Claudia’s eyes widened. She didn’t expect Harry to know everything even though she hadn’t told him. Was Sarah who reported it secretly? Even though she didn’t expect Sarah to do it because she didn’t want Harry to interfere in her problems again after treating her as a stranger.

Claudia clenched her fists tightly. Her eyes started to fill with tears after hearing her husband’s shouting again like at breakfast. She was quite fed up with seeing her husband who was so hypocritical last night even though he actually hated her.

"Did Sarah report it to you?"

"Yes, he came to me after I had a meeting outside the office. He heard the news of our divorce from his friend. You were really stupid to hire a lawyer who turns out to be connected to your adoptive family!"

"Then, did you immediately agree to it? Will you marry him after we divorce?"

Claudia raised her head arrogantly while folding her arms. "If I said yes, would you be angry?" She moved her lips left and right with an annoyed look. "You are very selfish, Harry. You’re the one who asked for a divorce but you won’t let me marry another man."

Harry swallowed nervously as he loosened the tie. He looked away and without realizing his right hand touched his wife’s waist.

"I’m a little angry."

"Really? I think it’s hard for me to believe what you say because this morning you treated me like a stranger."

"That’s because..." Finally Harry couldn’t hold back his pride. He immediately hugged his wife’s slender body tightly. "Forgive me. I shouldn’t have been rude to you this morning. Actually I was just testing the two of us. Will we be able to live apart even for just a day?"

Claudia narrowed her eyes as she wrapped her arms around her husband’s broad back. "You are so annoying and cruel. You have the heart to treat me as a stranger just to test us. You think I’m just your puppet?"

"Then, I don’t want you to suddenly act cold again just because you trained me to live alone." For a moment, Claudia pursed her lips. "What we did last night, you just thought it was a passing wind?"

Harry shook his head quickly. "It’s impossible for me not to think the moment we had last night was special."

"I’ve actually missed you all day, Harry. I miss telling you stories every time I have a meeting outside the office. I miss having lunch with you. I miss laughing every time I have breakfast with you." For a moment, Claudia rubbed her eyelids, they were starting to get wet. "Do you miss all those moments too?"

"Yes, me too. But the current situation does not allow us to do so. We have to start keeping our distance so that it looks like we had a big fight that caused us to divorce."

"I don’t want to do it."

"But you signed the divorce papers last night. You can’t cancel it anymore." Harry pressed his lips to his wife’s forehead. "You have to survive, Claudia. If you want us to be safe and be together again, please, maybe just for a few months we have to act like strangers."

"Then, what about you? Can you survive without me?"

Two days had passed, since they opened up to each other that night, Claudia felt dissatisfied with listening to her husband’s suggestion to act like a stranger while they were dealing with other people. Therefore, she was fed up with living like this. She called the hotel butler to help her suddenly. Claudia ordered the hotel butler to buy some new hotel furniture because she was bored of seeing the same hotel furniture for years. Apart from that, she also asked for help from several hotel staff to prepare several VIP rooms for investors who wanted to stay at her hotel.

Today’s activities are nothing special. She was only carrying out her obligations as the main director of the hotel. Since her parents left her, now she is starting to learn business slowly and even asks for input from Clarissa and Kyle.
