HxH : Pokemon Master-Chapter 38: The True Aqua Glass!
Chapter 38 - The True Aqua Glass!
As if sensing Akira confusion, Pyon, the paleograph hunter, spoke up.
"The Moros Ruins aren't like the Harimu Ruins, which have a long history and a kingdom's legacy."
"The Moros Ruins are actually remnants of some small tribes, with no unique history to speak of."
"These death auras were likely produced by chance, perhaps related to the backward customs of the tribes."
"In earlier years, many tribes had rather bloody customs, such as human sacrifices to the heavens in exchange for peace."
...
After Pyon explanation, Akira realized that places like the Harimu Ruins were truly exceptional. Even within the entire Six Continents, it is considered a unique existence. This is also why it has been dubbed the "Land of Death"!
"Gengar Gengar!"
As if to confirm Pyon words, the purple chubby figure ahead used its short hands to devour the death aura like it was a spicy snack, while patting its belly and shouting.
"What did it just say?" Pyon leaned forward slightly, tucking her golden hair behind her ear, her light pink eyes smiling as she looked at Gengar and asked curiously.
"Gengar just said that the concentration of death aura here is much weaker than in the Harimu Ruins, so it's not as satisfying to eat."
"Huh?"
Pyon was startled by Gengar words.
Many people find the death aura terrifying, but she had never heard anyone complain that it wasn't strong enough... However, after recalling Akira explanation that Gengar could grow by feeding on death aura, Pyon reluctantly accepted it.
....
Deep within the Moros Ruins.
This place, which had never been visited by anyone, finally welcomed its first group of people today! The cave didn't exceed the trio's expectations, it was mostly filled with jars, pots, and some oddly shaped jewelry.
This area was once a tribal settlement, and these treasures were mainly antiques. Though not as impressive as the Harimu Ruins, their value was likely still considerable.
What caught the trio attention the most were the four crystal-clear "vines" on the wall in the center of the room!
Without hesitation, Pyon took out her phone and snapped a photo, followed by a flurry of rapid typing.
Akira, however, couldn't wait for Pyon and immediately activated his Pokédex ability!
Name: Aqua Glass
Origin: Formed from resilient vines growing deep within the Kila Volcano, which absorbed sulfur compounds over time and shed their anthocyanins.
Appearance: Transparent in color, it is one of the world seven great beauties, and its value is immeasurable!
Indeed!
This time, they had encountered the real deal!
Meanwhile, Pyon was still frantically typing, not as efficient as Akira. Her fingers moved so fast they seemed to leave afterimages, making Akira think that any author on Earth would envy such typing speed.
Before long, Pyon pressed the final key with a heavy thud, exhaled deeply, and then excitedly looked at the other two.
"This is it! Genuine Aqua Glass!"
Akira remained unfazed, but Satotz was completely reassured. With Pyon, the Rabbit of the Twelve Zodiac confirming its authenticity, the item genuineness was highly credible.
He probably also had some understanding of Pyon Nen ability.
The three of them stepped forward, wanting to observe it more closely, completely ignoring the piles of antique treasures around them.
Even if there were only three medium-length strands of Aqua Glass, their value would far exceed the combined worth of all the surrounding antiques!
From a distance, Akira already felt the Aqua Glass was stunning, but upon closer inspection, he truly appreciated its beauty.
Although the Aqua Glass grew on the wall, unlike the semi-finished vines embedded within, it seemed to merely cling to the surface, as if it could be plucked with a gentle tug. The surface of the Aqua Glass was adorned with deep green circular patterns, resembling ivy vines.
Yet, these patterns added a touch of color to the otherwise transparent Aqua Glass. The water glass, as clear and translucent as amber, seemed as if it would shatter at the slightest touch. Even in the dimly lit cave, it radiated a gem-like luster from every angle.
Looking at the mountain of treasures piled beside it, the two were like the bright moon and a firefly—utterly incomparable.
"Is this one of the Seven Great Beauties of the World? It's truly breathtaking! I wonder what the other six beauties must look like?"
Staring at this never-before-seen beauty, Akira was momentarily stunned, murmuring to himself.
