Chapter 652: Infiltration of the Hackers!

Ye Lingchen shrugged and asked, “So you’re blaming me?”

Even a fool would know who the driving force behind that news was.

Nevertheless, it was not an issue that Ye Lingchen should concern himself with. The internet world was complicated, and there were naturally those who specialized in network monitoring. The scope of it was huge, but they were not responsible for paying attention to abnormalities in IP addresses. His focus leaned more toward tracking down major online fraudsters, catching hackers, and uncovering malware creators.

An abnormality in the network data was a minor problem that many people felt did not warrant scrutiny.

Stick Nation.

Inside an abandoned warehouse was a huge open space filled with nothing but computers. People came in one after another and sat in front of the computers.

The computer screen was black, and there were various blinkering English letters.

“Two of Hearts, is everyone here?” someone asked.

“Our base is ready, but the other three bases aren’t yet.” Two of Hearts replied.

“Then we’ll wait.”

“King of Spades, our lineup is more than enough to destroy them. Why do we need to wait?”

“We’re waiting for further instructions!” King of Spades answered in a low voice.

The scene was the same as three other secret locations. Many people had also gathered in front of their computers and waited patiently.

“Hehe, the effect of public opinion on the internet is starting to show, especially on an international scale. This is very beneficial to us.”

What happened to Hyun-Min Kim in China was known only to the Chinese, but the Stick Nation had twisted the truth, taken the situation out of context, and misled many people around the world.

“This is just a lesson for the Chinese people. The most important thing is to locate the Miracle Doctor Y’s rabies prescription! Did he think he was that great just because of that prescription? We’ll show them!”

Everyone chuckled. “It was bad luck on their end to provoke our people and give us a rare chance to unite. China’s computer technology lags far behind in the international arena and they can’t possibly compare to us. This time, we’ll make sure they end up in a sorry state!”

King of Spades: “Everyone, don’t underestimate the enemy. There are many people in China and expert hackers might exist somehow. In short, we must focus on completing the task. Don’t just fight without a purpose and don’t underestimate the enemy!”

Two of Hearts: “Tch, meeting an expert is exactly what I’m hoping for!”

“That’s right. My fingers just happen to be feeling restless. I’m itching to compare our strengths!”

Everyone’s fingers flew wildly across the keyboard, with densely packed lines of programming language that could make any ordinary person numb in the scalp. Even a computing professor would find it confusing to see all those flickering lines of code.

Anyone who knew a thing or two about hackers would gasp and stare blankly at the group of people there.

The reason was due to the sheer skill those individuals possessed. They were practically the stuff of legends.

When Two of Hearts was still a young man, he developed a virus all by himself and hacked the entire Stick Nation network overnight. On that day, everyone’s computer screen displayed a snowflake, causing losses amounting to tens of billions. Despite that, no one could locate any evidence that would incriminate him.

King of Spades was a very well-known hacker in the Stick Nation and was considered one of the veterans. He once hacked the headquarters of a listed company out of revenge, publishing the company’s secrets and shady transactions to the public. In one night alone, he managed to engineer that company’s bankruptcy and downfall.

Aside from the two of them, the others were mostly top hackers from the Stick Nation. Some had created anti-virus software, while some were responsible for the network security of the entire Stick Nation. Their notoriety struck fear into everyone!

Any one of them had eked out a reputation for themselves in the internet world.

On that day, however, they were united, as if prepared to join forces.

“I found the IP gateway!” One of them suddenly blurted out. At the same time, the content on everyone’s desktop began to change and their expression all froze.

“On your mark everyone! Act now! Fight your own battles and look out for opportunities. You can have fun and cause mayhem, but remember your task for today! Locate any and every news about Miracle Doctor Y, especially when it comes to his rabies prescription! We must get our hands on it!”

“Hey, Big King and Little King aren’t here yet. Are we going to act just like that?”

“We have enough people already. Why do we still need Big King and Little King? Do you think Chinese technology can compare to Murica’s?”

“Pay attention to your cover. Hide your IP address and don’t leave any evidence!”

“Roger that!”

“Understood!”

“Muahahaha, I can’t wait!”

The group of hackers stared at the computer with beaming eyes, licked their lips, and tapped away their keyboard. What was originally a calm network suddenly began stirring up after their actions. The waves attracted the attention of top hackers from all around the world.

“Damn! What’s going on? Something big must have happened on the internet.” One of the more perceptive international hackers instantly noticed the abnormality.

“Wait. Let me check the source of the disturbance.”

“F*ck, this is gonna be fun to watch. A hacker war, eh?”

“I located their IP. This technique…it looks like a technique by the Stick Nation’s King of Spades. F*ck, I’ve been kicked out!”

“Come on, let’s track the IP and have a look at the excitement brewing in this hacker war. Who knows, we might stand to benefit from it.”

“China’s network is going to be on fire this time. Their hacking skills don’t seem to be any good. Muahaha, is this happening because of the rabies virus prescription?”

In a flash, many international hackers joined in. Some just wanted to observe the excitement, while others tried to obtain stuff amidst all the chaos. Still, others were acting as troublemakers, making for a very lively scene.

It was 6.30pm and the sky was getting darker.

Ye Lingchen called Little Green and Little Gray over before asking, “Are there any big game in the forest?”

Little Green and Little Gray thought for a moment, and said, “There are elephants, giraffes, zebras, bison, brown bears…”

Ye Lingchen interrupted quickly. “The bison will do. Go and hunt one for me.”

Little Green and Little Gray rushed out immediately, raising their necks and howling, “Little ones, come over here! Have you found any bison?”

Ye Lingchen smiled. Learning Dog Language proved to be quite useful for him. At least he could choose what he wanted them to hunt instead of just eating whatever they hunted for him.

“You’ve got to be kidding me. You’re too much of a workaholic, aren’t you? Don’t you want to rest?” Hao Yun and Dong Miaomiao walked over and could not help making that remark after staring at Ouyang Qing, who was still madly at work. In the same vein, they also sympathized with Ouyang Qing’s team, all of whom were miserable because of how hard it was to live up to the expectations of a boss like her.

Their stomachs were grumbling and they were ready to ask Ye Lingchen about dinner.

Ouyang Qing glanced at Hao Yun, said nothing, and continued to work. The smart security system had reached a critical point and she was about to make a breakthrough in one fell swoop.

“Chairman Ye, I’ve already arranged to have the herbs planted. Let me show you.” Dong Miaomiao showed Ye Lingchen the plan she designed.

“Sit here for a moment. I’ll treat everyone to some bison tonight.” Ye Lingchen nodded and smiled. He perused Dong Miaomiao’s planting plan and would adjust or improve on some flaws.

After hearing that Ye Lingchen was about to treat everyone to some bison, Hao Yun and Dong Miaomiao’s eyes lit up suddenly in eager expectation. Meanwhile, Ouyang Qing and the others were puzzled, as they did not even see a shadow of a bison. Where could that bison meat possibly come from, then?

At that moment, a young man from Ouyang Qing’s team suddenly gasped and exclaimed, “F*CK! China’s major entertainment websites have all been hacked!”
