slipped away with Bellini.
Ruka was too preoccupied to notice the condition of the two children, because at this moment, his eyes and heart were filled only with the person before him.
He cupped her face and leaned in for a kiss. It started out gentle and lingering, but the more he felt her softness and warmth, the harder he kissed, as if all the years of repression and longing in his heart had become like floodgates opened, uncontrollable and overwhelming.
Qiao Suisui endured the man’s passion, with her back against the pillar, being kissed until she was breathless.
"Ruka..."
She tried to awaken his reason, but the man used his knee to part her legs, wedging his strong thigh between hers.
Ruka heard her voice and stopped, panting, his eyes red as he stared at her and asked, "Will you leave again?"
Qiao Suisui shook her head, her slender arms hooking around his neck.
The man supported her lower back and pressed her further into his body. He buried his head in her shoulder, not wanting her to see his tears.
"Suisui... I truly can’t be without you."
"I know. I know all of it."
How could she not know, Ruka’s agony during the days and nights after losing her? And she has been trying, again and again, to return to his side.
"I’m back now, Ruka, look, I’m fine."
Ruka rarely showed his emotions like this, his feelings at the moment incredibly complex, as if he was on cloud nine yet also tormented with anxiety.
He needed to confirm, at all times, that she was right by his side, in any way he could.
He lifted Qiao Suisui up and walked directly into the palace, placing her on the soft bed and pressing down upon her.
The man’s large hand roamed over every inch of her skin, feeling her warmth, verifying her breaths.
It wasn’t enough, still not enough.
Ruka turned her over, kissing her back.
The most sensitive spot for Qiao Suisui was the back of her neck. He brushed aside her long hair, gently biting at the flesh of her neck, while sweeping her up in the most fervent passion, causing her legs to tremble involuntarily.
His large hand covered her small one, his fingers tightly interlacing through hers, leaving her no escape.
In the midst of intense pleasure, Qiao Suisui suddenly felt a sharp pain in her head.
A faint scar appeared out of nowhere on her arm, and at this moment, the Qiao Suisui from this timeline completely merged with her, memories flooding into her mind like a landslide.
The underground lab had not been destroyed, so it was preserved as it was before, and later, Qiao Suisui and Carl found many clues, piecing together the truth of the past. The most incriminating evidence was the original state of the underground lab, and so she used this to expose the Federation’s cruel experiments to the Freedom Organization.
The information fermented, and Freedom spread it relentlessly, causing public outrage in no time.
The leader was boycotted by the citizens of the entire Interstellar and was ousted from office.
Enraged yet still someone of power, with intricate backing, in the end, he scapegoated Zong Yan, and the related personnel defected en masse, trampling over Zong Yan. But Zong Yan was no ordinary person; he retaliated against the leader, and the inner struggle between the two ignited a Federation internal war that lasted for years.
Since Wei Shou was directly killed by Qiao Suisui on the Southern Battlefield, Qiao Suisui from this timeline never reunited with Zong Fang.
Zong Fang had been serving on the Southern Battlefield until the civil war began, after which he was summoned back by Zong Yan.
Zong Yan threatened him with Qiao Suisui’s safety, asserting that if the leader’s power was not uprooted completely, the leader would surely take revenge on Qiao Suisui, since she was the one who exposed the underground lab incident.
As a result, to protect her, Zong Fang became the commander of Zong Yan’s forces.
