Chapter 55: The Unknown Enemy

Another week passed, during this period Raphael felt everything was back to normal again. Michael and Leo beat the hell out of each other, each day ending with Michael knocked out cold.

"This day has finally come. These two brats are finally back to normal now."

A rare smile now appeared on Raphael’s face. Some things, you only realize how important they are when you lose them. Watching the two brats fight, no matter what you say, was still easier on the eyes than two noisy lunatics who completely disregarded his existence.

"But the way Leo taught Michael to utilize energy is quite interesting. I should probably spend a bit more time to understand it."

Of course he wasn’t just standing there staring; he was also there to secretly learn. Being a genius, Raphael understood well that if something is good, just learn it, whether secretly or directly doesn’t matter.

The thirst for progress is an essential quality of a genius, even someone beaten down by the world like Raphael found it hard to forget who he used to be.

Of course he also couldn’t just go up and ask Leo to teach him. Their relationship wasn’t that good yet. At least he had to wait until the bet between them was over.

Moreover, Leo’s training method for Michael was useless for Raphael because the power gap was too big. The physical strength of a demigod-level contractor wasn’t something a not-fully-developed kid who was only level one could compare to.

Suddenly he turned his head to look in another direction and narrowed his eyes. Far away, someone who looked extremely suspicious was approaching Leo and Michael’s spot.

"Hmm? Just passing by, or intentionally targeting us?" Raphael muttered and then stealthily moved closer to get a better look at who was coming.

When he got closer, he was dumbfounded because what appeared in his sight was a little girl who looked about the same age as Leo and Michael. The girl had a flawless, perfect face, big sparkling eyes under the light rays, and white-gold hair with a bit of a reflective quality as if it was real gemstone.

Her attire was even stranger. She wore a long dress that covered her entire body, and the style was quite similar to that of an empire’s princess. The dress and her veil were inlaid full of crystals and gemstones, with gilded patterns. The sheer costliness of this outfit was hard to imagine.

Raphael had seen countless beauties before, but none could compare to this little girl. But looking at her gave him a feeling that wasn’t quite natural, more like some craftsman had molded her out of clay.

"Fate often makes me encounter strange things. Could this be my future daughter-in-law?" 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

A wild idea flashed in Raphael’s head before he immediately snuffed it out because he discovered something abnormal.

That little girl’s gaze was a bit... No, it was full of murderous aura. Even though the veil covered half her face, Raphael could sense the crazy smile when facing her sworn enemy.

???

What the hell is this? Where did those two brats make such a deadly enemy? But they’ve never left this place since they were born.

Raphael felt a massive headache. Just thought she was a future daughter-in-law but turns out the other party is an enemy. Moreover, the hatred isn’t small, just look at that almost insane gaze and you’ll understand.

"What should I do? Stop the girl or just let the two brats meet her. Hmm, let it be. For now, just observe quietly, after all my strength is much greater so I can save them immediately."

---

Leo and Michael were using their domains to spar when they suddenly stopped. Their eyes both turned towards a bush because their domains detected something rushing here quickly from that direction.

"This shape is most likely human and moreover seems to be female. This height must be a little girl."

The more Michael analyzed, the more suspicious he became. A little girl running so fast? Moreover, the direction she’s running seems very much aimed at them.

"I have a bad feeling. She might be an enemy." Leo frowned, alert.

According to him, this world is quite strange and he hasn’t left this place to witness how vast the world really is, so being careful is the right thing to do.

In contrast, Michael curled his lip in disdain, not thinking much of the person they were about to face. In his opinion, at this age, he and Leo combined are invincible.

"What are you scared of? It’s just a girl about our age. Even if she’s an enemy, I can suppress her with one hand."

In Michael’s eyes, Leo was almost one hundred percent the main character of this world. And the main character, in his opinion, is at least the strongest among the same rank. And even though he loses to Leo, he can still fight back, so he deduces he’s almost the strongest kid in the world. It is precisely these analyses that give him infinite confidence.

From within the bushes, a little girl stepped out. Michael stared at her without blinking, his heart beating faster, and moreover he had the urge to pinch the cheeks of that damn cuteness before his eyes.

"Did you come looking for us?"

Leo stared at her guardedly. For some reason, he had a feeling that she had a problem with Eat God and he was the one taking the blame.

As soon as she saw the brat before her eyes, she immediately used her right palm to cover her face. Her pupils suddenly grew larger, her gaze trembling with excitement. Moreover, her pupils quickly transformed, from a human-like form to resembling the eyes of... a dragon!

"Ha ha ha ha... Finally found you two bastards. This time I must personally kill you two scoundrels."

She laughed crazily, a terrifying murderous aura spreading out along with the imposing manner of a supreme being. A star flew out from above her head, shining and enveloping her entire body. Her body then grew larger, even becoming a bit bigger than Leo’s Big Panda form.
