I am the Entertainment Tycoon-Chapter 912: Roots & Wings Project
The Sakura Abode Country was not merely an island; it was an island of continental dimensions. This distinction is crucial, as it meant that its landmass was vast enough to encompass an astonishing variety of geographical features. Imagine an island so immense that it could host entirely different continents within its borders. This immense scale allowed for the development of a remarkable diversity of landscapes.
Within the Sakura Abode Country, one could find towering, majestic mountains (like the Heartwood Mountains), their peaks often shrouded in mist or snow, offering breathtaking vistas. These could transition into sprawling, fertile plains, ideal for agriculture and the sustenance of a large population. Elsewhere, dense, ancient forests would stretch for miles, teeming with unique flora and fauna, perhaps hiding ancient secrets or rare resources. The country’s varied climate and topography also allowed for the existence of small pockets of arid deserts, where resilient life forms carved out an existence under the relentless sun, and mysterious, waterlogged swamps, their murky depths holding their own distinct ecosystems.
As the most technologically and socially advanced nation on the entire planet of Azure Star, the citizens of this great country were able to effectively inhabit and utilize the majority of this diverse territory. Their development wasn’t limited to a few urban centers. Even in the most isolated and seemingly remote cities, far from the bustling metropolises, the fundamental necessities of life were not only provided but were delivered with an exceptional standard of quality and efficiency. This implies robust infrastructure, advanced logistics, and a societal commitment to ensuring that no citizen, regardless of their location, is deprived of essential services like clean water, reliable energy, advanced healthcare, and excellent communication. The reach of their development extended to the furthest corners of their immense island.
It’s truly remarkable that relatively modest cities, such as Charlotte with its approximately 200,000 residents, achieved such a sophisticated level of development. Their urban planning and infrastructure were so advanced that they could genuinely stand comparison to the core districts of major metropolitan centers in other nations. However, despite this impressive progress and accumulated prosperity, the Sakureans were not shielded from the fundamental challenges posed by the natural world and the darker aspects of human behavior. The relentless forces of natural calamities and the inherent capacity for malice within humanity continued to claim lives. It became evident that no matter how far the Sakureans pushed the boundaries of their technological prowess, these two deep-seated evils remained stubbornly beyond complete eradication.
Natural calamities were a force of such immense and uncontrollable power that even centuries of relentless technological advancement by the Sakureans could not render them immune. While their sophisticated engineering and predictive models might have allowed them to mitigate certain disasters or shift their focus to different types of threats, the fundamental unpredictability and sheer force of nature meant that destructive events would always occur. For instance, while they might have perfected seismic dampening to withstand earthquakes, they could still be vulnerable to unprecedented superstorms or rare geological phenomena that their current understanding and technology could not fully anticipate or counteract. Their resilience lay not in preventing these events, but in adapting and surviving them.
**Elaboration on Humanity’s Evil Nature:** Similarly, the insidious element of humanity’s evil nature proved equally intractable. The Sakurean society, despite its highly efficient and presumably advanced law enforcement and societal structures, found itself unable to completely eliminate the propensity for individuals to cause harm. Even with the most stringent surveillance, the most effective deterrents, and the most robust investigative capabilities, the internal motivations for malice—jealousy, greed, rage, or sheer sadism—remained an intrinsic part of the human condition. The Sakurean police, therefore, were not able to *eradicate* these tendencies but focused their efforts on *suppression*. Their unparalleled effectiveness lay in their ability to preemptively identify threats, swiftly apprehend perpetrators, and meticulously dismantle criminal networks. This meticulous approach significantly reduced the frequency and severity of violent crimes, resulting in the Sakurean nation boasting the lowest homicide rate on the planet. Their success was measured not by the absence of evil, but by their extraordinary capacity to contain and neutralize its destructive potential.
Having delved into the societal and economic factors at play, we can now truly grasp the profound necessity of orphanages within even a prosperous nation like Sakurea. These institutions served as vital sanctuaries, providing refuge for children whose parents had tragically passed away. While the Sakurean government admirably recognized this need and provided funding for every orphanage across the land, the reality for the children residing within them remained starkly challenging.
The government’s financial support, while crucial, was primarily directed towards ensuring the bare necessities. This meant that funds were allocated for fundamental aspects such as nutritious food, essential healthcare, basic hygiene, and access to education. However, children require far more than just their basic physical and intellectual needs to be met.
A child’s development flourishes not solely on sustenance and schooling, but on the richness of experience and the exploration of the world around them. They need to be exposed to diverse perspectives, to engage with the broader tapestry of society, and to cultivate a sense of wonder about the world. This is precisely where avenues of culture and entertainment become indispensable. Resources like books, which transport young minds to different times and places; manga and anime, offering vibrant visual storytelling and cultural insights; movies, providing windows into human experience and diverse narratives; and games, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and social interaction – all these play an equally pivotal role in a child’s holistic growth.
How can we possibly explain to a child, with all their innate curiosity and desire for joy, that they are denied the same opportunities for fun and enrichment as their peers, simply because they are an orphan? This disparity creates a deep emotional wound, a constant reminder of their perceived difference, and a potential barrier to their full development.
Every single child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves to experience a childhood brimming with wonder. They deserve the chance to dream, to explore, to be entertained, and to connect with the world in ways that spark their imagination and nurture their spirit. The limitations imposed by the purely utilitarian approach to orphanage funding ultimately fell short of providing this essential human right.
That’s why when Theo contemplated how to use his fortune to help others, he didn’t hesitate before instructing his charity organization to start by funding the orphanages.
After all, with his past life experience, he knew how hard life in an orphanage could be. Even though the Sakurean’s orphanages were much better, they at least guaranteed the essentials for the children. Theo also knew that kids didn’t care about that. He knew the children just wanted to have fun, because it was exactly what he wanted when he was just a little orphan in his past life.
It was only when he became a teenager and he became aware of the difficulty of the orphanage operations, that he woke up from his childhood dream. He started working part-time to help with the orphanage, as he didn’t want his brothers and sisters, still in their childhood, to worry about things; he wanted them to have the happiest childhood.
Now in this life, Theo’s wish stayed the same, but with his Charity Organization, he could make every orphanage child in the Sakurean country have a childhood full of wonder!
That is how the Roots & Wings Project from the Tree’s Gift Charity was born!
The Roots & Wings Project was an initiative from Theo’s charity to disseminate culture and entertainment to every orphanage in the Sakura Abode Country!
And after months of preparations, the Tree’s Gift Charity was ready to launch this project nationally!
This meant that every child in orphanages around the Sakurean country would have access to culture and entertainment just like any other child could!
Theo was finally realizing his dream of giving a childhood full of wonder to these children!
