Hubby's Deep Love Will Never Change-Chapter 1184 Heather of the Other Shore Flower (208)
"Haha..." Su Jin laughed heartily and said, "Sister Weiwei is really humorous."
Heather smiled without saying anything.
She wasn’t speaking to make her believe anything.
It’s nothing, even if it’s taken as a fictional story, at least her past would exist in this form and wouldn’t completely disappear without a trace, unknown to anyone.
Half an hour passed before the explosion points were re-set. The demolition team went in to check everything, ensuring no unauthorized personnel approached the remote control devices. Everything was ready.
After the script was explained, the director ran out of the set, leaving Heather and some camera crew and staff inside.
"Once you’re ready—action!"
Heather’s martial arts scenes were mostly one-take shots. They filmed several takes, and the fight scenes from the first floor up to the third-floor corridor were perfect.
"Alright, let’s prepare for the next scene."
Heather stood on the third floor, while the crew started helping her put on the wire harness.
"Sister Weiwei, your fight scenes are so thrilling, there hasn’t been a single NG (no good take)." This sounded more like a heartfelt remark than mere flattery.
"Thank you."
"But why don’t you participate in martial arts competitions? I think you could easily win the world championship."
People often asked her this question, and she could only reply, "Not very interested."
The person thought, listen, she said not very interested, not that she couldn’t win. Meaning if she were interested, winning the championship wouldn’t be a problem, right?
"Director, everything’s ready," the scene coordinator informed via the walkie-talkie.
"Is everything ready? Is Wei Wei prepared?"
"Sister Weiwei said she’s ready."
"Wei Wei, how about a break? You’ve shot so many scenes, you must be tired."
"Director, Sister Weiwei said there’s no need, she’s okay."
"Alright, once everything is ready, let’s get started— slate—action!" 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
This scene wasn’t difficult. Even without wires, she could directly get from the third floor to the first. There were sponge mats below and safety precautions taken. However, the director wanted zero errors and required the action to look beautiful, so using the wires ensured she could meet the director’s requirements more smoothly.
Once filming started, Heather did a 360-degree outward flip, using the wire’s force to descend. Suddenly, as she was descending, there was a tilt on one side, and a wire snapped.
"Ah!" The staff on the third floor watched the wire snap in shock, collectively letting out a unified scream.
Heather’s instinctive awareness of danger made her brain react in that instant.
A tilt easily leads to loss of balance, and everything following could get out of control. She anticipated the incoming danger before the wire snapped and proactively cut all the wires.
The others didn’t even see how the other wires snapped. Amidst the loud crashing sound of machinery toppling down, Heather managed to grab the railing of the second floor.
Everyone on the third floor froze.
Because they couldn’t see whether Heather had fallen or not?
The director and others outside could see clearly, but his words through the walkie-talkie were drowned out by the sudden series of explosions.
The entire set was filled with smoke, and as the machinery crashed down, it knocked over the accelerant, instantly igniting a line of fire that grew stronger.
Heather’s eyes narrowed as she flipped herself into the second-floor corridor, shouting to the people above, "I’m fine! Everyone hurry down, there’s a fire!"
