Chapter 311: Internal Strength

The birth of Primal marks an unprecedented leap forward for Tom’s artificial intelligence system.

It could even be said that if Tom wanted, he could transform from a Clone Disaster into a Mechanical Disaster at any time, just like he did with the Black Mountain Civilization, leaving all subsequent developments to Primal to decide, while he could simply lie back and relax.

Furthermore, Primal will definitely perform better than Akakenu AI.

But it’s clear that Tom won’t do that.

The creation of Primal has directly boosted Tom’s industrial capabilities to at least four times their previous level.

The alliance between Havilah Civilization and Black Mountain Civilization achieved a synergy greater than the sum of its parts. And now, to some extent, Tom and Primal could achieve a similar effect.

Because of Tom’s unique form of existence, which is more efficient and powerful than the original Havilah Civilization, its combination with Primal achieves a greater improvement than the alliance between Havilah and Black Mountain Civilization!

According to a rough estimate, Tom believes that with the increase of his maximum number of consciousness connections to 8 billion and the birth of Primal, his current industrial strength is at least ten times greater than it was in the Lyra G16 Solar System!

Furthermore, Tom possesses a unique advantage: he can freely convert between industrial and scientific research capabilities.

In an ordinary civilization, industrial strength is industrial strength, and scientific research strength is scientific research strength. Although the two are related, they are ultimately different.

After all, an engineer who spends all day buried in drawing blueprints is unlikely to work in a cutting-edge physics lab. Even if he did, he wouldn’t be competent.

This illustrates the incompatibility between industrial strength and scientific research strength.

But for Tom, even if a clone was cooking in the kitchen one moment, it could go to work in the most advanced gravitational wave detection base the next without any hindrance.

As a result, industrial capacity increased tenfold, which also meant that Tom’s scientific research capabilities increased tenfold.

Thus, not long after Primal was born, through the powerful combination of biological intelligence and artificial intelligence, the core technology of Havilah Civilization, the variable energy shield, was thoroughly analyzed and digested by Tom and became Tom’s own technology.

Tom even made some optimizations and iterations to it. Now, the variable energy shield that Tom made is more advanced than the original version of Havilah Civilization.

At this point, all the more urgent and critical scientific research tasks have been completed. The next step is to thoroughly and meticulously assimilate all the conventional scientific and technological data and techniques of both civilizations.

This is a complex and time-consuming task with numerous individual technologies that offer little overall improvement.

Fortunately, Tom now possesses greater research capabilities, and it should be able to complete it in a short time.

Time continued to flow slowly, the enormous Flying Star continued to shrink, and Tom’s massive fleet maintained a speed of 55% of the speed of light, advancing continuously in this vast universe.

A total of 8 billion clones are busy in the laboratory or factory, and 4 billion clones rotate in time, so that Tom’s 8 billion consciousness connections are always fully occupied and not a single one is wasted.

Materials science, biology, medicine, physics, engineering, mechanics, armor, radar, engines, propulsion, communications, computing, and so on, Tom tackles every discipline and every field within it, leaving no stone unturned.

Even if he was just digesting and absorbing the information, just learning rather than developing it himself, even if Tom possessed Primal and the maximum number of consciousness connections of 8 billion, even with such enormous scientific research capabilities, Tom still had a certain feeling in the face of the technological data from these two great civilizations.

In the face of such data, Tom felt like an ant trying to map the entire universe, one grain of sand at a time.

There was no way around it; the amount of scientific and technological data was simply too vast, and the data was far too complex.

Tom gradually came to realize something.

For ordinary intelligent civilizations, the challenges they face in advancing their technology are probably not limited to researching and finding new sciences.

Even without having to make any effort to find new science, but having all the information about new science laid out before you, just learning, digesting, and absorbing it would be difficult enough.

Think back to when I was still on Earth, when I was in school. Civilization created the best possible learning conditions for students like me. There were professional teachers who patiently explained each knowledge point, and all kinds of knowledge were readily available on the Internet. But... if you can’t learn it, you just can’t learn it.

That’s just some basic, very specific knowledge.

If a civilization wants to improve itself through learning, what it needs to learn must be all-encompassing, involving every field of science.

It would take at least a billion, or even several billion, outstanding cutting-edge scientific and technological talents to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to learning and digesting all this knowledge.

Cultivating hundreds of millions, even billions, of outstanding cutting-edge scientific and technological talents, enabling them to study without distractions, would have been extremely difficult even for the Havilah Civilization at its inception.

This requires a stable social environment, a strong central government, a positive public opinion environment, a well-functioning social mechanism, and a larger number of service and engineering personnel willing to contribute to the operation of society despite relatively meager salaries.

This is difficult enough for a massive civilization with hundreds of billions of people.

After all, the larger the population, the more difficult it is to manage.

But achieving this merely grants one the qualification to "learn" the next stage of scientific and technological information.

"In this vast universe, even if a super civilization were to directly disclose all the technological data it possesses, there would be very few civilizations that could advance to the Strong Nuclear, Gravity, or even higher stages."

Acquiring technological information from outside sources to improve oneself is certainly a shortcut. However, this shortcut is not something that just any civilization can take advantage of.

The most crucial and core element lies in the civilization’s own ’internal strength’.

If you don’t manage your internal skills, even if scientific and technological information is right in front of you, you can only stare blankly at it, unable to digest it at all.

With internal strength, even without access to external scientific and technological information, one can still improve their technological level through their own efforts.

Fortunately, I am different from ordinary civilizations. My ’internal strength’ doesn’t need to be practiced at all. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

The only thing that’s holding me back is the number of consciousness connections.

"As long as I have enough consciousness connections, I can easily handle even the most massive tasks of processing technological data."
