How To End This Marriage-Chapter 186: Deception Unveiled
"Your Highness, please take it slow!" Sylvia burst out, struggling to breathe while Crown Prince Maximus wrapped his hands around her waist like a snake, kissing her like a maniac.
"This is no longer in my control, Princess. All I know is that I desire you. My body has been itching in pain since the moment I brought you here into my chamber. It feels like it has the desire to be inside you at this very moment. I couldn’t tolerate it any longer, but I am still standing composed right in front of you," Crown Prince Maximus said, pulling Princess Sylvia close, pinning her to the wall behind him, and kissing her passionately.
They did not defy their nature. Their voices roared throughout the chamber, unaware that it was all part of a scam orchestrated by someone.
"Is everything prepared?" the Empress asked the maid who had brought the water to Crown Prince Maximus’s chamber.
"Yes, Your Highness, the Empress. Everything has been prepared as per your order. I have delivered the water you sent me to give to the Crown Prince. So, it is already going as you wished," the maid replied.
"Okay, you don’t need to dwell on this matter further. I will handle the situation from here. Now scram, and if this reaches another ear, I will make sure to execute you and your family under false accusations," the Empress said as the maid left, nodding her head.
"Now, where will you go, Sylvia? Do you think you will be the Empress of this tribal empire? As a daughter? No, it will surely be me, because there is no other son born in this place besides you," the Empress spoke, looking toward the chamber where Sylvia and Crown Prince Maximus were staying.
As the sun rose, the Empress went toward the Emperor’s chamber with a tear-streaked face.
"Empress, what happened? Why are you making such a face? Is there any worry you are facing?" the Emperor asked.
"Yes, Your Highness, there is. I didn’t know it would lead to such a disastrous situation. I can’t even describe how bad it is," the Empress said.
"A bad situation? What happened? Did the concubine utter anything else? If so, let us arrange a meeting now. It would be important to inform the Princess and the Crown Prince of the empire to lead the army," the Emperor said, rising from his throne.
"No, dear. Nothing like that happened," the Empress said.
"Then what do you wish to say?" the Emperor asked.
"You wish to make Princess Sylvia the Crown Princess, right?" the Empress said.
"Yes, I do. I don’t think anyone can lead the army better than her," the Emperor said proudly.
"I too wished for that, but I guess she has other plans for the situation we have created," the Empress said.
"What do you mean?" the Emperor asked.
"You should know the relationship between Crown Prince Maximus and our Princess Sylvia. It is now the talk of the town. They have been intimate before marriage, and she will no longer be able to serve the tribal empire in the same way once she marries into the capital and becomes the Crown Princess of the royal palace, not the tribal empire," the Empress said as the Emperor rose in anger.
"What did you say? Say it again!" the Emperor demanded.
"I apologize, my dear, but it is what it is. Their voices echoed throughout the place. Our small walls could not contain such loud voices," the Empress said, looking down.
"I will go meet them myself," the Emperor said.
The Emperor walked toward Crown Prince Maximus’ chamber in anger but still stood outside, knocking on the door to announce his presence.
"The Tribal Emperor wishes to meet Crown Prince Maximus," the guard announced.
"Oh, Emperor, come inside. We wish to meet you as well," the Crown Prince allowed him in while there was no one else inside.
"What is it that you wish to see me for so early in the morning? Did I do something to provoke you, perhaps?" the Crown Prince asked.
"Yes, Your Highness, you must know that what you have done has become the talk of the town. What are you going to do about what you have done with the princess of this tribal empire? Are you going to make her the Crown Princess of the main palace of this empire?" the Emperor asked.
"If you ask my opinion, then yes, I do wish to make her my queen, but this is not what she wishes. She desires to remain in the tribal empire and serve the tribal place by her own will, which is also what you wish. So, this is not against your wishes," Crown Prince Maximus said.
"Then why did you two behave like lovers?" the Emperor asked.
"If it is about that, then yes, I do have romantic intentions toward your daughter, and I would wish for you to give me her hand in marriage. However, this is not what the princess desires, so this situation never occurred. If you wish further clarification, you can talk with the princess herself, who might be wishing for your presence in her chamber," Crown Prince Maximus said. "And about last night’s event, I am sure someone planned all this. I was drugged, and the event took place. It is someone’s scheme to purposely remove the princess from the Crown Princess position of this tribal place," Crown Prince Maximus added.
"I might know who has done this," the Emperor said while taking his leave from the chamber.
He once again went straight to the Empress’s chamber. As she allowed him in, he went ahead and slapped her on the cheek, making her fall to the ground.
"Dear, what have I done to deserve this type of treatment?" the Empress asked, acting like a victim.
"You know very well what you have done. You don’t need to act coy with me when I know all of your schemes," the Emperor said, gritting his teeth in anger.
